Lost in space

The bottom line is this: what’s the absolute worst-case scenario? You actually get lost. So what? You’ve got a phone—call a friend. There are people passing by—ask them. Just ask. And ask again. It's not like the sky is going to cave in on you 😁
I get that it’s a specific kind of irrational fear. But you've gotta face that stuff head-on, and this is the perfect chance to do it 🙂
You’re so busy panicking about getting lost that you can’t even see the street right in front of your face. It's pointless.
Try to actually pay attention to the details (those landmarks and hills mentioned are solid cues)
If you need to head down, go down. If you need to head up, go up 👍 Forget about the maze of streets and all that nonsense.
Sounds stupid, but it’s true. You can't really lose
When you're in tight spots—look at storefronts, clothing shops, newsstands. Open your eyes, engage that visual memory, and the fear disappears.
I don't know Italian 😳
The thing is, I have to transfer in a few different places 👎 so how is a friend even supposed to help me if I call her? 😕
Besides the transfers (and the fear of hopping on the wrong bus), I still have to figure everything else out—like, I arrive in a random city at 2 AM, and there aren't any buses to her town until around 9 AM. Where am I supposed to stay until that bus shows up? 😢 I'll be terrified sitting alone at a bus station in the middle of the night! 👎
And then there's navigating her city once I finally get there...
Honestly, I feel like just giving up on the whole thing...
