I reached out to The Beatles too, but their quote came through in some weird code, so I asked them to just write it out clearly. 😁

Anyway, has anyone here worked with The Doors before? I’m still waiting to hear back from Chicago. So far, only The Beatles and Babylon have replied (Babylon quoted $1,500).
I think The Beatles are running a promotion through mid-October where you can get 20% off the standard rate if you book a certain amount. Once I get a clear answer from them, I'll pass it along in case anyone wants to book them, though the fluctuating exchange rates make me hesitate.

Best,

The Beatles are $1,400.

I haven't had a chance to scroll through all the previous posts yet, so please forgive me if someone has already touched on this topic... anyway, I've got a wedding coming up next year and we've actually gone ahead and booked Elijah, that photo and video team out of Des Moines. Has anyone here worked with them before? From what we've seen online and in their portfolio, their work looks really solid, and honestly, the pricing feels pretty fair too. We’re still totally undecided on the band situation, though. We were originally hoping to book Vox, but it turns out they're already booked up for our date. For us, the absolute dealbreaker is finding a group that can play absolutely everything, you know? 😉 Does anyone have any good recommendations for us??
thanks

Elijah did the photography for a friend's wedding and the photos turned out pretty good... As for the music, I'd recommend Quattro Band, they play everything.

Kimberly Alvarez8 said:Hey... anyone here actually dealt with an outdoor church wedding before?
Is that even allowed—like, legally speaking? I heard a rumor that priests can pull it off if there are enough religious symbols present, like a cross or something...
We’re thinking about doing our big day outdoors, but so far we've only seen civil ceremonies held outside, so I have no clue what the actual practice is like. 😉

That sounds like a lovely idea, honestly. It would be beautiful, but from what I know, you don't really see that happening in the Midwest. Most priests tend to be against it, and the civil officiants charge quite a bit for outdoor ceremonies.

I am absolutely refusing to give up on finding this style of headpiece, but I'm completely stumped on where to buy, source, or even rent one. Please, if you have any leads, let me know!

Maybe try searching on eBay!

Ethan Wilson94 said:I dropped in the other day. Got greeted by this young, sweet girl without even an appointment. She let me browse on my own terms, then once she caught my vibe, she brought over a huge pile of dresses. Really pleasant. She didn't nag me to pick something specific and wouldn't try to sell me a dress that clearly wasn't my style just to close a deal. Super sweet, and she actually listens to you instead of pushing junk on you like those other boutiques 😁

Look, I didn't pull the trigger on a final dress there, but they seriously have some beautiful pieces. 🙂

I went for the first time this week. Hit up every bridal shop in Indy over two days and honestly? My experience was stellar. All the ladies at every shop were great and really trying. In my opinion, the best service is at Stephanie's. Their gowns are miles ahead of everyone else, but you need to get there early because they won't let you touch any dresses that some other bride has already put a deposit on. Basically, if you grab something from the new collection, you're the first one wearing it, and they guarantee nobody else gets to try it on. I know this firsthand because while I was still debating, the lady called me the next day to ask if she could show that exact dress to another woman booked for the same slot. I didn't end up buying that specific one, but I highly recommend them. The staff even stayed late because I showed up right at closing time to try things on. They’re top-tier. Most gorgeous, most elaborate, most pristine dresses ever—just phenomenal. If I hadn't shown up so late, I would've bought one right then and there. But since they wouldn't let me try the ones already reserved, my options were pretty limited.

Oh, thanks 🙂...but real talk, how early or late is too late to start looking? My wedding is in 14 months, and I'm wondering if it's too soon to start hitting the shops. Also, did the lady at La Sposi or the other boutiques mention what happens if you pick a gown from this year's collection? I assume they'll rent it to others too, so what happens if I come to pick mine up and some girl returned it in bad shape? It feels like a long time to expect them to hold onto a dress just for me...

I've never heard of that tradition before. 🙂

swiftsailor63, I really think they're going to nail this. I've heard nothing but great things about them, and honestly, I've seen firsthand how well they can set the mood..

Hmm, isn't the groom usually the one who picks up the tab for the wedding dress?

Just wanted to jump back in on the conversation about the band... we ended up booking The Beatles because we saw them play at a wedding once and they absolutely blew us away!

Honestly, that works perfectly for me since I'm really looking for lace. But what’s the deal with renting a dress for the first time? Is there an extra fee or something? I spotted this gorgeous piece from a 2012 collection, but I feel like it might be way too early to reserve it—the wedding isn't for another 14 months. Plus, who knows how many times it'll be worn between now and then, or what kind of condition it'll actually be in...

I might have missed this already, but I don't want to scroll through every single thread—could you guys share your experiences with La Sposa in Indianapolis?
