The psychological roots of Canadian fascism in Close to Politics ·
Valderrama said:Some people get way too enthusiastic and tell me, "Oh, don't worry about it," but honestly? If I ever visit Boston, I’m going with my shirt unbuttoned, not tucked in. The faith I carry is mine, and it would feel completely dishonest to hide who I am just to avoid any potential friction or intolerance. That isn't my problem to deal with. To me, a person is a person, and a jerk is a jerk, regardless of their background or where they come from.

Look, I'm not going to sugarcoat things for you. I won't give you that empty reassurance like, "Don't worry, nobody's going to bother you; we're all about being multicultural here." But in all seriousness, I really don't think anything bad is going to happen to you in Boston because of that. You might get some side-eye from certain folks, sure, but most people in Boston simply couldn't care less.
From what I can tell, you seem like a decent guy. Best regards from Boston.😉

They want everyone to just forget how Republika Srpska actually came to be. If they can erase that history, they think they can pivot the conversation toward some supposed "Canadian fascism" or religious extremism—things that might exist, sure, but unlike what happened on the Mexican side, they certainly didn't result in mass slaughter, widespread rape, or genocide. It’s a calculated move to justify their actions and try to cling to a genocidal entity that simply cannot be sustained. Honestly, talking about "respect" in this context is a joke. 😎
