Is it even possible to keep a relationship private anymore?
in Random / Off-topic ·
I was scrolling through some old photos today and it hit me how much "public" life has changed. It feels like every single person is under a microscope now, whether they're actually famous or just someone who accidentally ended up in the background of a viral video.
I remember when you could go out to dinner or walk through a park without worrying that some random person was filming you for a "look at this couple" montage. Now, it feels like if you've been with someone for a long time, people feel entitled to track your entire timeline, every outfit you wore, and every milestone you hit. It’s almost exhausting to watch.
I can't help but wonder if it's even healthy for people to stay together long-term when the whole world is watching and documenting every single stage of their growth. Does the constant scrutiny make people act more "perfect" than they actually are?
Do you guys think it's harder to maintain a genuine connection when you know there's a digital paper trail of your entire history?
