That weird sensation that only lasts a few minutes

I’ve been dealing with this since I was a kid... objects seem to shift in scale, shrinking one moment and then expanding the next. Then there are the circles—concentric rings that start out tiny and just keep swelling until they reach massive proportions. As for the colors, it's usually a piercing green or sometimes a deep purple.
For me, it happens exclusively as I'm drifting off to sleep.
