Do I have the right to plan my own funeral?

If I do, I want two DJs spinning vinyl, some seriously high-end sound equipment—maybe even a strobe light for the funeral procession—and we’re partying until sunrise! I might even hire a guy to hang out out front with the "supplies"... (I'd recommend some high-grade stuff).
It would be a hell of a send-off..
Everyone's invited..

Oh, and entry is free...

I know how to love, just not in the way people do these days.

I don't really like this world. I mean, the planet is beautiful, but society...

Those two ideas kind of clash, don't they? There's no such thing as love that "doesn't work." If you actually loved someone—even if that someone was just yourself—that realization alone should be enough to give you some sense of purpose and a reason to keep going. But it sounds like you're just looking for people to love you on your terms... wanting them to stop smirking at you, dressing exactly how you want, or driving the specific cars you've picked out for them...
Either run for President or take ambersranger8's advice immediately—

You guys are all strong—you've got the drive and the will. Me? Not so much. I’m weak, soft... just someone who runs from problems instead of facing them head-on.

I think you're seriously deluding yourself, and if you want proof, just look at the skyrocketing numbers of people struggling with mental and physical health issues. The idea that we're "healthier" just because modern medicine has bumped up our life expectancy is total nonsense. Everyone is struggling, everyone is overwhelmed, and everyone is hurting. You aren't some special case here. The only real difference between you and everyone else is that you refuse to take responsibility, while the rest of us are doing exactly that. There's nothing wrong with that, except for one thing—don't go judging them. Most people can't help it, they don't know how, or they simply won't do it any other way. If you drop that judgment, you'll find your anger fades, and you'll actually end up happier... which makes life a lot easier for the people around you, too.

To feels a bit like you're just going through the motions of a treadmill...
Is that really living? Is that what beauty looks like?

Look, capitalism is what it is—you either deal with it or you opt out. The people you're talking about aren't villains; they're just stuck in the machine, much like the rest of us. You need cash for your kids, groceries, clothes, grabbing a drink with friends, all that stuff.

Ask yourself how you’d feel if you had mouths to feed besides your own—if you had to buy sneakers for someone else instead of yourself, or if...

It’s easy to play the outsider when nobody expects anything from you and you don't expect anything from anyone else. But the second even the slightest expectation pops up from any direction—even just being noticed because you're acting "different" than the crowd🙂—you're sucked back into the system, and sooner or later, it’ll spit you right back out.

The beauty of life isn't found by picking a fight with existence or fighting against what comes your way. If you spend your life battling reality, you're always going to lose. Life is about acceptance—taking the good, the bad, and everything in between, then making smart choices about what you keep and what you toss. That's the whole trick. Once you realize that, there's no room for resentment toward others, because they aren't responsible for your wins or your losses. You made those calls yourself, so if you mess up... well, that's on you. You'll just be smarter next time.🙄
