Applying for a loan while living abroad

Has anyone here dealt with loans from the UK before, specifically "State Street"? I sent over a copy of my ID and they told me the loan was basically approved. Then they gave me this code that I’m supposed to send along with my account number to a different email address of theirs just to get the funds transferred. They didn't ask for any upfront fees or anything. Anyone run into this?
