granitewolf20, we actually had ours printed at the Subiaco FedEx Office—though a friend of ours handled the design work to ensure it was exactly our vision—and the total cost came out to $1.75 per unit, which included their paper, cutting, and scoring. We had them score it with a machine because we didn't want the invitations looking like an accordion 😂—and apparently, every crease adds a bit extra to the bill
.
I am honestly thrilled with how they turned out. They can even handle the design process for you on whatever paper stock you select, though I am not entirely sure what the design fee would be—my husband had his business cards done there and the design portion was only $33, but nothing particularly complex...
.
All things considered, I couldn't be happier—especially since whenever I looked at finished products online, they seemed to cost anywhere from $12 to $14 $5.75... 😲 😲
That felt far too expensive to us, whereas this way, we have truly unique invitations that are precisely what we envisioned 👍

Hello,
I know this topic might have been brought up before—though I can't seem to find it anywhere in the archives...🤷 My partner and I are planning a trip out toward the outskirts of San Francisco in the next few days to pick up some supplies for our wedding invitations, thank-you cards, and boutonnieres. I remember seeing a post mentioning Ira Commerce, but I can't track it down; I also recall someone mentioning another shop... if anyone happens to remember the name, please let me know...

Thank you.😉

We attended last year, and it was a decent experience 👍
Entry and parking were free, which was nice—plus, plenty of local jewelers were handing out discount flyers. There was a huge variety of vendors too: cake designers, confectioners, florists, wedding planners, tailors, photographers... basically everything you could need. They even held a fashion show, though if you don't make it there on time, the visibility of the runway can be a bit tricky 🤣
While the expo at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles was significantly larger this year, we actually found specific items—like certain types of confetti—at the California event last year that weren't available in LA at all. All things considered, I believe it is worth attending 😉

Greetings! 👋
I am looking for someone who has held their wedding ceremony at the St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City—could you please let me know if it is at all possible to bring our own vocal group to perform something other than Ave Maria?
Furthermore, is there any way for me to have an influence over the cathedral's decor? To be perfectly honest, I find the current aesthetic quite dreadful—not to mention the seating, which isn't even properly arranged; they simply place these rather trivial arrangements around the altar (and while I realize taste is subjective, still...)
I have been considering whether I might be able to track down the contact information for couples marrying on the same day—since this is such a close-knit community where everyone seems to know everyone else... 😉—so that we might collectively propose a solution. Perhaps even offer a little incentive to get our way... though, of course, I am merely joking. 🤣🤣

Many thanks indeed. 🙏

There's also a band out of Miami 😉 they came to play for me in September for 1500 US Dollars.

That is correct, Alex Carter3 🙂.
My apologies, ladies—I truly wasn't aware there was another group with that exact same name based out of Miami. 🤷
As for those guys, I don't know anything about them. 😉

Raymond Brooks7 said:I’m certain the top tier doesn't cost that much ☕ and my friend had them back in September... so... 😕 like Jack Murphy7 said, maybe the party was in Indianapolis and they had to drive through Washington, D.C. to get there. 🤷

$7667, even though my husband insists they charged him $27! But they didn't—they played from 8 PM until 8 AM; meanwhile, a year ago they played for one of his relatives (that is where people actually caught on to them) and they definitely paid much less than double!
I have no idea what kind of pricing scale they use—all I can say is that at her place, nobody could ever request a single song—but with them, it happens constantly; they kept playing until 8 in the morning, whereas she usually wraps things up around 3 AM... and in the meantime, they certainly made a name for themselves... so, I truly don't know 🤷, maybe that is why!

Jack Murphy7 said:Give me a break. How could $7667 pay that much? That's 3000 dollars... I know prices went up to 2000, but honestly, I have to ask—did the guy actually pay that much? Maybe the party was held somewhere in Indianapolis or something?
For half that price, you can get a seven-piece folk group to show up with their own travel and lodging covered.

It wasn't in Indianapolis—it was actually a bit closer to Washington, D.C. He also had a small group of musicians—maybe five or six people—perform before the ceremony, plus a choir at the church. Fortunately, they can certainly afford those kinds of extras...🤣

Emily Garcia6 said:Oh, thanks so much! I’m actually planning to call the Brava band again tomorrow just to see if they’re still free. Since I've already booked the church, the venue, and the restaurant, the band is really the last piece of the puzzle for me to finally relax. Half of our guests will be from out of town, so I'm a little nervous that things might turn into a wild party instead of a formal reception. I think I already gave them a heads-up that things might be a little "different," haha!

Welcome! 👋

My sincere recommendation would be to call everyone as soon as possible and get those reservations locked in. For instance—my own wedding was set for September 4th, 2010, and we had already booked our band by October of the previous year. When we tried to reschedule them for the weekend prior just ten days later, they were already fully booked! 🙂
(from Orlando)

As for the Bravo Band, I KNOW they are fantastic, but they are also booked solid for all of September 2010! (They were my personal favorite.)
The First League group is also quite good—though personally, I find them a bit overpriced—but I know they can be very expensive. A friend of mine paid $2,300 $0.00 back in September of this year!! 😲 😲 😲)

Anyway, I hope this provides at least a little bit of assistance. 😉

Yes, we actually reached an agreement to go listen to them perform at a wedding in San Diego this Saturday—just as bystanders, of course—since they are part of the Best Buy group. They assured us there wouldn't be any issues and that nobody would take offense 🤣

I honestly believe it is the only way to judge; while they sound incredible on record, I am more interested in the specific atmosphere they manage to create... 🙂🙂🙂🎉

Jack Miller4 said:The band Best actually played at our private party recently, and I have to say, they were absolutely phenomenal. Their repertoire is incredibly diverse, which gave us so much flexibility—you can basically request whatever you want. We actually worked out a special arrangement regarding their timing; instead of the standard 45-minute sets most bands do, they agreed to play hour-long sets just to accommodate our catering schedule. They even mentioned they wouldn't mind skipping breaks entirely if that helped things run smoother. They kept the energy high by playing all the latest hits, and the atmosphere they created was just perfect. They’ve recently added a new lead singer, Taylor Swift, who is such a surprise—she looks like she could be a young teenager, but her vocal range is absolutely breathtaking 🙂. Honestly, both my guests and I couldn't have been happier with the choice. I highly recommend them! 🙂

Is this actually the same group http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJLTDmGxw0w??
I am somewhat hesitant about hiring someone I haven't heard before—there is always that underlying concern that the original lineup might change, leaving you with a completely different group entirely... 😕

👋

Does anyone here have any firsthand experience with the group from Best Buy? If I am understanding the situation correctly—and I believe I am—they are based out of Chicago... 🤷

Please let me know.
