Could someone please be so kind as to direct me toward where one might find Maggie Sottero wedding gowns for rent in Indianapolis? I would truly appreciate any guidance you could offer. 🙂))))

Does anyone here live near VK or Island? I was wondering if any of you have actually used that NO NAME photo studio over on Island—the one run mostly by a guy named Jasenko... has anyone had any experience with them at all?? 🙂 Thanks

So, when is the big wedding happening??

You really ought to look into Ana Coric... she’s coming back home and her work is simply exquisite. She maintains her own professional site under "Ana Coric Make Up Artist" and has a presence on Facebook as well. I am quite certain I’ll be booking her for myself a year from now... she's truly wonderful.
She actually just opened a full-service salon in Indianapolis recently—it covers hair, cosmetics, and manicures all under one roof. If you find yourself needing her contact information, just send me a private message..

The studio is located right where you'd head if you were driving toward the suburbs; once you cross over the Mississippi, you'll find it on the street immediately to your right, if you catch my drift.

I heard that feminine place was supposed to be good, but I actually went there once and honestly, I wasn't really feeling it. 😢

My regular stylist is all the way in Indianapolis, and I just don't feel like driving out there on a Wednesday. I've got my wedding coming up in three months and I'm low-key freaking out that I won't find anyone or that every single salon will be fully booked by then!

frozenangler87, Studio 54—that specific style is quite good, at least from what I can recall of my own experiences... so, yeah... 😉

neonridge38 said:We haven't actually reached out to him yet to see what his availability is like; my partner is still a bit hesitant to call because of a few things. I'm not quite sure what the venue looks like either, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know. Regarding the rates at Studio 54, a wedding hairstyle for mid-length hair is $73, while makeup is $40. Personally, I love that everything is all in one place and it’s pretty close by, so... 🙂

I see... I actually caught a glimpse of the hall once it was fully renovated, and I must say, it is absolutely stunning. When we went there to put down a deposit, we happened to run into him, which gave me the opportunity to see the space, and truly, it is lovely. Once you get more information, please do reach out; I am eager to coordinate the decorations and make sure everything aligns perfectly with the bouquet, the boutonnieres, and my gown—perhaps after midnight, if I can think clearly enough to ensure nothing feels too rushed... though, in my foolishness, I neglected to ask any questions at the time.🙄
That's what I've heard about the studio as well. Back when I was in high school, I used to frequent Picasso (if you happen to know the place), and the wife of the cafe owner used to work at Studio 54, or perhaps she even owned the salon herself—don't quote me on that, mind you. I remember running into her once at the cafe and having a brief chat about manicures and such, and at the time, the prices seemed a bit steep to me... but now, I'm not entirely sure why I'm even asking. If I can't track down a decent esthetician to come to the house, I'll just head over to Victoria's Secret and handle everything in one go, and that should be that.🙂

neonridge38 said:Honestly, I’m crossing my fingers for some sunshine too. I haven't decided if I'll pick up Jack from Ivankov or someone else for the florist, but I'll be booking my hair appointment at Studio54 in Columbus on August 1st...

Mary, would you happen to know what the pricing looks like over at Studio 54? From what I gather, you've hosted weddings at Elegant before? If you could, please let me know if you have any insight into their color schemes for the hall—specifically things like the napkins and those types of accents. I actually went to scout out the venue about a month ago, and John mentioned they've expanded their palette to five colors, whereas they previously only offered three. Apparently, since they finished the interior redesign, they've introduced two additional colors into the mix...

Anyway, thanks for trying, though.

Did you have some sort of unpleasant encounter with them, or is there another reason? I actually ended up going with them myself, so I'm curious about your take.

nimblebadger57 said:I’m new to this whole scene. We’re planning our wedding for early next year, so I’m hitting you all up for some intel and recommendations
regarding bands and photographers. We aren't looking for budget options—we want a band that actually knows how to play and sounds incredible. We get it; good music is everything when the party is on the line...!!!
We actually attended a wedding recently where the band
that gets mentioned around here was playing, and honestly? It wasn't our vibe at all. I know tastes vary, but there's a baseline for quality, right? So, we’d really appreciate
any and all suggestions...:-)

We’re based out of Indianapolis.

nimblebadger57, my suggestion to you would be The Beach Boys from Indianapolis.

We actually ended up booking The Beach Boys ourselves; we sat down for a meeting last Wednesday, met up with Daria and the band, and they seem like genuinely decent people, so we locked them in. So far, I have nothing but praise. I haven't had the pleasure of hearing them perform live yet, but based on what I’ve been listening to on YouTube—and the tracks the guys sent over—they sound fantastic. Plus, the referrals have been solid so far, which is always a relief. I truly don't think we're making a mistake here.😉

urbanpanther18 said:Finally starting my wedding prep, though I’m feeling the pressure. There are already a ton of bands mentioned on this forum and I still haven't picked one, even though the clock is ticking. I've been scrolling through videos online, but nothing is really hitting the mark... So far, I've seen Sax live (they're awesome) and the Slavonia Band (also great), but Sax feels a bit too modern for us. We’ll have a lot of older guests, so I’m worried they won't vibe with that style. As for the Slavonia Band, they're just way out of our budget—especially since we'd need to hire a second band to go with them. We don't want just traditional folk music; we want a full band plus the folk musicians, but that combo is pricey. Ideally, the band would play everything from rock to classic hits (think old-school legends, not cheesy stuff) and then we'd add the folk players. Anyway, any leads are welcome... thanks!

And when is the big day scheduled? Based on what you’re describing, I might suggest the Bolero Band out of Indianapolis, or perhaps the Viva Box Band, also from Indianapolis... Given your specific requirements, I suspect the Viva Box Band might actually be the better fit for you.🙂

To all my ladies living out in the Midwest, specifically around Des Moines or Indianapolis, I would highly recommend Ana Coric. She is truly fantastic at what she does; I also believe she charges $117 per person for full makeup applications including lashes, and the best part is that she actually comes right to your door. You can find her profile on Facebook under Ana Coric, and she even maintains her own professional website as an artist... I am actually planning on booking her 🙂

Help me out here... I have a bit of a dilemma. I’m currently on the hunt for a wedding band for next year, and I keep hearing nothing but glowing praise for The Beach Boys based out of Indianapolis. Has anyone here actually booked them or crossed paths with them at an event? I’d love to hear any feedback you might have—the good, the bad, and the ugly. So far, my initial outreach to the guys seems perfectly fine, but I value your collective wisdom. 🙂 Thanks so much in advance!

Help needed... I’m looking for some insight... does anyone here have experience with the Amazon band based out of Indianapolis?? I actually know a young singer there named Joseph personally from back when he used to perform with the band Barry and Bolero, and honestly, the guy is just phenomenal—truly one of the kindest souls you'll meet. However, ever since I deactivated my Facebook, I seem to have misplaced his number somewhere in the digital void, and I haven't been able to track him down... Since he joined this current group, our paths haven't crossed, so I was wondering what their vibe is like. I heard a rumor they don't play much folk or country music, which is a relief because that's really not my scene. 🤷 Thanks in advance 😍

Greetings, ladies...
So, here is the thing... I have a bit of a question for the group...
Does anyone here happen to have firsthand experience with the Natalie deli in City? Specifically, the one located right off the highway between VK and Tulsa... I am curious about the quality of their service, their pricing, and whether the space itself is comfortable. Thank you all in advance. 😉👋
