I was watching the game last night and honestly, my heart was in my throat for the last three innings. There’s something so exhausting about being a fan of a team that constantly dances on the edge of a total collapse, yet I couldn't look away. It’s that weird cycle of pure euphoria one minute and complete gut-punching disappointment the next.
I’ve realized that if my team just cruised to an easy win every single time, I probably wouldn't care as much. It’s the "blown lead" drama that keeps me coming back. You spend half the time yelling at the TV and the other half feeling like a complete idiot for still caring, but that sudden, unexpected momentum shift makes the whole roller coaster worth it.
Do you guys find that the more stressful a game is, the more satisfying it feels when things finally go your way?
So this is how they sent it to me---
N o t i c e r e g a r d i n g t h e e x p i r a t i o n o f y o u r S&P 500 p a c k a g e
To whom it may concern,
We are reaching out to let you know that your S&P 500 package, which was granted based on
your account number: xxxxxxxxx, is set to expire on February 28, 2013.
Once the S&P 500 package expires on your accounts and services, Bank of America will begin charging standard interest rates and fees—though we'll apply any discounts applicable to our regular clients.
If you happen to be using an authorized overdraft, please make sure to settle that balance by the date your overdraft limit expires.
For anything else, just head down to your local Bank of America branch.
Sincerely, Bank of America
Yeah, that’s how they sent me the notice...
Alright, here’s the deal... I'm a full-time student, and about a year ago, I set up a student account over at Bank of America. They gave me an overdraft limit of $333 and told me the account was good until March 31, 2013. Now, I’m turning 27 on February 26th, and when I called them earlier, they were totally chill—told me it was no biggie, nothing changes just because I'm hitting 27 since I'm still a student, and I don't have to pay back the overdraft yet.
But then, out of nowhere in January, I get this email saying I have to settle the whole negative balance by February 28, 2013. So, I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with this kind of nonsense? As things stand, I can scrape together maybe $700 to cover part of it, but definitely not the full $1,000. What happens next? Has anyone actually been through this? Is there any way to get an extension on paying it back before that March 31st deadline when my account is supposed to be valid until?
Please, man, help me out here so I know what I'm walking into. I need to know what my options are and what the fallout might be before I head down to the bank to see what they have to say to my face. 😁
Alright, thanks for the heads up. I actually called Bank of America to double-check everything before I posted, but after seeing your reply, yeah... you hit the nail on the head. It's exactly like you said. 😁
Hey there!
Got a quick question—if anyone out there actually knows the deal, please hit me up 😁
So, here’s the situation: I’m a full-time student, currently rocking a student banking package over at JPMorgan Chase... you know, the whole setup with the $333 overdraft limit and all that. My current agreement is set to expire on March 31, 2013.
By then, I'll still be enrolled in school, so logically, I should be able to just extend the contract, right? But here’s the kicker—I’m going to hit my 27th birthday before that date rolls around. Does hitting that age limit mess anything up when it comes to renewing or even qualifying for a student package?
Also, do I need to have my balance sitting at zero by March 31st? Like, am I strictly forbidden from being in the red?
The reason I'm asking is because I'm actually in the negative right now. I’m wondering if I need to scramble and pull some crazy scheme together to cover this tiny bit of debt before the deadline, or if I can just breeze through the renewal and keep things rolling as usual.
If anyone knows the answer... please help a guy out 😁
