David King72 said:That Las Vegas place is actually top-tier 🙏👍 The food, the service, the vibe—it’s all there, but honestly, how many people are actually walking through those doors?
And I thought we were aiming for 90 to 110 guests? Maybe that's pushing it for a space like that. 🤷 🙂
My fiancée and I are looking at opening an Amigos restaurant up in Malibu... does anyone have any recent intel on that spot? We’re planning to head over there for a meeting in the next few days, so we’d like to be somewhat prepared if anyone has some fresh info. Thanks in advance...

Raymond Brooks7 said:There is a massive gap in both style and price here 😬...but photos last forever...so...I’m pulling for Matić (even if nobody asked for my opinion 🤦), and if you "happen" to connect with him, it’ll be a total home run. He is truly incredible 👍
Well, actually, we *are* asking 😍 thanks for the advice. We also feel like art is permanent and should be one-of-a-kind... 😍 so we finally sent him an email hoping to connect. We spent ages hunting for his address and finally got some replies-->more 🤣 🙏 thanks everyone for the help... you guys have been great, but I'm sure more questions will pop up 😍
Raymond Brooks7 said:I've no clue, but I do have the number for a dance instructor... we opted for private lessons, and honestly, I was pretty happy with them...
I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think they have a dedicated space... p.s. Have you guys made a decision yet?
Matic is probably our top choice, though they're definitely the most expensive. We're just looking at photography right now; we've talked to him about more detailed arrangements, so we'll see how it goes..🤷 😍Studio In is our second option, but their vibe is a bit different.. 😍
Please, I need some help. If you have any recommendations for hair and makeup, just send them over via DM with specific details. I'm based in San Francisco, by the way.🙂🎉🎉
I'm trying to find out if anyone knows a photographer with the last name Morris. I can't recall his first name, but he runs a studio. Apparently, his work leans toward the "provocative" side—and I suspect he might play around with different textures or mediums rather than just sticking to standard prints.
Aaron Patel15 said:Regarding Matic, I didn't find him arrogant or rude. He cracks a lot of jokes, so maybe some people take his sense of humor the wrong way. It really depends on your vibe.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of his style. The editing feels overdone and looks fake. I prefer something more natural and grounded...
As for Lisjak, I haven't used him.
Well, we only heard about the breeder through some online forum... and honestly, waiting at least three months isn't ideal given the price he's asking...👎
I suppose his photos lean more toward an artistic vibe... darker tones and all that...
But if you check out Lisjak's page... those look much more natural... compared to what the two of us were just looking at...
Henry Wood4 said:Matić runs about $2333 just for the session itself... as for Fox News, I've only heard good things, and they offer various packages ranging from $590 to $1,200 depending on how many photos you want... personally, I find them a bit pricey... as for Studio IN, I'm not sure...
Are you certain Matić is "only" $2333? Because we've heard much higher numbers... plus there's supposed to be a massive wait time, like three months... and apparently, he can be pretty arrogant and difficult to deal with...
Fox seems solid too; we checked out his website... and word is he's much easier to talk to and more flexible...
Studio IN is actually quite good... we've heard that from several people... though they aren't exactly cheap either...
Oh, and does anyone here follow the band "Rhythm of the Rain"?
What’s the deal with photographers like Ivica Lisjak, Ivica Matić, or Studio IN? Those are the three names on my radar right now... Any thoughts on their pricing or general vibe?
I've heard rumors about Matić being arrogant and difficult to work with, and apparently, you have to wait three months just to see the shots? Is there any truth to that?

They had us squeezed eleven to a table, which made eating a decent meal pretty much impossible. They served that standard seafood menu, nothing special really—I didn't even try half the things on it, and both my boyfriend and I ended up leaving hungry. The atmosphere was nice enough and the room itself was fine, but overall, it wasn't anything to write home about. I know plenty of venues that are much better...🙂
The food at The Rusty Anchor was actually top-tier for me! My brother had the surf and turf combo and he said it was incredibly good. That’s not just my take either—everyone I've talked to since the party seems to agree...👍
Alex Carter3 said:I’m not sure if something shifted recently, but Gusar used to refuse any crowds under 140 people, yet now he’s claiming he can handle up to 250. I have no idea where he gets that confidence from. 🤷
I guess I’d be willing to pay $1,000 if the place was located up near the north end of Yankee Stadium. 😲
That space is really only meant for maybe 120 people. I mean, if you're planning a decent party... not some chaotic disaster like a crowded nightclub in downtown Chicago where you've got twenty people crammed into every square meter.
Chris Long4 said:The Gusar is top-tier, honestly a solid 5/5. It can hold up to about 140 people, though if you actually pack it that full, a good 20 of them are gonna be squeezed off to the side somewhere...
I actually visited them back in the winter... how is it during the summer months? I haven't really seen how big their patio is. I guess you have to wonder if it's any good for summer wine tastings?👍>
