My apologies! I realize it might be a bit harsh to hear such negative feedback regarding the venue you picked, but perhaps this perspective could actually serve as a helpful heads-up for anyone else still weighing their options! ☕

It’s fine. Honestly, criticism doesn't bother me, especially when it's this over the top and totally unrealistic. I was actually at the wedding myself, and I heard plenty of compliments. Look, I heard some complaints too, but nothing nearly as biased as this. I’d be posting this even if it wasn't my venue.

Trust me, people will find something to moan about with any restaurant. But saying they roasted 50 pounds of potatoes the day before the big night? That just gave me a good laugh! 😂

George Bennett9 said:No offense intended toward anyone, but regarding Fabula—as great as it might look on paper—whenever I recall that neon-fluorescent pea I had in France... good grief... I honestly don't know if anything has changed in the last ten months, but back then, the meal was well below what you'd expect for the price tag. So...🤷! It's not that I'm the type of person who needs everything to be flawless, nor is food usually the deciding factor for me, but they didn't even manage to serve a decent sequence of courses! Oh, and let's not forget—there was a grasshopper in my salad😕. What can I even say? The potatoes were leftovers from yesterday, sitting next to the roasted meat, smelling off, hard, and cold... I'd better stop listing things!

As for The Beatles, I haven't been there in ages, but personally, both the food and the service were perfectly fine! 👍

Now that I read this post back, I sound absolutely rude😍

Man, tell me about it... the lamb was practically jumping off the plate when it hit the table, and then the grasshopper in the salad joined in to sing: "Tonight's the Night" 🙂

Dolis and Lesnina aren't even the same place. Which one are you talking about?

Anyone here dealt with IBM before? Has anyone actually ordered flowers through them?!

Look, I get that, but I honestly thought I could pick out anything. There’s stuff—like certain flowers, for example—that isn't strictly on the official wedding checklist, but I’d definitely be buying them for the big day!

I don't know if I'm just completely out of the loop here or if things have shifted recently. Everywhere I look, people are talking about how they source all their supplies from Ira, but then I actually show up there and find out they won't sell to me as an individual? Apparently, you need a business license or a corporate account just to buy anything.

Adam Alvarez5 said:Aha... personally, I’m leaning towards Holy Cross as the best pick. We’re currently over in San Francisco, though, so I’m not entirely sure how much of a trek that would be from here. That said, Amigos Podstrana looks pretty incredible in all the photos they post online... I’m just sitting here wondering if anyone actually has firsthand experience with them? Has anyone been there lately?

I've been to parties at both Holy Cross and Amigos!

Holy Cross: The hall is massive and honestly perfect. The food was easily the best I've had, even if the menu wasn't exactly traditional. Staff was awesome, too. It’s a bit of a trek, but there's lodging right there in Holy Cross—we stayed overnight and it was great.

As for Amigos, it's alright. The space is way, way, WAY smaller than Holy Cross and feels kind of dark. Food's fine, service is decent.

My only real worry is that the bands might flake on me—they might decide it's too much of a grind to pull gigs both Friday and Saturday.. Is that actually a realistic concern? 😢

Man, a Friday party is always a win!!!

James Brown46 said:Wait, which room in Fabula was the party in? I think it was there too, but I wasn't exactly thrilled with the upstairs hall.

The rooms are definitely a bit weird, but every time I turn around, someone’s raving about them!

Kevin Jones39 said:Thanks, thanks... honestly, I’ve just heard people saying they're good, but since they're probably the new kids on the block, they might not be fully polished yet.

Yeah, I heard the same thing... my godmother actually picked them up for her party... hahahaha😉
