What makes you happy? in Philosophy ·
Joshua Garcia11 said:Sure, but you're missing the point—it’s about the entire ritual, and the food is just one piece of the puzzle. You have the prep work, the presentation, the atmosphere, and so on. It all symbolizes the near-total sense of autonomy a regular person can actually claim.

Beautifully 🙂
It’s a shame there aren't more simple things like this that we can do regularly to actually feel happy.😢

Joshua Garcia11 said:There is a certain satisfaction in heading up to the smoking room in the attic—just to survey my stash of artisanal smoked sausages. I’ll grab one, head down to the kitchen, and slice it up alongside five or six varieties of cheese. Once I’ve assembled the perfect platter, I’ll slice some fresh cornbread, carry it all out to the patio under the cherry tree, and settle in. This isn't about mindless eating—it's about savoring every single bite. To finish? A glass of premium, dark, caramelized stout. Now *that* is living.

Basically,🙏 food is what makes you😁 unique.

Little things bring me luck—but only in short bursts.
I feel more consistently content when I’m in the right environment—for me, that’s being at my grandma’s place out in the countryside.
Spending time with good people where everyone is actually having fun and keeping the vibes high makes me even happier 🙂.
But if you want to talk about long-term fulfillment? It would be living a steady, peaceful life—everything else would just fall into place 🙂.
On the flip side, anything that gets under my skin or disrupts that peace leaves me feeling miserable.
It’s not some deep philosophy, really 🤷.
