Lost in space

Honestly, my sense of direction is easily the worst on the planet. I find myself getting lost at least twice a week, even when I’m just wandering through the neighborhood I’ve lived in for decades...
It started out as a joke everyone laughed at, but now it’s just frustrating, and I’m starting to feel pretty incompetent about it.
And don't even get me started on my trips to Chicago; I go there so often I should be able to navigate it in my sleep, yet every single time I arrive, it feels like I’m stepping into a foreign country for the very first time...
I wish it were something you could actually train, but my spatial awareness is so fundamentally broken that it’s becoming genuinely concerning...
