I actually used http://www.foto-medo.com/ for my wedding back when I was five months pregnant, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with them. I looked everywhere from Indianapolis to St. Louis before finally settling on VK... As for the price, it really just depends on how big your guest list is.

Yeah, I agree, it looks Superman. Unfortunately, it only comes in white. I’m not sure how you’d go about dyeing plastic; you could probably hack it with some spray paint, but personally, I thought the white was perfect since the roses were blue and orange.

You can just cut off whatever amount you need, and it holds up against the rain just fine.

Rachel Wells3 said:Oh man, that looks absolutely fantastic...🙂) I’m not actually from Stalingrad or anything, but honestly, I feel like those types of films should be stocked in pretty much every agricultural supply store out there. If you don't mind me asking, though—what did you end up paying for the film?

The only thing is, you have to specify white agricultural film
A 3x10m pack usually runs about $13

Yeah, I actually found much better prices over in Hall 15, booth 50.
The guy even gave me his business card; he sells basically everything you could need for a wedding. He’s got connections all across the Midwest—what a character. Honestly, he’s way cheaper than those vendors right by the parking lot.

For those of you struggling to track down a specific shade of ribbon or fabric for your bows, I might suggest browsing the floral department over at Walmart 🙂 I actually managed to stumble upon some exquisite ivory material that is just perfect for crafting bows—it feels almost like lace... It comes in a 50 cm width and costs about $2.00 per meter. 😉

Thanks, sweetie, but I saw it used at a wedding and totally thought it was tulle, not realizing how much cheaper it actually was.

Here is a shot of the tent setup

Rebecca Lopez10 said:I'm curious too—what kind of decorations did you actually make out of it?

Alright ladies, you can pick up that film at Amarillis or over at Schmidt (it's that NYU right across from the Oakland restaurant near the fairgrounds, the agricultural pharmacy one)... Just tell Francis you need the agricultural grade film; some girl ordered eleven packs of it once. I used it to drape over my tent like canopy curtains and wrapped it around the tent poles along with everything else I'd usually use tulle for... It looked stunning. You can basically decorate an entire tent to look like those wedding setups you see in American movies.

Here are some examples so you can see which style you like. As soon as I get the photos back, I'll send over shots of how my actual tent turned out.

Royal is fully booked on my day off...

edit. I just stumbled upon Studio Galah online—has anyone actually been there? It’s a one-stop shop for hair and skin, which would be super convenient since I’m hoping to get myself, my mom, and my maid of honor all sorted at once...

The hair salon at Dahlia's place near the Visa in downtown Stalingrad is great; she can fit you and your whole crew in if necessary. There’s a beauty place right upstairs from her called Luna, and I think you can book ahead, but if you’re really desperate, the girl there will probably squeeze you in.

I am honestly still buzzing from my wedding back on May 28th in the El Paso squad area. It was perfect.
The crew that helped pull this whole thing together was top-tier, so if anyone is looking for recommendations, here is the full breakdown:
makeup- Luna hair salon downtown
hair- Dahlia in the center
bridal-Ines Vinkovci
reception dress-Ines Vinkovci
photo and video-Vinkovci photography
flowers-Vinkovci flowers-fontana florist downtown
decorations, ribbons, bows- We actually DIY'ed most of this. We picked up some ribbon rolls from a Chinese man in Shida (roughly $1.25 per roll—one roll makes about 30 bows; we just looked up "how to make a bow" online and went from there)
tent decor- We used white agricultural sheeting. Honestly, it’s way cheaper than tulle, you can find it in 2.5x10m or 3x10m rolls at packaging stores, and it looks just like tulle if you do it right. Plus, we had 3 people helping us with the decorating.
tent rental- Rented blue-gray tents from Borov
groom's attire- Koridor
guest favors- Little brandy flasks (Bumblebee, Vinkoprom) with homemade custom labels and a gold marker
drinks- Ordered through Grahovac grocery on account
music- Bands from Shida (+ a brass band)
invitations- Homemade. Just orange cardboard from packaging, a paper cutter or scissors, printed text on cardstock + vellum paper + a little ribbon from the Chinese man, and you're done.
Decor ideas and my personal stylist- Tiana, and that's really all there is to it.
A huge thanks to everyone involved; everything turned out absolutely beautiful.

I was actually there just a few days ago. The most expensive dress I saw was $1167 and the cheapest one was around $167
