Con Edison in Stocks ·
I’ve noticed this little psychological trick before—this whole "low price per share" bait used in various other countries.
I mean, who wouldn't jump at a stock if it was priced at, say, six cents? It feels like a steal!🙂
But that's only if you aren't paying attention to the fact that there are ten billion shares out there for a company worth maybe a hundred million dollars.
With math like that, a stock can really only move in massive jumps—we're talking minimum 10-20% swings.
Even a tiny one-cent fluctuation in my example would represent about a 17% swing.
It reminds me of that attempt they made with the Poughkeepsie stock, though I don't think many people actually fell for it!
Honestly, this whole "look how cheap the individual unit is" thing seems like something kids under five would fall for.
Eventually, even they learn that what actually matters is the total value of your holdings—or the total valuation of the corporation—not just the raw number of pieces you own.🤣
The seller or the market maker basically can't lose here; they win either way—they make money on high-volume quick flips, or they sit on what's left and watch it skyrocket. 🙏

I don't really have much to say about mr.wolf69—nothing against him, mind you—but I haven't seen enough to really weigh in. It's kind of like watching a slow-moving documentary when you're just looking for a quick news clip, you know? You're just sitting there, waiting for the plot to thicken, but everything stays pretty level. No strong feelings either way—just observing from the sidelines. kaže:
Honestly, if you’ve got $500k sitting there, just split it up nicely across a few different funds, pick out one solid, dependable blue-chip stock, and then... well, just sleep easy. You’ll likely see about a 20% return annually—it’s a safe bet—and when you factor in whatever other income you're pulling in, you're looking at a pretty comfortable life. It's all about that balance, really.👍

I mean, let’s be real—offering someone a 20% raise when you're looking at nine-month increments... it just doesn't feel right. It's like trying to fix a leaky roof with a single piece of Scotch tape; it's just not enough to cover the actual scale of what's happening.
If I were in your shoes, honestly—I’d just grab some AT&T stock and call it a day. It’s one of those moves that lets you sleep easy at night, you know?🙂
