Need help with my hard drive

I accidentally snapped the gold contact pins that connect the hard drive to the motherboard on my laptop. Now I’m stuck wondering if there's any way to salvage the data from the drive or if it's even possible. Is it feasible to harvest just the connector assembly from a junked drive? One technician told me the part can't be soldered back together. Everything else on the disk seems perfectly fine; the issue is strictly limited to those broken connection points.
