I know, I know, this question has probably been circling the drain for a hundred years, but I couldn't find it in the old threads fast enough...
So, I'm heading out on a trip in a couple of days and it would totally suck if my period decided to show up right during those 7 days (according to my cycle, it could happen anytime) — and this trip is gonna be super active and adventurous.
Is there any way to push it back without being too aggressive?
Like, some natural remedy?
An old-school grandma trick?
Maybe Reiki?
Literally anything?
Thanks!!
🙏
Interesting topic... pretty sure there's a ton of us out there.
I realized early on that I wanted to dive into two different worlds 🙂 so I actually went for dual degrees (late in my twenties, actually). 🧐
Sometimes one side just totally eclipses the other... 🤷
But honestly, it’s way better than completely burying one passion just to be, you know, "professional" and "dedicated"—those are just buzzwords from others, mostly my mom 🙂, but it's such a classic trap... I tried doing it that way once and ended up in a total backwater situation—but hey, I shook it off just in time!—even if life itself can be a total nightmare, you nasty little Narcissus... ☕
My take? Life isn't meant to be one-dimensional, and we get so caught up in everyone else's opinions, prejudices, and fears that we're terrified to actually chase what we want. 🙂
Listen, if you have passions, forget all the noise and just go for them.
People will always judge you (out of spite, jealousy, fear, or just because they're bored), but whatever... people can be hell. Haha, maybe exaggerating a bit.
Anyway, just embrace the change. Read some Heraclitus and some good poetry—I'd recommend T. S. Eliot, or whoever speaks to you. Grow spiritually, tend to your own inner garden, but don't follow someone else's roadmap (ugh!) or some cheesy new age recipe 🙂 (so cringe!). Just trust your gut and lead with your heart (oh, and read William Blake too) and live your actual life before the vultures circle and pick you clean.
*sigh* 🙂
