It’s been ages since I last built my own rig, so I’m a bit out of the loop regarding current prices and what actually makes sense to buy...

For a mid-range gaming PC, is it better to hunt for deals, grab a pre-built, or just put one together myself...

Any specific components you guys recommend, and where should I look?
What’s considered the sweet spot right now?

I'm building this for my nephew. It doesn't need an SSD specifically, but I want that perfect balance of price and performance so he's set for a few years...
He won't be playing in 4K or anything crazy like that...

As for hardware, I just need the tower itself. Peripherals will be handled later....
