crimsonpuma22 said:Yeah, I’ve heard the buzz about them too, but honestly, it all comes down to personal taste. We listened to everything available online, and in our opinion, the sax band still comes out on top in terms of both sound and performance. They get a lot of praise. Also, regarding what you mentioned about him being missing lately—I think that’s why there’s a formal contract in place. It goes without saying that the catering should be standard since he’s technically on the clock, but a contract really needs to spell out every single detail, from break times down to the smallest thing. If those terms aren't met, the job isn't being done right, and that’s a breach of contract.

And what’s the word on photography and video? Everything I hear feels like hearsay, and don't even get me started on the pricing... it’s enough to make my head spin.

I actually spotted someone on a forum sharing a link to Samir’s photo portfolio. http://fotozine.org/?omen=samir His shots are fantastic. Does anyone know if they operate out of their own studio or something?

Samir was our photographer, and he was wonderful. Plus, his rates aren't nearly as steep as the other guys. You can find his portfolio page over on Facebook.

Melissa Grant69 said:Does anyone happen to know where I could track down one of those clusters of colorful helium balloons? (The kind you see in the movie UP 🙂). I’ve seen pictures of them online and they look pretty cool; I think I’d want to grab about ten of them 🙂

Uber, I actually have a discount at a boutique in LA from $333 that would let me sell them for $33, so if anyone is interested, just shoot me a DM 🙂

I picked up some helium balloons once over on Republic Avenue, at that wedding supply shop—I think it was called Vigor.

I had my makeup done by Jelena Marjanović, and honestly, she did an incredible job. She’s such a sweetheart, too. Just a heads-up though—she doesn't really do house calls. You actually have to head over to her studio. I ended up getting my flowers through the venue, $3.25 but I definitely paid more per chair than I probably should have. If you're looking to save some cash, I'd say driving out to Dakota might be the way to go. I have a feeling things are a bit more budget-friendly there.

Hey there! So, I actually have Jane Marjanović's number on hand. If anyone's looking for it, just shoot me a DM. Also, quick question for the ladies—does anyone happen to know what the going rate is for those balloon sets they use for the undergarment stuff?

So, I spent some time today browsing through wedding bands, and honestly, it really just comes down to what kind of weight you're looking for. It’s a bit like choosing a car; you want something that feels substantial but doesn't feel like a brick on your finger. I popped into Tiffany & Co., and they had some beautiful styles around $2667 and one specifically near $2000... though those were quite chunky and heavy-set. Then I swung by Zales, where they had options for about $35,000, but they weren't nearly as thick. I also checked out Pano, and they seemed to be running some discounts... oh, and I stopped by Emmi, which felt like the best value overall; their thicker bands go for about $11667, and they have plenty of women's styles with zirconias. It all really hinges on how much zirconia you pack in there, since that drives the price up. Plus, you can usually negotiate almost anywhere—like if you want something a bit slimmer but with a different pattern, they can often make it happen.

Has anyone checked out the engagement rings over in Indianapolis lately? I'm wondering where the best deals are hiding...

Kevin Smith7 said:I’m looking for some help finding a high-quality band for wedding guests to dance to—ideally a group that can also handle all the coordination and timing. I was thinking of something along the lines of Vigor or Quattro Band, but they happen to be booked up.

Does anyone have any good recommendations? Thanks so much!

Check out the Still band or maybe One Hundred Percent Band

Honestly, I’m not even losing sleep over the catering situation. I actually attended a wedding out in Savannah a few years back, and everything went incredibly smooth. Whenever we realized we were running low on something, we just asked the staff to bring more out, and they promptly delivered 🙂. Plus, I thought it was such a fantastic move that they started including the light show in the package price now—it's one less thing I have to worry about booking separately.

Hey there! So, I just put down a deposit for the "Jack - Petra" hall over in a nice Suburban neighborhood. The price covers pretty much everything—both the first and second dinners, all the cookies, cakes, and even the wedding cake up until $167. If we end up going over that budget, we just pay the difference later. They’ve actually started including sliced fruit and ice cream in the package now too, which is a nice touch. Anyway, I hope this helps someone out! We already booked a quartet for the band, though I'm still stuck on the photographer situation. Has anyone worked with Microsoft studios before? What’s their vibe like? Also, could someone please pass along the number for that makeup artist everyone keeps raving about, the one Taylor Swift uses? I think her last name is
.
