And I haven't actually grabbed any shots of the flowers yet, mostly because nobody seems to care enough to snap those little details... 🙄
As for MPK... they're located over at 148 Main Street, right by Pasadena.
Totally forgot to mention: we're talking about the whole stretch from Newport Beach all the way out to Naperville!!
I wasn't quite sure where this post belonged, but since our wedding was out in California, I figured I'd drop it here...
Our big day was July 3rd, 2010. Honestly, the whole thing flew by way too fast, but it was just stunning. I didn't even dream it would turn out this beautiful...
I wanted to share some firsthand details with you all...
Flowers—Flower Studio-Women's Skier
The florist did an incredible job with the hall decor (we had 16 tables plus ours), my bouquet, three little bridesmaid bouquets, 7 boutonnieres, 2 large petal baskets, and the car decor, all for just $767!!!!
Cake—Based on the photos, they made a 5-tier cake with Jaffa, Raffaello, Japanese Wind, Ice Wind, and Tiramisu flavors. To be honest, we were so busy we actually forgot to taste it, but everyone kept telling us how amazing it was. It cost $317.
Venue—The grand Phoenix ballroom. This is where we got the most compliments. Everything was flawless, from the service to the food! We couldn't be happier. The classic menu was $32 per person.
Band—Yellow Cab band. The guys really held it down, and people had a blast.
Adria Photography—They were totally low-key all night. People were telling me the photographer was practically lying on the floor just to get the shot, but we didn't even notice. We're still waiting on the photos, so I can't say for sure how they'll look yet.
Dress—Mio Brnaz "Mila." The dress fit me like a glove $833 for a first-time wear. And that included the dress itself, the veil, a wrap, hair jewelry, 3 bridesmaid dresses, the ring pillow (which I've kept), and the baskets.
Makeup—Makeup Artist-Ana Benzon was simply PERFECT!!!
Hair—A gift from my longtime stylist. It held up all night long, and I was so happy with it.
Suit—Suit-Hugo Boss, shirt from Brioni, tie and cufflinks from America Airlines, and shoes from Walmart, all for about $2000
Rings—Reic Jewelry, we were super satisfied there too
Invitations, thank you cards, and boutonnieres—We made these ourselves
Desserts and other treats—Family and friends brought them in
Church in K. Sucurac—My husband's uncle performed the mass, a relative of mine who is a pro singer sang for us, and the church decor was $100
I'm not sure if I missed anything else, and sorry for the long rambling post, but I really hope this helps some of you with your planning.
You could always just go with photography instead of doing full video production.
I can shoot you the photographer's number via DM if you want.
Check out PepsiCo Studios. Their photography is solid and they don't break the bank, though I ended up passing on them because the video style just wasn't really my vibe.
Thomas Sanchez532 said:It's right near St. Jude, you know, those little churches... we actually went a bit crazy trying to track it down ourselves🙄
Just sent you a DM. 😉
Does anyone happen to know where the Visa bakery is actually located? I’ve been trying to track it down, but I just can't seem to find it...
You should check out International Paper over in Malibu. It’s a bit of a trek to get there, but honestly, the prices are solid. You're looking at about $0.83 for envelopes. Plus, they have just about any kind of paper you could ever dream up.
Can anyone give me the lowdown on how the Lolita dance studios and the step by step schools actually operate? 🙂🙂🙂
Can anyone hook me up with some numbers for makeup artists around the San Francisco area? I'm looking for people who actually know what they're doing but won't totally break the bank.
Thanks so much!!
How do they even manage running multiple weddings at once over there? I’ve heard stories about two receptions happening at the exact same time, where you could actually hear the music bleeding from one ballroom right into the next.
Anyway, I’ve never actually been to a wedding in that area myself...
Hey girls, I really need some help here...
I was supposed to be heading to the Phoenix venue, but I just heard some pretty wild stuff about that hall.
Can someone please talk me off the ledge if anyone’s actually been there or knows what's up?
I know someone already brought them up before, but I can't seem to track down the thread right now. Anyway, what's the deal with the group Flash ??😕 😕 😕
Can someone shoot me the number for the Castle folks via DM? Thanks a bunch 🙏 🙏 🙏
It’s not really a group, though. I know about a cappella too. A friend actually brought it up to me the other day, so I was just wondering if anyone else here had ever heard anything about them... 🤷🤷🤷
Has anyone ever heard anything about that group Nostalgia? 😕 😕 😕
Hey, does anyone happen to have the scoop on this Sun restaurant?
Thanks so much, guys!! 😁😁
Hey there!!
It’s my first time posting here, but since my turn has finally come up, I could really use some pointers from you guys...
I've got a huge party coming up this October in San Francisco, and honestly, I’m starting from scratch!! We’re looking at about 300 guests... so if anyone could lend a hand, I'd be so grateful...
Can anyone hook me up with some contact info for local bands, venues, or photographers?? Thanks...
