I actually follow their page from Small Town, USA on Facebook, and they just posted about the upcoming fair today. So, I guess it's official then.. Here is exactly what it says:
We are letting everyone who wants to taste our treats know that we will be at the wedding expo in Indianapolis at the Prairies on November 25, 26, and 27. Any newlyweds who pre-book their wedding planners at the fair and choose our cakes and pastries for their reception will receive a special fair discount! We hope to see a huge crowd there, and we aim to make our booth the most popular one again this year! Warm regards to all our fans of our sweets and cakes!
Also, could you tell me everything you picked up while you were in Canada and Canada? I'm heading there soon myself—I want to plan my shopping list now so I don't miss anything important.
Hey ladies, can I still pick up those bottles from Bell if I'm not ordering my alcohol through him?
Also, quick question—how many pastries should I realistically order for 250 guests? Just for the venue reception, not counting what we have at home.
Just a heads-up: the wedding expo in Indianapolis is happening on November 25th, 26th, and 27th. Anyone who shows interest and books their cake and treats from Small Town, USA will get an exclusive expo discount!

Hey, are you based out of Osijek? I assume they charge extra for transportation. Could you let me know what the total came to?
electriccyclist89 said:...I ended up booking them for a year out.👍>
Did you book both photography and video, or just one? And are you planning on getting prints made? I noticed their website mentions a discount on prints if they handle the shooting themselves. Could you give me a quick rundown of what they're like and what the total cost might look like by the end?
Ethan Wilson94 said:Also, I need a hall that can hold about 180 people. If you have any pricing info or personal reviews, please share. Thanks! 🙂
I know there's a venue in a small town nearby that's pretty budget-friendly, but that's about all I know. It's just a quick 10-minute drive from Indianapolis.
casualeagle732 said:The band is Silver Bend, and the photographer is Mark Stevens... you can find both of them on Facebook if you want to take a peek! Also, the lighting setup is all from Target. I’m a huge fan of the photographer—he isn't all creepy and over-the-top like some other guys around town, and his shots are seriously incredible 🙂)))) Honestly, we just grabbed everything from there. Your best bet is to head over to the local planning office; they'll walk you through the whole process professionally, and honestly, they'll know way more than I do 🙂))))
Does anyone know how much that photographer charges and what exactly is included in the package? 🙂

I checked out his work and I'm obsessed—it’s exactly my style, though maybe not yours! But honestly, David is awesome. He's super easy to work with and open to whatever you need.
Actually, Elijah has an identical package for $1333. The photos we saw from them look good and the staff seems friendly. However, I don't personally know anyone they've shot for, so I don't have real feedback. I did see one negative review on a forum and heard something similar from an acquaintance... so now I'm a little worried.
Did you happen to see David's work at his studio or through someone you know?
Sarah Nelson6 said:John Doe shot our wedding photos... Honestly, we were pretty crushed. He didn't follow a single thing we talked about, even though we literally wrote everything down on paper so there wouldn't be any confusion... Then, when we swung by three months later to get the DVDs fixed up, he just gave us this line about how he'd already cleared out all the footage... and blah blah blah. That was our run-in with him, anyway. Maybe someone else had a better time...
Oh boy, we already paid his deposit... Is there any way to get that money back if we decide to cancel, or is it standard practice for them to just keep it?
Also, does anyone have a photographer recommendation that won't break the bank?
Ronald Jones11 said:Look, the price of tequila is going to be the same everywhere, including Mexico. It's not worth making the trip just for that. But everything else? Everything else is half the price. We already bought all the rest of our party supplies over there (vodka, bitters, whatever else you need). Even the sodas are worth grabbing down there—at least some of them. You’re definitely going to come out ahead if you shop there.
Hey everyone, where have you been picking up beer for the party?? I heard it was cheapest in Mexico, but my boyfriend just got back from a trip there and says the price of tequila is basically the same as here in the States. Since tequila is the most expensive part of my budget, that’s a big deal for me...
Harold Hayes9 said:ANA7777, maybe their rates vary depending on the date, right? I’m getting married on October 15th. We originally really wanted Elijah—he comes highly recommended by basically everyone I know. My fiancé is from Savannah, so all his people swear by Elijah... but he’s already booked for our date. Since Elijah trained under Brzica, we ended up putting a deposit down with Brzica instead... so fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly! Honestly, I don't think we could've gone wrong with either Elijah or Brzica, but if I had gone with Zoom, I would've totally messed up...🙂
That’s actually a relief to hear. Every person I asked hadn't heard of Elijah; they all just kept pushing Zoom. We liked Elijah much better since people seem genuinely invested in his work compared to Zoom, and they explained everything so clearly. I don't get married until June next year, but we already locked in the Classic venue, a full band, and Elijah for photography. If anyone wants to know about pricing, just ask.... It's still a bit early to plan the rest, but I'm slowly gathering useful info here on the forum 🙂
Harold Hayes9 said:MidwestGirl1234, $1.25 the price is basically the same whether you go with Zoom or Speedy....just the same 🙂
I'm not sure if he works solo or what, but I heard you can still try to track him down....basically, another couple tried to book him for the exact same date as my wedding. They hadn't put down a deposit yet, but since I had already paid mine, I was like: "Hey, look, I've got the deposit ready, they haven't, can I just reserve him?" And they actually called me back in the afternoon to say they were giving him to the other couple anyway. I just played it cool, thanked them, and wished them the best with their business... especially since I had already rushed over to Speedy to drop off my deposit earlier... didn't want to end up without a photographer! Elijah was booked up for that date, he's $1.25.
??? We put a deposit down for Elijah last week and he is also $1333, by the way, does anyone have experience working with Elijah?
bluemoose7 said:Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some replacement caps for those little Gatorade bottles? And does anyone have an idea what they usually go for...😕
Here’s what’s being said on page 155 of the forum:
We went with those rubber plugs that have the little caps on them. They’re much better because they don't fray like the others. We picked them up at Staples. You can find all kinds of bottle stoppers down at the main market. If you head toward the end of the indoor section near the main Post Office, there’s a woman selling various bottles—some are even hand-painted. She has a huge selection of decorative caps and stoppers too.
Has anyone here worked with Elijah's photography and video services out of Indianapolis?
The staff is really friendly and they walked me through everything in great detail. I’m mostly just wondering about the actual quality of their work. From what I've seen so far, it looks fine—I'm not looking for anything over-the-top, just something decent—but I haven't had a chance to flip through any of their full albums yet. Has anyone else used them before? Let me know! 🙂
