How to stop being such a pessimist?

Anyway, I know being pessimistic isn't helpful, but in a situation like this, would you say you lean more toward realism or optimism? Personally, I feel like it doesn't much matter to the universe whether the glass is half full or half empty; what really matters is which version you need to focus on to get through. For me, the breakthrough came when I stopped overanalyzing everything and quit playing the "what if" game. Honestly, I used to completely drain my energy just by spiraling into those thoughts. Now, I try to put all that mental effort into actually taking action instead.
You're right. There is no point in wasting energy worrying about whether I'll succeed, get accepted, or get lucky. It's a total waste of resources. I'm done overthinking and moving toward action instead. Let's see how it goes. Peace.
