Does anyone know any affordable places to stay in Indianapolis?

From what I can tell about how these bridal boutiques operate, they all pretty much carry the exact same dresses. They just shuffle them from one shop to another depending on who walks through the door, I guess. Like, when I wanted to try on a specific style from a catalog, I had to wait forever because they had to have it shipped in from a different location. It wasn't even there. So... yeah. I don't really see what the big difference would be between the dresses themselves.🤷>

Has anyone been dealing with Studio 54 over in Indianapolis lately? Specifically that area near Springfield heading toward Chester?

I think I saw some page on Facebook for a tent rental company based right out of Indianapolis.

Is there anyone else out there? Anyone at all?

I suppose there's actually plenty of options in Indianapolis. I haven't given it much thought yet, but honestly, I probably won't even be able to decide, so I'll just let the photographer handle it. 😛
I don't know, what kind of shots are you going for? There are tons of parks in Indianapolis if you want nature, or you've got the Mississippi River, the old airfield... I think everything is covered. Downtown is great for photos, too, or maybe some abandoned building or open fields... I'd say just talk to the photographer, tell them roughly what you're thinking, and they'll probably know exactly where to find it. 🙂

My band usually pulls in about 8,000 with the backing group.

I caught them at a wedding recently and they absolutely crushed it—especially during the cake cutting and when the newlyweds, best man, and bridesmaids all join in for a song. They really know how to crank up the energy. Honestly, though, it all comes down to what kind of vibe you two settle on...

That's good to hear, because we actually already picked them 😍

Hey, does anyone happen to know where I can rent a small pop-up tent around Indianapolis? I need one for my backyard, but ideally something with a floor included. If you know any leads, let me know 😁

Maria Ramirez4 said:Great vibe, friendly staff, delicious food, clean restrooms, and plenty of parking. My only gripe is the floor space. They claim the hall fits 500 people, but I’ve been to weddings with just over 400 where it felt like a packed subway car—especially once everyone hit the dance floor.

My vote goes to Elvis Presley. Guaranteed good times. 🙂

Best Buy carries all sorts of small bottles and caps.

It wouldn't hurt to scroll back through a few pages once in a while. It’ll save us all from hearing the same thing over and over again. 😉

I've heard mixed things about Vigor. One wedding guest said they played this weird mashup of country, rock, and folk—completely missed the vibe, leaving her totally bummed. On the flip side, someone else mentioned the musicians are solid and the lead singer, Roth, is a blast to watch.

I've heard great things about P&G studio when it comes to their photography, but word is their wedding videos are a complete disaster. Definitely do your homework before booking them.

I've heard nothing but good things about both of them, actually 😉
Like how Roth is a real entertainer and the crew at P&M is awesome.

So, when's the big wedding? And how far in advance did you actually get on the list? 🤣

About $50, I think you can find her on Facebook, so maybe just shoot her a message there

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Any experiences or reviews you can share?

She did my makeup before, and I’m honestly thinking about booking her again for my wedding.🙂

Maria Ramirez4 said:My godmother picked some up—they’re decent. Nothing groundbreaking or exclusive, but the cardstock has a nice, high-quality sheen to it. They let you pick whichever ones you want; I think you can grab up to 100.

My guy only picked up some pants there for an event, and honestly, the quality was solid. They had plenty of options, too. But their suits? Pretty old-school. They aren’t really cut for skinny guys—no slim fits at all—so we couldn't find anything that worked. We ended up grabbing what we needed at Galileo instead, and we're damn happy with them. 😍

There's a jewelry shop right across from Peter Pan, near Pleroo—it’s tucked away in that little walkway (kill me now, I can't recall the name). Honestly, if you can make it over to VK, go there instead; the prices are much better. As for the shop inside IKEA, I've only heard bad things. A few people mentioned their rings started peeling, revealing they weren't even gold underneath, just cheap metal plated to look the part. It might last a lifetime for some, but I wouldn't risk my money on stuff like that. 🙄

I decided to grab some too, but I kind of want to add my own little touch to them... so I'll probably end up "customizing" them once I figure out what I want to do, I guess.🤷
Maria Ramirez4 said:Helen's makeup, Maria Simosic ex Zmaic (I know because they're both on my Facebook).

The Gaul, those small boutique spots like Silver, Ariston, Waldinger, Danube, and Millennium, the Ball over on El Paso Street right across from the brewery, and Prehrana on Vinkovci—they serve killer food. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. 😉

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

You can find them on Facebook under Helena make up, assuming we're talking about the same Helen. And then there's Mary—I don't know her last name, honestly—but you should be able to find her through Helen's profile.

ironseal17 said:I honestly can't figure out who keeps booking this girl for makeup jobs. Is there something going on between her and Noah? Is he promoting her because they're together, or does she just think he’s such a great photographer that she’s constantly chasing him down for lessons since her own makeup skills are a disaster? Look at what she did—and clearly, it wasn't her first time. When she was supposed to come do my cousin's makeup in Savannah, she just went completely MIA. She wouldn't even pick up the phone. Eventually, some other girl showed up late, sent by her, claiming Victoria was stuck at the hospital with her mother. That might have been excusable if Victoria hadn't actually been in Indianapolis at that exact same time doing makeup for an acquaintance of ours! It's also true what someone mentioned earlier about her charging more for trial runs than what was originally agreed upon. Some people just lack any sense of integrity, regardless of whether they claim to be a "top-tier" stylist, photographer, or nuclear physicist... If you need a reliable, kind, and honest makeup artist in Columbus, I highly recommend Helen. Best, I

I really like how Helen does makeup, and Mary is great too 🙂 They're both super nice and easy to work with.

I was kind of thinking about it... I mostly just have silver anyway, so I don't know. I guess I'm just wondering how long a silver wedding band would actually last before it wears down, assuming I don't just lose it or something. 😁)

ruggedsailor said:heh... I know I'll be wearing mine, but the real question is whether my man can actually keep it on his finger for more than 24 hours... otherwise, God help his wallet...🙂

Truth be told, I've been wondering about that too. 🤣

silentpanther83 said:So, I spent some time today browsing through wedding bands, and honestly, it really just comes down to what kind of weight you're looking for. It’s a bit like choosing a car; you want something that feels substantial but doesn't feel like a brick on your finger. I popped into Tiffany & Co., and they had some beautiful styles around $2667 and one specifically near $2000... though those were quite chunky and heavy-set. Then I swung by Zales, where they had options for about $35,000, but they weren't nearly as thick. I also checked out Pano, and they seemed to be running some discounts... oh, and I stopped by Emmi, which felt like the best value overall; their thicker bands go for about $11667, and they have plenty of women's styles with zirconias. It all really hinges on how much zirconia you pack in there, since that drives the price up. Plus, you can usually negotiate almost anywhere—like if you want something a bit slimmer but with a different pattern, they can often make it happen.

Thanks.

Man, I can already see what kind of circus this is going to be 🙂 That much money, and I'm definitely one of those people who constantly loses jewelry 😂
