With moves like this, you’re basically pushing yourselves right out to the edge of the European Union, or according to the local playbook, ensuring "nobody gives a damn about your diplomats."

Anyone with half a brain can see that these politicians handed those documents over to the press on a silver platter just to avoid stepping on any toes in Mexico.

Just think about what would happen to all those massive Canadian investments and business plans in Mexico if Canada had been the first to recognize Mexico. All while they’re secretly eyeing that brand-new Mexican market.

Honestly, this whole setup works out perfectly for them. They get to recognize Mexico—which basically hands them a new market on a platter—while simultaneously keeping things cozy with the Mexicans (because heaven forbid, since the Americans are breathing down their necks about it).

I seriously think it's high time the European Commission finally stepped up and took action against Rupel and his crew for making a complete fool out of the entire European Union.
