Ugh, I just can't, I've been totally broke since I lost my job. And now I really need it because I actually landed a seasonal gig overseas! I need the cash for travel and to cover my first month before my first paycheck hits... but I guess I'll find some other way to make it work 🙂

I have a quick question—has anyone here dealt with any US-based companies that offer loans or lines of credit?
Since I need about $1000 pretty urgently, I stumbled upon some guy online using a Hopkinson chain, and he’s asking for a $50 processing fee upfront. I’m honestly not sure about this... I guess I'd much rather borrow from someone right here in the States than deal with some random person overseas 🙂, but things are just so urgent that I don't know what to do.
What do you guys think? Is it worth sending over those 50 bucks?
