THE SONG OF BROTHER SUN

Almighty, all-powerful, and good God,
to You alone belong all thanks, glory, honor, and every blessing.
Only You, the Most High, are worthy,
and no mere mortal is deserving enough to even claim them.
May all of creation, my God, sing Your praises,
including our brother the sun,
for he is the light of day and brings us sight.
He is beautiful, flashing with such immense radiance.
In him, O Most High, Your image is reflected.
Let my God be praised
by brother moon and the sisters of the stars,
to whom You granted their brilliance, beauty, and their place in the heavens.
Let my God be praised,
by brother wind and the air through clear skies and heavy clouds, at all times,
with which You sustain all Your creatures.
Let my God be praised by sister water,
so necessary, so humble, so precious, and so pure.
Let my God be praised by sister fire,
which illuminates the darkness of night,
so lovely and cheerful, yet so steady and strong.
Let my God be praised by our mother Earth,
who nourishes and supports us,
yielding countless fruits,
and a tapestry of colorful flowers and grasses.
Let my God be praised
by those who offer forgiveness out of love for You,
those who endure weakness and suffering.
Blessed are those who persist in peace,
for You, Most High, will crown them.
Let my God be praised by our sister physical death,
from whom no one can escape.
Woe to those who pass away in grievous sin!
Blessed are those who find themselves within Your holy will,
for a second death shall not harm them.
Praise my God and exalt Him;
give thanks and serve Him in your humility!

Too clinical. Just memorized stuff... such a waste. You can do better.

Writing like this? You're building a wall against the soul and sealing off the heart... it can be better. It definitely can be better.

🙂

Humans aren't just made of hearts—we're driven by much more complex stuff than that.
How is hate supposed to win?
When it's the heart that actually sustains us in the first place. 🙂 😁 🙂

That is honestly one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.

ambereagle642 said:while there's someone out there willing to carry it, it's definitely going to be too heavy and massive!
the whole point is self-delusion, not trying to control or direct things.
just forget about yourself and suddenly you've got the muscles of Hercules, hahaha😁

and the poet's job is just to sing songs, hahaha....it's only when you try to turn the singing of those little verses into some kind of universal law that you run into problems... some kind of rebellion or whatever.

'indifference' is actually bliss... you just don't realize it yet.

singing songs is really just a specific way of avoiding loneliness and emptiness, which is naturally what you are... but we can talk about that later😁

Songs aren't anything more than the soul singing its heart out. Open up a little; stop clinging to that indifference.
What hurts Gannon the most is how we all recoil from his gentle touch.
It will pay off for you professionally, 100%.
Take my word for it.

ambereagle642 said:So where is this "deep connection" of yours now?
If you were actually who you claim to be—if things were constant instead of this whole cycle of being something and then not being it...
You’re just latching onto certain outward expressions, basically reducing your entire identity to passing emotional impulses and calling them your true nature... look, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, just enjoy it your own way! But don't try to sell it to me as some ultimate, absolute truth...

How is this supposed to connect me to your little "deep feeling"? It’s just another idea built on the assumption that things can be separated or that there's some distinct part of us all standing alone... basically, I have zero interest in these "new" ideas that are actually ancient... so why don't you tell me something original for once, something you haven't already heard from everyone else?! 🙄

You're placing far too much weight on my shoulders.
"...If you truly were who you claim to be—which, let's face it, always is what it is—then you wouldn't..."
Fortunately, my heart is capable of grasping it, if only for a fleeting moment.
Gannon reflects itself through everything and everyone you encounter...
Blessed is the soul who can even catch a mere hint of that.
Those are the moments I live for.
I have nothing "new" to tell you.

Though, perhaps I do;
...you see, for me, every ancient idea or attempt to "portray" or witness what I've described is a source of endless inspiration.
I never tire of reading and contemplating poetry written from the heart.
Even a poem I've read a hundred times over still inspires me in a way that feels entirely fresh and unrepeatable.
Every new one stirs me anew, even if the "stirring" itself is always the same.
Anyone who gifts me such a thing is a brother or sister to me through Gannon.
I honestly pity your indifference toward it.
How painful it must be to abandon your world once you think you've "read" it.

I am not judging your agitation regarding what I am writing.

ambereagle642 said:Sentimental one-sidedness isn't some movement for "those with open hearts"!

Furthermore; the compassion of "those with open hearts" (you know, those supposedly enlightened beings, purely as a conceptual idea) is actually the realization that nobody needs compassion at all! — well... as for being "wowed," that was already covered by my previous point.

The "right path" is nothing more than an idea! The right path is actually limitation and a lack of freedom.
And as for the "mindless chatter"; that's a perfectly valid and practical tool used to tear down these kinds of half-baked ideas.

If you actually enjoy their poetic nonsense (their little bowl of soup), then fine, whatever... go ahead and indulge while you can... but it won't last long, because as you can see, someone is already back to shitting in the soup again, hehehe...🙄 😁

And who exactly is talking about sentimentality?
What does the Heart have to do with being sentimental?
One might say quite simply: it is a natural state—one that transcends mere sentimentality.
The Gannon that is difficult to speak of—where words fail you in that very moment...
The Gannon that fills you and connects you to everything, my confused friend.

Ashik threw out a few lines that hint at this somewhat (poetry is merely an attempt to portrait the Gannon).

P.S. I'm not being sarcastic; I truly wish you nothing but the best.

I couldn't have asked for a better response,
There is hope as long as someone can articulate so clearly that we shouldn't be passing judgment on anyone!
Who are we to judge, anyway?
Just remember those times when you were the one being judged.
Does it even make a difference to the ganuće...

Laura Johnson4, you've truly made my day! The bright blue sky I'm glancing at right now feels like it's transforming into something much greater...

Whenever you wander over to other spirituality forums online, you’re hit with such a massive wave of nonsense and sheer stupidity that it actually leaves you stunned. It’s shocking how little people truly grasp the things they claim to be manifesting.
There are maybe a handful of threads worth actually remembering or spending time on.
It honestly breaks my heart that such a tiny fraction of those visiting "spirituality" sites feels any urge to share their own lived experiences—those moments inspired by a spontaneous awe for this magnificent world surrounding us. The fact that so few people have anything meaningful to contribute speaks volumes.

Empty hearts, all babbling about astral planes, projections, and chakras...
I feel like I’m standing in a room full of blind old women, all shouting at once, arguing over whose definition of "color and shape" is more accurate.
The most pathetic part of the whole thing is how they all claim "experience" as their authority, tossing advice at one another, warning about dangers, and adopting these mystical pseudonyms...
If I had to pick the most fitting name for that cacophony, it would be: "The Forum of Expert Supines: Stupid and Stupider."

My heart aches—honestly, it really does.

Peter Flores67 said:There’s this old idea about two wolves fighting inside a person's soul.
One side is pure love and the other is just straight-up hate.

So, which one actually comes out on top?

The one you keep feeding!

I couldn't agree more!

God doesn't judge us; through our free will, we either drift away or step toward Him.
He gave us that freedom; it is His very reflection within us.
Our free will is what makes us similar to Him—made "in His image and likeness."
We are the ones who crucify a God who is in love with humanity (through our free will) simply by retreating from His gentle touch.
His smiling face is mirrored in the heart. The heart is like a mother’s smile, overflowing with understanding and the pure joy that we exist. What mother could ever fail to love her child, no matter who they are? It is ganuće how everything is forgiven; in Him, all malice dissolves, loses its power, and through that melting—that burning in the fire of love—finds its ultimate purpose.
Our innate malice trivializes the world around us, but the ganuće that fills the Heart breathes life into every "little thing," turning existence into a magnificent experience;

When in the crimson dawns
Or in the clear mornings
I wander
Through flourishing fields
Where a young breeze sways the heavy stalks
Of high yellow wheat,
I suddenly stop;
And look!
My heart, out of sheer joy, beats loudly
Like a Zlatan sat srce.
(d. Tadijanović)

That joy I feel, running down the street like a boy playing in his coat...
(N. Author)

Narrow-mindedness, captivated by itself, sees only grain and dew-covered grass. But an Awakened Heart... Oh, an Awakened Heart is so much more than that... It beats like a Zlatan sat srce.

The heart finds its fulfillment on the «cross» because, through the suffering of malice, it burns bright, illuminated by forgiveness.
The heart doesn't care about your past; to a pure heart, everyone is dear and beloved.

The heart has surrendered itself by its own choice; anyone who understands what I mean will surrender in that same way.

That is the kind of heart I love.

P.S. Though, I wouldn't call the one who fills me with ganuće a wolf.

Brian Foster3 said:🙂 I get what you're saying.
But who—or what exactly—is doing the nailing?

I honestly think the question itself is framed incorrectly; it needs a total overhaul to make sense.

Let’s play a little game, just the two of us.
We'll call it;
“A little from me, a little from you”
I’ll go first, then it’s your turn.
Like this;

Try to step into the shoes of the very source of all creation.
I know I'm asking for a lot, but that's the nature of the beast here.
Now, give it your best shot: try to answer the question—why?

While you’re busy pondering and trying to crack the code, I’ll give you the full answer as to who is doing the nailing;

Every single one of us is holding a nail. We nail things to the “cross” through our own malice—you, through your narrow-mindedness and petty grievances, and me, through my arrogance and envy; or perhaps by a frenzied mob, thirsty for excitement, intoxicated by the scent of blood.
... ”stand with us on the tank and we will charge uphill, unstoppable; beneath our treads, pigs will squeal while the hot blast from the vents melts our boots. We’ll fire at the rooftops where bad actors set their ambushes, lighting fires here and there... (T. Bajsić)”

The heart finds its fulfillment on the “cross” because that is how it burns away its own malice.
Whatever the Heart touches will catch fire in sheer ecstasy, whether it be good or evil.
Only when every trace of spite and wickedness has been burned away without a remainder does it finally make sense... when, in the moment of greatest triumph, they gaze upon the open heart, smiling.
The Heart doesn't care about your past; to a pure Heart, everyone is dear and beloved.
The Heart is the pure face of God who loves, a smiling face head-over-heels in love.
Anyone touched by the ganuće knows this is the absolute truth.
That is simply how the Heart is... who cares otherwise?

PS... even if it’s a complete coincidence and this probably won't mean anything to you—maybe you'll just smirk at what I'm writing—it is quite interesting exactly when you decided to ask that question.

steeleagle13 said:Don't go overboard... if you think helping people means crying more, you're thinking about giving too much.😉

P.S. You don't have to feel sorry for someone just to help them.😉

I don't sit around weeping for anyone, my friend. I don't walk around pitying the people in my life.
My heart isn't feeling particularly "soft" today, nor are those around me some group of helpless victims waiting on my charity.
If it weren't for me, how on earth would they manage to survive?
The heart isn't some non-profit organization where you just stay quiet and do the work.
To truly have a heart means touching the world around us through the ganuće.
When you touch the world that way, everyone you encounter becomes your kin; you experience every person as a brother or a sister, a father or a mother. There is no room for pity there—only the pure joy of giving, without motive or reason, without a paycheck or an expectation of repayment. And besides, if you happen to feel compassion for someone along the way, what is the harm in that?

Every interaction with the people surrounding you, every act of generosity—even the most efficiently organized charity drive—will eventually lose its soul and become nothing more than shallow human emotion if it isn't rooted in what I am saying.
(you actually touched on something similar in a few lines earlier)

And one more thing; it would be a real shame to turn this forum into a game of "Pokémon."
I'll hit you with my "blue flame" card, then you strike back with a devastating "Sleeping Buddha" move, and once I've recovered, Bam! I counter with the power of the "green ram.".....

Just stay calm, guys!

Go ahead, share some inspiration or tell us about your experiences. You have a grateful audience here ready to listen with enthusiasm.

I am a Catholic, yet also a Muslim lover, and yet here we are, tuned into the same frequency... sharing something meaningful.

boldnomad59 said:A true seeker doesn't go overboard when they tell you that you're a seeker too!
It’s not just something you think about—it’s something you feel in your soul. It's like a lost traveler finally finding the path home.

As Rumi once said:

Love is understood through the heart's own sighs.
But this isn't an illness, not like any physical ailment you'd find at a hospital.
The root of this "ache" of love is fundamentally different from any other kind of suffering.
Love is actually the instrument used to unlock the Divine Comedy.
Whether it comes from one side or the other, love shows us exactly where we came from and exactly where we are headed.

So, there you have it.
Just look at that. Your old man definitely knows his stuff! 🙂 😍

It is truly miraculous how the ganuće reveals itself so shyly...
Words fail me; the rhymes catch in my throat, and tears fall for no reason at all. How could I ever deserve this?
I am unworthy of such a gentle touch, especially since I neglected my dearest mother while wandering this world—my most precious one, who never asked for anything, yet always nurtured me with her entire being.
Through your rhymes, it feels as though he is telling me he hears me, that he hasn't forgotten me... My dearest!
When I think about how much of the world I have traversed, yet here he is, gentle and smiling, speaking through this banal medium, this ordinary little forum, caught in an indescribable moment that will sustain me for years to come.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, my dear brother Asic.
I have some good news of my own, and the ganuće was mentioned too; I feel compelled to share that with you.

Sacrificing oneself for others without a second thought,

"...there are moments when I am overcome by something so deeply ganuće that tears start streaming down my face for absolutely no reason at all. If you defend that stance—then we are on exactly the same wavelength. Personally, I equate that feeling with the Heart; when it hits me, I’d practically hand over my own clothes to a random passerby on the street just because."

steeleagle13 said:Love implies a fear of "loss." 😉

When it comes to people you don't care about, you don't give a damn if you lose them.

Yeah... it isn't love because of fear, it's fear because of love.

But loving something just because it might be lost? That's nothing but surface-level stuff compared to true love.

If you love someone in a way where you don't feel regret when they're gone, then *that* is real love. 😉 Because what you're losing is your own connection, not the person themselves. 😉 😉

This might sound a bit weird—but honestly, grieving someone is really just grieving yourself.

My dear old cat;
God help whoever ends up under your wing!
God help the child who might eventually depend on you, the elderly parent who has to lean on you in their twilight years, or even the neighbor in crisis living right across the street—when, in their darkest moments, instead of finding support, they get swept away by your cold, relentless "logic."

What was that phrase again? Let me think... ah, yes: "Giving to me and looking after me is all nonsense; I'm at my happiest when I'm left alone."

ambereagle642 said:Look, I don't feel empty just because I've had a huge Thanksgiving dinner, haha... but then again, we both know that anything that gets filled up eventually has to be emptied out too. When it comes to feelings, it's no different, but are you even realizing how fleeting they actually are? Like, how they constantly shift? Everything we're talking about here—or rather, what we're pointing toward—is something that emotions can't even touch, they don't even graze it...

So first things first, you need to ask yourself one simple question: WHO AM I??? Once you do that, then maybe you'll see what's actually waiting for you! 😁

That emptiness isn't where inspiration lives; there's no creative spark in it.

ambereagle642 said:I can't believe I'm even sitting here typing this out, but honestly, someone has to say it... because apparently, nobody else in this entire country has the guts to call out this absolute nonsense when they see it happening right in front of their faces! It’s like we’re all just collectively deciding to ignore common sense and pretend everything is perfectly fine while the whole system just grinds to a halt... it’s infuriating, really, if you actually take a second to think about it instead of just blindly following whatever latest trend is being shoved down our throats by people who wouldn't know hard work if it hit them in the face! And don't even get me started on what slydriver17 was saying earlier, because that was just a complete waste of breath and frankly, a little insulting to anyone with half a brain cell left...

What exactly are you looking for from a SEARCHER... just say it already! 😁

Whenever I am overwhelmed by emotion—when those intense ganuće sweep through me—I don't feel empty. It’s actually quite the opposite; I feel completely full. That sense of emptiness only exists before and after the wave hits. I find it difficult to accept the notion that there is nothing left to find.
Is it perhaps just a poor heart with nothing left to fill?

Truly experiencing things is like constantly poking at the surface of the water (even if there is a reason for doing so😕 ), yet the water simply levels itself out again. It’s like someone punching me in the face and then complaining about the bruise. It is a raw fact. Our entire visible existence is plastered over with advertisements. When you peel them off, you just discover the layer they were stuck to. And that layer is merely a foundation for something else... and all this supposed wisdom😬
As a historical figure who shaped an entire era, Jesus, or rather Christ later on, represented the necessary balance required by the religious communities of that time. To a man who has achieved true unity, it does not matter how the masses reflect upon him. He might, perhaps, hold a flicker of hope regarding how many souls he might lead toward the path.

Someone has done a terrible disservice to my friend by framing it that way;
Just imagine hearing this sentence: "Your father was merely a balance that had to occur so the circumstances of your birth could be realized."
I truly hope your father isn't lurking on these forums!
Because if he were—his heart would simply shatter from the grief.
That’s precisely the point: if you view your own father as nothing more than a "balance," what kind of heart are you actually operating with?

Do you know why people take their own lives? It’s because they feel worthless; they feel like they are just some cosmic "balance" within the vast machinery of the world around them.
This is where you and I differ. I understand that feeling, whereas you clearly do not.

slydriver17 said:There isn't much more to explain. It is quite fascinating when you consider that it is the only organ in the human body that produces its own sound. It beats. Now, we won't get sidetracked by discussing stomach growls while you're hungry, but the awakening is, hopefully, as clear as the sound itself. It is always there, pulse-steady, yet whether I actually perceive it depends entirely on myself. Therein lies the paradox: I must silence everything else just to hear it. Something like that, anyway.😍

When I ask what the Heart means to you and how you awaken it, you don't need to jump in with an answer right away—just as a courtesy. I'm not looking for a debate here. I think you're alright. Just sit with it, chew on the thought, and if you feel like there's something worth sharing, then write it out.

slydriver17 said:Look, the psychological implication of that comparison is obvious to me; I’m just saying there are far better ways to put it. Where else is a child going to go to bother when they’re trying to sleep peacefully? Some mothers are dealing with postpartum issues and might overreact, but fine—a mother is a mother, and I get the point you're trying to make. It’s not that I don't follow you, but what are you actually getting at here? What happened to you that makes this concept of love haunt you so much?🙄 Yeah, love is the ultimate purpose of everything, it's everywhere, but because of that very same love, people commit the most heinous, despicable acts when it's absent or suppressed. So, what is love, really?😲 😬 😕

You keep bringing up this "secret," while I keep bringing up Mother. You seem completely fascinated by the concept of a mystery, and I can see that, okay. But for me, the whole notion of a "secret" feels distant; it's hard for me to relate to it. In that regard, I find the concept of Mother much more grounded.
I’d much rather say, "my dear mother," than "my dear secret."
If I've made myself clear enough.
