Can spirituality exist without God?

Can spirituality truly exist without God, regardless of how one defines Him? Is it possible to be spiritual without being a believer? Furthermore, if you feel you "know" something for certain, how do you distinguish actual knowledge from simply having faith in what you know?
The way faith and God are being lumped together here has left me a little confused...

If we were to set aside faith entirely—even one's own private beliefs—could we still speak of spirituality? What would a spiritual path look like without faith? Is it even possible for such a path to exist?
...but now I see the focus is really on faith. I suppose it's faith in God, or perhaps something above us all.
For me, I experience my spirituality as this ongoing process of exploring how I perceive myself and everything surrounding me as an extension of my own being. It’s about expanding consciousness and awareness. My deepest desire is to truly be aware of everything. I want to eventually create something entirely new and different, then maybe play around with those ideas and study them from every possible angle and perspective.
So, what purpose does faith serve in all this? Maybe the concept of God makes sense from certain perspectives, I guess. But I don't want to simply "believe." In fact, I don't believe. I am just trying to expand my awareness and gradually embrace those things that someone else might interpret as God.
But I’m not moving toward some distant God. Instead, I’m moving toward everything—toward other people, toward different forms of consciousness, toward the mind, and toward infinity. I'm searching for all of that within myself.
That’s why I don't feel the need to believe. I just sense, and I experience.
