ambercyclist32 said:Honestly, I think it’s completely pointless to argue over whether a band is "good" or not—it all comes down to personal taste. What hits for me might totally miss for you, and that's exactly why there are so many different bands out there to choose from; you just pick what resonates with you personally.🤷People have been recommending certain groups here because they liked them, but that doesn't mean anyone should feel forced to listen to them or accept them as the absolute gold standard... it's just nonsense.🙄

Look, I’ll give you my own list of bands that I'm tired of hearing about. Is it really such a big deal to just name a band, go check them out, and decide for yourself if they actually click? You need to figure out if they're playing the kind of music you actually want to hear and if they can create the specific vibe you're looking for.🤷..There are a million different factors at play, and everyone is looking for something different. Besides, most of them have websites now, so you can pretty much tell right away if they suit your style and if they're even worth paying to see live.

So, anyway...

-Pink Panther
-Bravo Band
-First League
-Tip Top
-Viva
-Music Band MGM
-Barbary
-Bud Light
-Totem Band
-Volare Band
-Mark and Brane
-Miro Boem
-Jessy Band
-Taxi Band
-Group Best
-Thousand s
-Flash Band
-Duo Vice and Vilma
-Trio Bolero

There you go for starters. I probably forgot a few, so let's see if any of the other girls recommend someone else.

🙏 You basically took the words right out of my mouth. But hey, I’ve been wondering lately—has anyone else here actually gone through the whole wedding process? I’m curious if you had any real-world experiences, good or bad, dealing with wedding planners or agencies. I’m actually thinking about jumping into the deep end and opening up my own planning agency in the near future, so I’d love to hear the truth about how it all works behind the scenes.😁So, I’m really curious to hear what everyone else thinks about this... you know, like, I’d love to get some actual first-hand experiences from you guys regarding what people are paying for these kinds of services lately and all that good stuff!

P.S. If you've had any bad experiences, just shoot me a private message instead, okay? I’d really rather avoid starting up some mindless, endless argument here in the thread!🙂

Jack Murphy7 said:I'm not going to get into the quality of specific acts, but we need to build on this point: a band (minimum five members including drums and bass) is one thing, but anything else—a duo, a trio—is something else entirely... and when I say duo or trio, I'm being generous. By "group," I'm also including those four or five-person outfits—won't name names—that just have two keyboards, a female vocalist, and a guitarist...
The bottom line is: don't just count heads, make sure it's actually a band... because more people means more gear, more rehearsal time, and more logistics. Realistically, a real band should cost at least 50% more than a duo or trio...

It’s the same story with the weddings I work—the DJ side of things... I've been a guest at countless weddings where I was promised a full vocal group, only to be disappointed when two or three guys show up in matching suits and start playing...
I don't have an issue with the music itself, but I do have an issue when people pay for something they aren't actually getting...
Basically, a duo doesn't qualify as a band, and a duo or trio doesn't qualify as a vocal group—not by name, and certainly not by price.

I am totally on board with this.👍...a band is a band, and a duo or trio is something else entirely. But man, there are HUGE 😲differences between a duo and a trio too. Before the wedding season started, I was looking at a Favorite Brands gig in Charleston, where a group called Bud Light was playing. Honestly, folks, they should probably be banned by law...👎.....they sing like they haven't even hit puberty yet. And hey, BRAVO, one band might be a duo and another band like MGM might be a trio, and you actually enjoy listening to them👍. Then there's the whole price factor. Based on everything said here, it's pretty obvious that full bands are roughly twice as expensive as duos or trios. Like my grandma used to always say... the ones with the most butter and cream are the ones who get to spread it! She was a total LEGEND!🙂

I honestly don't even know where to start with this one, but I feel like we really need to dive into it, right? It’s one of those things that just stays on the back of your mind, making you wonder if everyone else is seeing the same patterns or if it's just me overthinking things again. Does anyone else ever get that feeling where you look at the way things are moving lately and just think, "Wait, is this actually happening?" It feels like we're constantly shifting gears without any warning, and sometimes I wonder if there's even a roadmap left for us to follow. Is it just a temporary glitch in the system, or are we looking at a total overhaul of how everything works? I've been sitting here thinking about it for a while now, trying to make sense of all the noise, but it's tough when the ground keeps moving under your feet, isn't it? kaže:
The music selection is honestly pretty mediocre, but the actual performance? Total disaster. I mean, there are so many way better bands playing around San Francisco than this, so you can bet that explains why they’re charging such ridiculous prices!👎
I mean, at the end of the day, isn't it all just a matter of personal taste?🙄Honestly, I am absolutely floored by KOCKA... they are such a breath of fresh air compared to most other groups out there. You know how some bands, like Journey for instance, are huge hits with certain crowds but just don't click for me? They just lack that certain something, that spark, you know what I mean? It’s like they’re missing that soul. And man, once you get into the whole topic of pricing...🤷So, I was just sitting here wondering... does anyone actually have a clue what we're looking at when it comes to the price tag on these things? Like, seriously, how much is this going to set me back?
Sam Reed3 said:We are heading to see them this Friday at a cafe called Vrime (if I recall correctly), so we will see how they perform.

Do you have any other recommendations?

Man, I don't know🤷....you've still got Major League, VIVU, and the TAXI band on the list! They’re probably gonna run a bit more expensive, but honestly, they're all pretty solid!
Sam Reed3 said:Of course, I am just one more young lady🙂 who is in desperate need of some assistance.
The wedding is set for August 28th in Savannah, and aside from the venue at an ExxonMobil facility near the coast, we have nothing else reserved.
I urgently require information regarding bands, catering services, photographers, and so on...

Hey there! So, I might be able to help you out a little when it comes to finding a band... I was actually at a reception just a couple of months ago where The Comedy Store band from Chicago was playing. Honestly, they absolutely blew me away.👍
