Ethan Wilson94 said:Anyone have any idea what the general price range is at Stephanie? I heard their most expensive gown is $1667 for a first-time rental—not sure if that's actually true. Is $1667 way too much for a wedding dress?
I checked with another boutique today, and the starting price for a brand-new gown from the latest collection was $1667. Of course, that climbs much higher depending on the specific dress—and keep in mind, we're talking about rentals here.🤷
So, I’m finally back from the trade show. I actually won a bouquet worth $167 😁 in the charity raffle, which was nice, but honestly? I’m beyond frustrated. It turns out the advertisement wasn't even for the Stephanie bridal salon in Indianapolis—Taylor Kelly2's ad was definitely not for them. They weren't even exhibitors! I had my heart set on one of their dresses and was dying to check their pricing, but apparently, I'll have to settle for the massive discount I found at a salon in Dakota instead. If the dresses at Stephanie end up being too pricey, that's my backup plan. After binge-watching enough TV shows, I’ve started questioning why anyone would even bother with the "new collection" anyway; last year's show featured the exact same styles. Actually, if I recall correctly, there were way more vendors present last year than this time around. And as for the jewelry? There weren't any local jewelers from Indianapolis, just Argentum, which happens to carry gold wedding bands in one of its branches.
How disappointing. I was really banking on finding some decent jewelry stores, especially since we're planning to buy rings at the end of the month, and we're heading out 😢 Ugh, I’m eyeing one specific bridal shop, Stephanie Atelier, but I bet their prices are sky-high just because it's a new collection. Honestly, I don't have that kind of wedding budget lying around—if nothing else works out, I'll just order everything online and call it a day. 😁
Thanks, ladies. I’m heading out tomorrow to track down that paperwork and check out those spots you mentioned. Since I don't have any other business in NYC and I haven't the slightest clue where anything is located, I guess I'll just have to shell out some serious cash for it.🤷
I could use some advice on where to pick up invitation cardstock here in Indianapolis—you know, all those fancy folders and stuff. I haven't lived in the States long enough to know where everything is located. So far, I’ve checked out Hobby Lobby over in the county area and some shops on Main Street, but they're pretty overpriced. Does anyone know if Target carries anything decent? Thanks in advance!
I’ll drop this here: Jordie’s boutique over at Portانا in Indianapolis is running a 50% discount on men's suits. If any grooms out there are looking—well, I certainly wasn't interested, but there it is.🙂
Also, a quick heads-up for the ladies looking for those test tube wedding invitation holders—I spotted a 6-pack available at Kik in the same mall.$3.00 .
I just got back from a stroll through downtown Indianapolis, and I couldn't help but peek into a few boutiques—though I didn't go in, since I was out with my partner and wanted to be polite.🙂 The wedding dresses were absolutely stunning, especially the ones at Isabelle and Stephanie.😍
silverskipper19 said:Yeah, I saw them and they're nice, though I guess I'd probably simplify the whole look—cut out all the extra fluff and just go with big, fresh roses instead... 😂 But hey, I suppose the decor really just depends on what the couple wants. 🙂
I haven't been to that boutique yet.
😁 What you're really saying is that she should just ask them everything; for instance, I told them I didn't want lilies because I can't stand that flower—roses are clearly the way to go.🙂👍
silverskipper19 said:jadeskipper85, honestly I hadn't even thought of that... Even though we've already put down a deposit, we’re meeting with her in November to go over all the specifics.. 🙂 But from what I gather, Ana Stefanic is actually opening a shop that specializes specifically in wedding decor, so it might actually be worth reaching out to her!! Thanks! 😍
It should be great since she's handling the venue decor too, so everything can tie together perfectly—and I’m pretty picky about flowers. I’d honestly die if I ended up with a wilted bouquet.. 🙂
Found it: Jasmin Bridal Salon at the Fairgrounds, rental prices are around 700-$1000.🙂
Yeah, she mentioned she's opening a shop too, but I've already locked in her services for the decor. I'm just waiting to see how everything shakes out at the church before I give her the final headcount for everything. You can check out her work and photos on Facebook. Have you been there, or have any of the girls here checked them out? What's the quality of their dresses like? I might just swing by to take a look.🙂
So, I was driving into Warsaw today and spotted this massive billboard right by the traffic light near the Walmart—you know, on the right side if you're coming in from Columbus. It said wedding dresses starting at $233, but I couldn't make out the name of the shop or even where they’re located. I was moving too fast to actually read it. Does anyone living in the area or commuting through know which place they're advertising? I'll be passing that way again on Thursday, but honestly, the curiosity is killing me already.🙂
Hey, silverskipper19, my wedding party is actually sharing the same hall in July. I’ve already coordinated all the floral and decor details with the venue coordinator; she’s handling the standard decor included in my package, though I’ll be paying extra for the bouquets and boutonnieres. She's also taking care of the cake arrangement. The only thing we’re DIY-ing is decorating the getaway car. She sources the flowers herself—honestly, I’m not being overly picky about the blooms, but I really liked the roses and daisies she was working with. Did you happen to ask her about the flower selection?
Taylor Kelly2 said:I can’t quite recall if I’ve posted this here already... but I’m looking for some live music. Specifically, I need guys who play the fiddle or maybe even some folk instruments? The idea is they’d play about three sets—just enough so people could really get into the spirit and dance a few rounds of line dancing. 😍
Butterfly00, I’ll probably be looking for the same thing, though I don't have specific soloists in mind—just a band that'll handle the playing.🙂)) oopsie daisy
Girls, I did a little bit of shopping today. There's a sale happening over at Macy's—plenty of shoes and sandals, especially silver ones. They have some white options too, though not many. Prices are ranging from 70 to $67🙂 .
Does anyone know where I can pick up those water beads—you know, those little gel balls that swell up when you soak them and look great in vases for decor😁?
I'm looking around Memphis, Nashville, or if I really have to, maybe even Indianapolis . Thanks!
They used to carry them at the local hardware store in Dallas, or you could just order them from a design studio online in whatever color you want.
Ethan Wilson94 said:I'm looking for some halls near Indianapolis—specifically in those smaller towns that aren't too far from the city. I tried searching online, but everything just points back to Indy or some suburban town, and if you look toward the Finger Lakes, there are barely three options to choose from.
Oh, and I need space for about 180 people. If anyone knows any spots, throw some prices and honest reviews my way. Thanks 🙂
You should check out Salomón in a Small town; they hold up to 230 guests. My wedding is actually being held there. You can find them on Facebook to see photos—they can email you their price list directly. They offer everything from budget-friendly options to... well, let's just say you can pick whatever fits your needs, from the menu to extras. They even partner with bands and photographers, so you can customize the whole package. I ended up getting the catering, the next-day brunch, decor, light show, cakes, bouquets, and boutonnieres from them—basically everything except the band. The woman running the show is incredibly helpful; she answers every question and goes out of her way to accommodate you. Even the meat is their own—a relative runs a local butchery. From what I've heard, everyone loves it, so I'm just waiting for my turn next year.😁 Do I really need to mention it's quite close to the city? 🙂
electriccyclist89 said:...I ended up booking them for a year out.👍>
My partner and I actually agreed on one thing: their pricing and quality are spot on. We're planning to head their way too—if you don't mind me asking, when exactly are you going?😉
Jesse Morgan73 said:Back in June of last year, I went ahead and booked a room at the Green Roof venue over in Des Moines. I put down a deposit $1667, but honestly, that’s pretty much the extent of the paperwork I’ve signed so far. Now I'm sitting here wondering if they're going to try and charge me for seating based on their current, lower rates, or if they'll stick to the original prices they quoted me—especially since we never actually signed anything specifying the agreed-upon cost. To make matters more confusing, I noticed they've updated their menus too; everything seems to be shifting constantly. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of situation before?
Fresh update: A wedding at Green Roof was just canceled recently. They had everything settled last year, including paying for linens, but since many halls are offering free linens now, the bride didn't have to pay a dime for them regardless of what the initial agreement said. They got them for free.
Has anyone here actually had a session with Franov? If you have any intel on his rates, could you shoot me a DM? His photography is absolutely stunning!
