Everything you need for a California wedding in Weddings ·
Jose Miller70 said:That sounds awesome, just shoot me a DM with the number. Thanks, ladies! 🙏

I was actually hunting for some bands recently, so I’ve got a decent list of numbers saved. If you're still looking, just holler and I'll shoot them over to you in a private message. 😁

The guys from 021 left the strongest impression on me, and I'd picked up some decent reviews, too. Honestly, it was a bit of a "gut feeling" situation.🙂 On Netflix, everyone tends to sound pretty much the same, so making a definitive judgment based solely on recordings is incredibly difficult.
I sincerely hope I haven't steered you wrong. Though, I suspect I haven't exactly made your decision any easier. 🤷

We ended up picking 021 too. 😁 Checked out their Netflix, read some good stuff on the forums, and honestly, the guys are just easy to talk to. I was actually at their show back in May, so I can tell you firsthand how it went. 😉
Alex Carter3 said:I’ve heard rumors about crossing the border with instruments—apparently, there’s an extra fee involved, though I assume it’s the band picking up the tab rather than you personally.😉

They’ve gotta pay for an ATA Carnet—it’s that document that lists every single piece of gear they’re hauling across the border. It costs about 2% of the equipment's total value, and get this: it’s not even a one-time fee. Naturally, that just bumps up the overall price tag too. I asked a buddy of mine who travels constantly for work with all this gear, and he says it’s actually not that bad. Here’s the lowdown on how it works. 😁
Austin Sanchez9 said:Is that an extra $500 requested by 021? It is possible, as they might be crossing state lines; they have to transport instruments, and with 5 or 6 members, they would likely need two cars.🤷

What is their total price?

The 021 guys didn't ask for an extra 500. They just said we'd work something out once they figure out the travel costs, which is fine by me. We're meeting up today to hammer out the details. Anyway, the price for the four of them is 1600 euros.
Like I already said, this isn't about the money. It’s not like I’m trying to cheap out on the band. It's about the vibe. If you don't click with someone over the phone, how are you supposed to trust them to play all night at a massive party?
Austin Sanchez9 said:But what about when things get complicated?

That sounds like a great choice for the LA band.👍 They actually played at my high school graduation.

man, I'm actually getting close to just booking them. The party is in June, first weekend of the fifth month. But let's talk about bands traveling out of state. Obviously, it’s gonna cost more—we expected that from the jump—but when someone tells me they’re charging an extra 500 bucks just because they're crossing state lines? That feels like a total rip-off. Don't get me wrong, I even called a band up in Washington, D.C., and they were totally reasonable: "Yeah, we charge more for travel, here's how we calculate it." In the end, the travel costs for a band coming from Washington, D.C. ended up being way lower than these guys from Miami. I originally thought about having a living legend play at the party—absolute madness, right?—but then we realized my aunts and uncles probably wouldn't vibe with their setlist. So, we settled on 021 😉

I find Mattel to be quite dreadful👎

but I suppose everyone has different tastes...

We ended up deciding on the band from Los Angeles. When you watch bands on DVD, the differences are mostly just tiny nuances—at least from what I've seen—but those LA guys? Their chemistry was great. They actually seemed like normal people. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind later. I am a Libra, after all.😉

Still debating on Barbie, though. They just didn't really click with us right away. Anyone ever heard of the band 021? Might be our best bet next time...😕

But man, Pink Panther is top-tier... I was at a wedding recently where they played, and even without a female vocalist, those guys absolutely crushed it! They weren't just standing there all night either; they kept the energy pumping and the vibe totally electric. I'm not sure how they sound with a female singer, but even just the guys? Total madness! 👍😍

Thanks a ton for the tip. I’m supposed to track them down today to pick up a DVD of some performance so I can hear them for myself. But hey, when someone vouches for them like this, that's already a massive plus. 👍

Hey ladies, I finally decided to jump into this forum because I could use some advice on planning a party, and apparently, this is the spot to get the real scoop. Does anyone here know what Disney is actually like? Thinking about booking them for my bash, so I’m curious if you’ve dealt with them before. Or maybe the Pink Panther? Thanks for the help 🙂
