So, I guess that’s it—no more old posts. Has anything changed regarding this lately? I always looked at those threads as my own little library of useful info that I could dive into whenever I needed. Is it really all gone now? Does this mean we're looking at a cycle where everything gets wiped every few months and we just start from scratch? I have to admit, I'm feeling a little bummed out about it.
I’m looking for some advice regarding two elderly gentlemen, ages 86 and 80. They’re still quite mobile—one actually heads out for a stroll every single day, while the other goes out a bit less frequently. We've reached a point where we need a woman to come by about 3 or 4 times a week for maybe 2 to 3 hours at a time. The main tasks would be prepping lunch, tidying up the house, making beds, and just providing a little company. Even though they can manage their own hygiene and stay on top of their medications, they're definitely at an age where they need someone keeping an eye on things. We actually have someone in mind already, but we aren't quite sure what a fair hourly rate would be for this kind of help. I’d love to hear about your experiences—what are typical rates like for these kinds of services?
