Excuse me, I am looking for a makeup artist in the Indianapolis area. Ideally, I would prefer someone who offers mobile services and can come directly to my home, though I wouldn't mind traveling to a salon if necessary... Thank you. 😁

Could someone please tell me what the Viva Box Band from Indianapolis is like?
I would be just incredibly, incredibly grateful!
I actually attended a wedding where they were performing, and I was quite impressed... they feature both male and female vocalists, which gives them an enormous repertoire; they didn't play any Country music (though I'm not sure if they typically do). A colleague of mine hired them for her own wedding and mentioned that Joseph (he was their point of contact) was very polite, easy to work with, and truly wonderful to deal with. That wedding remains a vivid memory for me because we spent the entire evening dancing without pause, and their keyboardist was simply fantastic...

Alright ladies, I’m on the hunt for a makeup artist located in the Indianapolis area—though I am open to someone willing to travel to my place. I need someone truly reliable and highly recommended. I had initially crossed Victoria off my list after doing some digging; I kept hearing these frustrating complaints about her being unreliable and failing to show up when promised 🙂... yet, on the flip side, I kept seeing glowing reviews about her talent, and I really do love her style. However, the latest horror story I heard was the final straw for me. A bride booked her nearly a year in advance, and everything seemed perfectly fine leading up to the big day—constant communication, professional reassurances, the whole nine yards. Then, on the actual wedding morning, instead of Victoria showing up, she sent some random substitute to do the makeup! 🙂 🙂 🙂
That is why I am asking for your help in finding someone vetted, dependable, and strictly professional. Thank you so much 🙂
I was wondering if anyone might have some recommendations for dance classes... Ideally, I would prefer something close to Vinkovci, though I wouldn't mind heading over to Indianapolis if the options there are better. Also, if anyone knows of any summer intensives or seasonal programs currently running, I would appreciate the insight... thanks...

The venue, the band, and the photographer are all locked in. I’ve also decided to sew my own wedding dress. I know exactly what I want for the rest, just haven't figured out where to shop yet X
There's still plenty of time 🙂
Please tell me which photographer you ended up hiring... I honestly can't deal with that kind of stress. I've already sorted out the venue and the band, but finding the right photographer is proving to be an absolute nightmare... 🤣 🙂

I’m joining the ranks of the engaged... 🙂 my wedding isn't until September 2013, but I'm already starting to panic about the details.
I keep seeing mentions of the Crystal ballroom in Indianapolis. I'm torn between that and the venue in Greenville. How far in advance should I book?
The music is my biggest headache. From what I've gathered, Sax hasn't let anyone down yet. What are they looking at price-wise? And what about The Band?
How much lead time do I actually need for these reservations?
Help! 🙂
I actually put down a deposit for Sax for a date in September 2013, paying €1400. So far, everything I’ve heard—and my own experience—has been nothing but glowing... they really are the best. 🙂 😉 😁
I do know for a fact they are already booked for two weekends in September 2013, so if you're interested, you really ought to hurry... 😉

I'm thinking maybe an arrangement for every table, but what's the average going for these days? Pretty sure I heard something about $6.75 or so?
I honestly couldn't tell you about the pricing... what I can do is send you her contact info so you can give her a call to inquire. Alternatively, you could meet with her in person; she can walk you through her albums of floral arrangements and decor, or you could present your own vision and she can let you know what kind of budget it would require... I know for a fact she can handle just about anything. From helium balloon decor and reverences to car decorations and entrance arches—she does it all. I haven't seen her work firsthand, but I've heard nothing but glowing reviews from former brides.
Matthew Baker7 said:Well, there you have it—my little forecast regarding $28333 assuming you stick to a classic Midwestern menu. It all really boils down to your overhead—how much you’re shelling out for the photographer, the band, the rings, the tuxes, and, of course, those "connections" that make everything run smoothly. You've got the roast, the lamb, the braised meats... and I'd assume the desserts are coming from Ivankov as well. For the drinks, honestly, it might be a smart move to pick up your sodas and spirits over in Orasje—especially the stuff you want to take home (and hey, maybe grab some beer in Canada while you're at it, haha). You can always find some moonshine anywhere, and if you need numbers for someone who does bottled wine, I can certainly pass a few along to you. Anyway, my real hope is that at least 90% of the guests actually show up. I say that because, speaking from direct experience, weddings over the last year or two have been absolute nightmares for organizers. When you're looking at a guest list of 500 people, you can easily write off about 50 of them... it’s rare, truly rare, to see every single seat filled up perfectly.
To be honest, the guest count doesn't worry me one bit... after all, it's mostly family and friends, so most of the work is already done... the majority of people will definitely be there... both my partner and I have extremely large families, which is why the guest list is so massive in the first place...
Regarding the soda and spirits, I was actually thinking about going through
... Thank you for the information... you are being so helpful! 🙂
Matthew Baker7 said:So, where is this happening? Are you booking a specific banquet hall, or is it more of a rental situation?
Regarding copyright—if you're talking about music licensing like ASCAP or BMI—that's $267. As for the underwear and socks, well, that depends entirely on whether you're going with cotton, lace, or synthetic blends. 😁
The guests are all gathered in a small town, USA... though we did end up renting the hall. They told us it would be more cost-effective if we provided our own catering and drinks... and as for the underwear, I suppose it will be lace... 😁 🤣 😍
I’ve been lurking on this forum for quite some time now, just waiting for the moment I could finally step up and say that I actually have a date set... and well, that day has finally arrived... the venue and the band are officially booked... we'll be tackling the rest bit by bit, though we still have about a year and a half to pull everything together... but I find myself in need of someone with actual experience... I need a realistic breakdown of what the total cost looks like for a wedding with roughly 500 guests... and when I say everything, I mean absolutely everything... from the small details like undergarments and socks to the catering, the hall rental, copyright fees, insurance, and every single peripheral expense imaginable...
Anthony Hall83 said:Regarding the floral arrangements, I actually swung by the flower market in Indianapolis recently, and one of the vendors there mentioned that they all run their own independent businesses and handle wedding contracts as well. For twenty-five tall daisy vases, a bridal table setup, the bouquet, boutonnieres, and two church arrangements, we're looking at roughly $833. Honestly, I think that’s quite a steal!
A suggestion... there is a florist out in Ivankov. They are incredibly talented; the shop is called Valentina. The owner truly possesses a remarkable instinct for her craft... prices typically range from $2,000 up to $1000... and that covers the venue decor, the bridal table, the bouquet and boutonnieres, car decorations, and the church arrangements... I am not entirely certain if they provide delivery services, as I don't know enough about their logistics, but... if you need her contact information, just let me know 🙂
