Maria Fisher46 said:Given when the urine sample was collected, it’s likely part of an infection that hadn't fully cleared up at the time of testing. However, finding White Blood Cells in a urine dipstick test is never considered a normal result... the reference value should be 0 or negative.

Now I'm looking at a different urine report—not a culture, but a chemical analysis where they looked at the microscopic sediment. In this one, the White Blood Cell count is 1, and the reference interval is 0-5... which would technically mean everything is fine. But I don't get it. This sample was taken just a few hours after the one sent to the Mayo Clinic, and also before that last round of IV therapy... How can one result looks okay while the other doesn't? I mean, sure, a day or two might have passed and she could have had more treatment in between, but that wasn't the case here... So now I'm feeling a bit foolish because I just can't wrap my head around why there's such a discrepancy...
Maria Fisher46 said:On a standard urinalysis dipstick, normal White Blood Cell levels are essentially zero—meaning a negative result. Anything else, even just a single plus sign or more, is considered abnormal... it’s a pathological finding.

Seeing white blood cells in the urine when the culture comes back sterile can actually happen if you're treating a urinary tract infection with antibiotics; it can linger for up to two weeks. However, if those cells are still showing up while the culture remains clear, then further investigation is definitely needed...

It isn't entirely clear from your question about the timing... specifically, when exactly was the urine sample taken for the dipstick versus the culture? Was it before therapy started, or during, or after? Usually, dipstick results for white blood cells aren't given as numbers, but rather as "plus" signs—starting from negative, then one plus (1+), and so on. Numerical values usually refer to the actual count per mm³ or the number of cells seen under a microscope field.

Thanks for the reply 🙂
The urine sample was taken after two days of IV treatment... so that was four doses total, since she was getting them twice a day, morning and night. After we provided the sample, she received one more IV dose, and then finished a seven-day course of oral antibiotics at home...
Regarding the results, there weren't any "plus" signs or crosses... it was just listed numerically, like I mentioned in my previous post. Brandon Martin seems fine now, or at least that's how it looks... we won't be able to show the results to our doctor until Monday, and then she'll tell us what the next steps are. I assume we'll have to repeat the culture in a few days... Honestly, I was really hoping to hear that those white blood cells aren't anything serious... I think I'm going to spend the whole weekend worrying...🙂
Hi there!
Can anyone tell me what counts as a normal White Blood Cell count on a urine dipstick test?
My little one just dealt with a urinary tract infection for the second time recently (or at least, that's how it seemed to me)... they were hospitalized and then finished up another week of antibiotics at home... while they were still receiving treatment at the hospital, they took a sample for a urine culture... the report says the urine is sterile, but the dipstick shows: White Blood Cell 75-500. Is that too high? I can't seem to find the standard reference ranges for these strips online... Is it possible for the urine to show as sterile because they were already on antibiotics at the time?

I suppose I should probably say something here... It feels like we’ve all been circling the same drain for a while now. I was sitting there this morning, just staring at my coffee, thinking about how much things have shifted lately. Everything feels a bit more frantic, doesn't it? A bit more rushed. I find myself missing those slower afternoons... back when you could actually breathe without feeling like you were falling behind some invisible clock. Anyway, that's just me rambling. Just a thought... kaže:
Does anyone happen to know if there are any other spots left...? That little Orangina bottle... there was something about it. It’s more than just a drink, really. Just a simple, iconic little thing you'd grab from a fridge at a gas station or a corner bodega... those glass bottles always felt different in your hand. A bit more substantial. I can still picture it sitting on a table back in the day... turns out, some things are just built better than others... Where can I actually find some...? I heard Smith is completely out of stock, and at the local coffee shops around here—well, at least in my neck of the woods—they aren't carrying it at all. There is this one single spot that still has it, but they’re charging enough to fund an entire wedding party... 🙂

I need about ten of them...

If you really can't find any at the local coffee shops... maybe just grab a whole case of soda from a wholesale club like Costco. Then you'll have plenty of bottles on hand... 😉 We were just as sweet as you... It wasn't even that expensive, really. But we definitely paid for it in stress and wasted time... and we certainly had enough to drink... 😛

People have such wildly different tastes when it comes to photography—what one person considers a perfect shot, another might find totally unnecessary. It’s all subjective, really. 🙂

True, yeah, you're absolutely right there... It's one of those things where you just can't argue with personal taste. 😛 I guess I'm just hoping they actually stick to what was agreed upon. 😳

graniteridge6 said:It seems to me—though I could be mistaken—that they were taking photos of my niece. Mind you, that was all the way back in 2008, so I have no telling how much the landscape has shifted since then.
The photos are undeniably lovely—truly beautiful, in fact—but they are pure, unadulterated classicism. There isn’t a single over-engineered concept or any sort of flashy digital manipulation to be found here; it’s all very straightforward. Whether that works for you really depends on your specific taste—if you're looking for something avant-garde, you won't find it. As for the video? It’s nothing to write home about—just one of those long, somewhat tedious slogs that drags on for several hours. 😬

And now, looking back—it really was five years ago...

Regarding the photography, I actually prefer the classic look... It's fine by me. We asked about the video because we didn't want something three hours long, and she said she could put together an hour or maybe ninety minutes if we wanted. But, someone mentioned they might not have captured anything inside the venue—you know, the cake and all that stuff... Now I'm getting a little anxious ://. Even if everything makes it into the video, still...
And yeah, they did some shots at my high school reunion recently. The photos were creative and interesting, but honestly, a bit much for my taste... I don't really need a whole album of photos where my mom and I are making silly faces just for the sake of being funny. 🙄

Hey everyone, can someone give me the lowdown on Rahela’s photo studio over at VK? I’m looking for some honest feedback—pros, cons, anything really. We actually put down a deposit for our wedding this October, but I stumbled upon some old posts online that made me feel a bit uneasy about their work quality... 😢 I really hope we didn't make a huge mistake by booking them 😢

All right. Sounds good... 😍
Thanks a lot... 🙂

Hey, has anyone been over to any of Stephanie’s salons on Facebook or in Indianapolis lately? I was wondering if they might have put out a new collection yet... maybe that pre-collection for 2014?
thanks 🙂

Does anyone know if there’s any lace available over in the hallway? Or maybe somewhere in a Small town, USA?

dustytinker58 said:If you ask me, organza is way more see-through than what we're looking at, so I don't think that's it. Besides, you can find dresses made of that kind of fabric in pretty much every shop during the summer months...
God help my cousins for dealing with me 😁

Yeah, I agree... some of those dresses have way too many layers. But this gray one? The bottom part is just far too sheer... especially with the light hitting it like that... 🤷
Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
dustytinker58, to looks like organdy to me... maybe some sheer silk, or even just plain tulle layered over regular silk or satin... it’s got that vibe... but I’m leaning most heavily toward organdy... it's hard to say for sure, though...

So, then 😁 I checked out a few different salons, and honestly, some of the staff just didn't seem particularly skilled... it was an immediate turn-off for me. Do you happen to have a number I could call? If you could send it over via DM, that would be great. I’d probably just bumble my way into the shop like a total klutz if I didn't have a heads-up 😛

Alex Ross32 said:Yeah, she changed her mind 🙂 I moved way too fast on that payment 🙂 If you end up finding a wedding dress over there, definitely let me know 😉

No worries... I've already been scrolling through some stuff online, looking at what they have available there. I have a feeling it’ll be one of those types... I just can't seem to bring myself to actually head out there yet... 🙂 So, what's the deal with the staff over there? Are they actually friendly... or do they give you that typical "don't bother me" look? I can never tell sometimes... Some people... In salons?...

The new collection is sitting at $5,500—which is a massive jump compared to the old stuff that usually hovered between $3,500 and $4,500. I already put down a deposit with them, but honestly, I’ve had a total change of heart since then. So, if you end up finding "the one" at their shop, let me know—I can just hand over my deposit to you.$333) za $167 So you’d end up wearing the wedding dress in the end anyway—just a thought. $167 Cheaper—as if that’s ever actually been the case. It’s always some kind of catch. 🙂 They told me it was possible—like you’ve actually put away a grand, even though you're just sitting there thinking you're saving money. $167 🙂

I’ve already posted this before—sorry if I'm repeating myself—but hey, maybe someone actually finds it useful. 🙂

Wait, so you actually changed your mind??
Ahhh, okay, now I see that you did :P I clearly misread that part 🙂 maybe we could actually work something out together 😁

I’ve started the slow process of planning my wedding, and I could really use some advice. I'm based in Memphis, so I'm looking for a venue, a florist, a band, and all the little extras that go with it. There is a local hall here called V&S, but I haven't heard anything good about it. I assume Hotel Lav is on the pricier side, so if anyone knows their rates, please let me know 😉. My other options are Wichita (which seems like a better bet) or Indianapolis—though Indy is a bit of a trek since my relatives are coming from Little Rock, and I'd rather they didn't arrive completely exhausted from the drive. As for florists in Memphis... what about Jukić? Yes or no? Ideally, I want one vendor who can handle everything: the bouquet, boutonnieres, decorating the car, the church, and whatever else they offer. Please send recommendations for Memphis or Wichita. Regarding photographers... right now I'm looking at the Krizmanić family or Photo Ivan from Ivankov. Most of them include invitations and thank-you notes, so hopefully, that's one less thing to worry about. For the dessert... I'm hoping the cake and decor are included in the venue price 😁, otherwise, I'll probably order the sweets and the wedding cake from Babin Greda. Now, the band!!! That's the real headache. There are endless options, but I need someone talented who won't break the bank (around $1667). I'm looking for a group that can play traditional folk music as well as modern hits. Even a standalone folk group would work, provided they are versatile enough to cover everything... and again, a reasonable price point 🙂.
If I've overlooked anything, please chime in 😉. I hope I'm not being too demanding 😂

Honey, I might not be able to help much, but here goes, hopefully this helps a little... 🙂
In Wichita, I think the best option is the Admiral Hotel. The restaurant is lovely, the food is great, and the staff is professional and attentive 😛 You could also look into the Bos halls; I've never been myself, but I've heard from plenty of people that they're decent.
Whatever you do, don't hire Photo Ivan... to be perfectly honest, I've never seen such poor photos or videos in my life. It was a nightmare!! 😱 Photo Rahela from Vk is good, and lately, I've heard about photo Medo, though I wouldn't bet my life on him.
Regarding sweets, the bakery run by Katherine in Ivankov used to have wonderful cakes; I just hope they haven't changed over the years 😉
A band for $1667?? That's tough! I don't think anyone will play all night for less than $1,000 🤷
As for flowers, the shop run by Iris from Ivankov is good, but I don't really know how the others compare... I hope this helps a bit 🙂

Well, that sounds like a good plan then 😁 since I caught someone on some random thread mentioning a Manuel Mote gown $2333 though... I know Isabelle carries those styles and I really love them, but $7,000 is just a bit too steep for me 🙂 I actually had my eye on one for about $3,500, but after thinking about it for a few days, I’m not even sure I like it anymore 🤣 thanks for the heads-up 🙂

Hey Tete, did you ever end up getting a wedding dress from that Isabelle boutique in Cleveland?? Or even just stop by there to get a sense of what their rental prices look like... Thanks in advance 😁

I’m actually looking for that same info too... 😁
