Despite everything they put me through—which, honestly, probably shaved at least five years off my life expectancy... the performance at the party was absolutely flawless! The energy was incredible, everyone was raving about them, and they truly have a knack for setting the right mood... I suppose I should give them credit where it's due, because I don't regret hiring them for that one reason at all. By the way, the band is total garbage.

The brittle was from Whole Foods—it felt like a scene out of a cartoon with a donkey and a mare in wedding attire—and there were also a few small treats, though about ninety percent of those were made by my mother and our relatives beforehand... and all I can say is, simply wonderful!!!
I am truly grateful to everyone for the overwhelming support! It means everything... In any case, they wouldn't let me take the lead during the negotiations—mostly because I was prepared to go after them physically. They set up a complete ambush for us... quite frankly, it was pathetic. They ended up paying a higher fee than they originally intended without even telling me, just to ensure the band would actually show up and play. For now, I’ll refrain from naming names so they don't find out and decide to flake on us that day, but once the 14th passes, expect some serious fallout...
I completely lost my cool! My father-in-law was trying to be reasonable, explaining to them that we simply cannot pull this off with only fifteen days' notice, but I just snapped... I sent them straight to hell and told them they either show up as scheduled or they pay the full band fee—it’s their problem to solve now! Now I have to head into this meeting this morning... I'm praying it won't even be necessary, but if things go south, I might actually lose it!!
We actually reached out to them last night, but they acted as if we were total strangers... as if, all of a sudden, they had somehow completely FORGOTTEN how to perform at the Ritz-Carlton—which I suppose is just their usual way of doing things—so now we can't even figure out who they are anymore...

Today, with exactly sixteen days left until my wedding, the band informs me that they might not even play, or if they do decide to show up, they won't arrive before 11:00 PM!!! Should I just offer them more money right now to ensure they don't screw me over... or should I just send them packing? I honestly have no idea how anyone is supposed to find a replacement band that's actually available on Valentine's Day with only two weeks to go...
