Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
casualhawk16, what I actually laid eyes on wasn't even their official branch; the shop is called Vigus, but practically everything inside is sourced from a solid partner—it’s all under their own private label... it's located right behind the supermarket, quite literally. If you step out of the supermarket and cross the street, you'll hit the local newspaper office! Once you exit the supermarket and make it to the other side, Vigus is just there to the right, and they have those "Everything for Weddings" signs plastered everywhere!!!

Moni, that shop tucked behind the supermarket isn't exactly some tiny boutique; it’s called Vigus, and they actually have an online presence too. They carry quite a selection on paper, though if you're looking for embossed or pearlescent finishes, you won't find them there... 😢 That said, they have just about everything you could need for a wedding, much like a high-end retailer you might find in Chicago—most of their inventory actually comes from one of those top-tier suppliers anyway. 😁

Greetings, everyone!
Just wanted to drop a quick heads-up regarding that famous Arizona Corridor: THEY ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS! I actually went there yesterday... 🤣
cosmicnomad22, would you be a dear and give me a more detailed description of where that little shop near the Superstore is located? I’m trying to avoid wandering aimlessly around town tomorrow. 😁
Also, I’m going to attempt to track down the Golden Hand... I really ought to get that thank-you note paperwork sorted out tomorrow...
Oh, and cosmicnomad22, there's this woman in a town near Indianapolis who rents out covers—her name is Stella— and then there's Grafoart— http://www.pozivnice.org/index.php?o...d=59&Itemid=70 (I picked those up at a wedding expo) 😉

Chris Anderson4, I’m heading back to Indianapolis next week to deal with the whole wedding dress saga again, so I might finally swing by that "little boutique" we talked about. I already wasted my time checking out Hobby Art, and honestly, it was a complete bust... nothing. I have my heart set on something white with a textured, embossed feel, but it’s like they don't even exist anywhere. 🤷I did stumble upon some pearly ones over in Des Moines, so if my dream dress remains a myth, I suppose I'll just have to settle for those!

🦋 ladies, whereabouts in Des Moines? 🤷
--just to set the record straight right now, I’ll be designing the thank-you notes myself, but I am definitely buying the invitations!--- (please don't make me go back and edit my last post)

Hey everyone, quick question—whereabouts in Indianapolis can I track down some high-quality cardstock for thank-you notes? I’m heading into town tomorrow and want to knock this out while I'm there, especially since I've decided to DIY the actual invitations myself... thanks a million! 🙂

Hopefully they actually get around to painting it! If they don't, my partner and I will be stuck whitewashing the entire place just a week before the wedding 😂 I was honestly already considering picking up some white drop cloths to cover the walls myself... 😢

she’s probably just looking for a salad..... 😢 I suppose I'll have to dig something up...

Hi there!
I’m bringing a little bit of that Midwest charm to the mix... I’ve realized that getting professional thank-you cards printed is getting surprisingly pricey (since I’m insisting on that ultra-minimalist look—just crisp black ink on pure white paper, and they’re charging me $1.50/piece for it), so I think I’ll just print them myself at home after I pick up some high-quality cardstock. However, I do have one nagging question floating around my head—does anyone happen to know where I might be able to rent some round tables out here in the Midwest? I checked with the folks over in Indianapolis, and they told me they don't have any available... 🤷
On a side note, the banquet hall at the Park Hotel in Indianapolis is, frankly, an absolute eyesore. One wall is a garish red, another is this dark wood brown, and then there's this peach-colored one that really completes the disaster. But, the manager did promise me he’d repaint everything white, so perhaps there’s a glimmer of hope for the aesthetic! 😂

Hey there!
Quick question for those in the know (so I don't have to spend my afternoon endlessly scrolling through this forum again)—does anyone happen to know of a decent print shop in Indianapolis or maybe somewhere near Columbus? Ideally, I’d love to find something closer to home, though I suspect that might be asking too much... I'm just looking for basic printing services, as I plan on adding all the decorative touches myself later on.

Hey, ironseal17! Up in Indianapolis, everyone seems to be raving about that photographer's work—I actually know a girl who used them for her video, and she was absolutely thrilled with the results. Honestly, even people from NYC and the surrounding areas wouldn't mind making the trek out to the Midwest just to work with them, provided you can actually track down decent lodging nearby! You might want to dig through the other threads on photographers and videographers for more intel. Also, there’s this one guy based out of Columbus; my photos from him were perfectly fine—nothing mind-blowing, but he’s reliable and won't break the bank. It's photographer Joe, and I actually snagged a discount from them $167 at that bridal expo, so if you (or anyone else reading this!) could use a deal, just shoot me a private message and I'll pass it along. Here is their link http://www.foto-joe.com I hope that helps point you in the right direction at least. Best,

Oh, absolutely, this offer is fantastic; it works out to be about three times cheaper than what I’d find in the Midwest...🙄 So, tell me, where on earth is your wedding party hiding? 😍

Oh, really? That sounds absolutely wonderful! Staying at the Ritz-Carlton would honestly be the most convenient option for us, especially since we need to accommodate some used equipment, so having everything centralized there just makes sense. I’m planning to head over in March to check out the ballroom and finalize all the logistics; fingers crossed the space is still up to par, though I haven't actually set foot in that hall for nearly a decade!

Hey there!
I figured I’d pop in here too, though I wasn't quite sure where this question would fit best—maybe among the Midwest crowd? 😉 Does anyone happen to know if any bridal boutiques in Indianapolis carry Elie Saab gowns? I was wondering if anyone out there on a wedding hunt has spotted any...?? If the selection is pretty slim, I might just have to wander around the shops in New York City instead... 🙄 I’m just absolutely obsessed with her designs...😍 On a side note, I actually moved my wedding guests from the coast over to the suburbs near Indianapolis; it's significantly more budget-friendly that way...
