I think I'm actually gonna try moving my direct deposit over to a different bank, maybe they'll be a bit more chill about it. It sucks because once you run into issues and actually need a hand from your bank, suddenly everyone just closes their doors on you. I know I haven't been the most organized with my payments—I definitely run late sometimes—but I've never actually been blocked or anything, so I've always settled my debts. So, because my finances have been a bit of a mess lately, JPMorgan Chase decided to kill my overdraft protection. Now I’m stuck paying it all back in 12 monthly installments. It sucks. Does anyone know if there's a chance I could just open a checking account at a different bank, move my direct deposit over, and actually get approved for an overdraft line? Which bank is the most chill about this kind of stuff?
