Does anyone actually know a legit salon around Columbus or Des Moines that does killer eyelash extensions? I need someone who won't mess up my face. 😍

I’m honestly in the same boat—staring at my reflection wondering where the hell I should go to get my hair fixed. 🤷

restlesshawk48 said:Does anyone know if the per-seat pricing at the Admiral in Small town is the same as what they charge at the Admiral Hotel, or is it more expensive?? Also, if anyone’s looking for a photographer, I messaged a local hair salon on Facebook to ask about their process and how fast they work—they sent some package deals straight to my inbox.

It’s the exact same price. We stayed at the Admiral downtown and got a quote that covered both locations—there isn't any difference whatsoever.😉

Hey, quick question—has anyone here ever been glammed up by Ana Cvitić? She works over at Stephanie’s bridal boutique in VK. I actually picked out my wedding dress there, and she mentioned she does makeup on the side. I've heard some decent things, but I wanted to see if anyone here has actually used her before. Any reviews? 😉

Hey there, OP... quick question for the group. My wedding is set for July 5th, and I’m currently spiraling because I need to find a hair stylist and a makeup artist. Since I'm living in New York City, I have absolutely no clue where to look in the surrounding areas—maybe Indianapolis, Columbus, or Savannah? Right now, I'm torn between Serena Williams and that Chanel studio in Columbus, but honestly, looking at their portfolios, the Chanel place seems to have a slightly better vibe.
Help me out here..... if this wedding were in NYC, I wouldn't even be asking because I'd know exactly where to go, but being out here is stressing me out. This is driving me nuts; I actually picked out my photographer and my band faster than this 😵

Thanks, and good luck to everyone 😍😍

Honestly, so far—though I still need to check out a few more places—the ones that appeal to me most are Laura and the admiral (though my dear, at one wedding, he supposedly had some issues with the staff at the admiral, saying he practically had to tug on their sleeves just to get more food or drinks brought over, so I'm not sure how to take that, and if that's true, it's a major downside).
Also, do you happen to know anything about Kunjevac? I've eaten there a couple of times and it was perfectly fine, and I think the atmosphere is lovely (both the restaurant and the patio), but I haven't actually seen the banquet hall itself yet, so I have no idea how they handle weddings.

So, we actually went down there to check out the hall ourselves... and honestly? Nothing special. To me, the room felt way too cramped, and the food situation seemed pretty lackluster. The only real perk is a decent view. We talked to a girl at the front desk who showed us around, but she clearly didn't have a clue what she was talking about when we asked questions. She just promised that the manager or whatever would email us an offer... and that was back in February. We haven't heard a single damn thing since. On top of that, I heard a rumor recently that they might have closed down entirely, so you should probably look into that before you waste your time.🤷

Does anyone actually know what the total comes out to for RCA Records and Taylor Swift?🙂

I'm also from Washington, D.C., and my fiancé is from Indianapolis... we're actually having our wedding there too. We ended up booking Ivan's Castle in Ivan on 10/04/2014, so that date is already taken.🙂 We looked at several venues around Dakota and Indianapolis, but in the end, this one was our favorite. We're planning on about 300 guests, and they have those nice round tables that work perfectly for a group that size. I haven't actually attended a wedding there myself, but I've heard nothing but glowing reviews.
We booked our band as well—we went with the Gentleman musicians from Columbus, and everyone speaks so highly of them. They aren't just your typical traditional players; they play absolutely everything, so I'm pretty sure they'll put on quite a show...😘>

Hahaha, you've got to be kidding me... my fiancé and I were actually looking at that exact same date, and—as luck would have it—he's originally from Ivan! heheheh. Honestly, I wouldn't even consider looking anywhere other than the VK Hall, mostly because I have a huge chunk of family coming in from California, and I want to make things as easy as possible for them to stay nearby. I was actually there for a prom a year or so ago (just in the smaller section), and everything seemed fine. Everyone raves about it—they say it's a fantastic venue, and I've heard the food is amazing, too, so... yeah, it sounds super, super good. Bravo! 🙂 Would you mind asking what their pricing is like?

We went with the per-chair rate $50 yeah, but I'm not sure what the base price for just the hall ends up being.
Look, my first choice was actually Admiral strictly because of the rooms. I wanted everyone right there so nobody has to deal with driving around. But once we crunched all the numbers, the price gap was actually pretty massive. Mark, the guy over at the estate, told us they sign deals with local hostels and motels every single year to keep the room rates around $33, which isn't bad at all... so we ended up pulling the trigger on that instead...😉

I’m also from Washington, D.C., and my dear is from Indianapolis... so we’re looking at having the wedding there too. We actually put down a deposit on Ivan's Estate in Dakota on 10/04/2014, so that date is officially off the table for anyone else!🙂We spent forever scouting out venues all over Dakota and Indianapolis, but honestly, that one just blew us away. We’re planning on about 300 guests, and they have those perfect round tables specifically set up for a crowd that size. I haven't actually attended a wedding there myself, but everything I’ve heard has been nothing but glowing reviews.
As for the band, we already locked them in—we went with the Gentlemen, those musicians from Columbus, and everyone talks them up. They aren't your typical old-school band; they play absolutely everything, so I’m positive they’re going to put on an incredible show...😘

We went ahead and booked the Ivanov estate over in Ivankov, and honestly, we’re feeling pretty good about it so far. We’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews, so I’m thinking we definitely made the right call here. 🙂

The Band that really caught our attention ☕ is the Gentlemen. Once again, we've heard nothing but praise for them. Has anyone else here actually worked with them before? 😵

Mark Flores47 said:Since nobody seems to have any info on Ten, does anyone know anything about Kunjevac? Ladies, I need help here 🙂

I heard Kunjevac is closed down, but you should probably double-check. We actually drove out there once hoping to check them out, and the girl at the front desk was totally clueless. She told us the manager would email over some info, but it’s been nearly two months since we got that email and still... nothing. Absolute radio silence. It’s honestly pathetic how unprofessional they are. 🤷

urbanpanther18 said:I know one venue that recommends her—but honestly, don't take those recs too seriously. Whether it's cakes, flowers, or music, half the time those "recommendations" are just under-the-table deals. 😉 Gle, a friend of mine actually recommended her because she did a great job for her, and I’ve been at those weddings myself. Sadly, I didn't hear any of the bad stuff until after my own wedding was over. I already posted everything I went through here so future brides could be careful when picking her. But they ended up deleting the post... Anyway, long story short, she didn't do anything we actually agreed on, except maybe the head table. Like, the buffet arrangements and that archway above the entrance? We had to go out Saturday morning on the day of the wedding, driving all over town looking for a different florist to fix it because she totally forgot. The table arrangements didn't even look like what we talked about (I still have the photo on my phone since we asked her to make a sample for us). Gle, I got lucky that everything else turned out great, so I'm happy with the rest of the day... But I heard later that half her neighbors work there too, so apparently, when she gets booked for multiple weddings on the same day (or so I heard), who knows who's actually putting things together... Since the sample she made for us was gorgeous, but what actually showed up on the tables was a total disaster... 🙂

Look, I’m asking because there’s some kind of discount on the floral arrangements if I bundle them with the catering package, but even without your input, I was already feeling pretty skeptical... honestly though, I am absolutely obsessed with those wedding planners from the El Paso-based Exclusive Weddings crew!😍

urbanpanther18 said:Jaka has a Facebook page, pretty sure her flower shop is called Valerie, but I can't quite remember—either way, she's someone you definitely want to avoid.😉

Wait, why would you avoid her? From what I've gathered, everyone raves about her, and both venues actually recommended her to us.🤷

Hey everyone,
I’ve been lurking here for a minute, but I figured it’s finally time to actually jump in and start typing. 🙂
So, anyway, the big wedding is set for September 2014. We’ve been scouting venues around Indianapolis and Des Moines lately, and it got me wondering—has anyone actually held a wedding at the Ivanov estate over in Ivankov? We went to check out the place recently and, honestly, it’s sitting at the top of our list right now.
Also, does anyone know if that famous DJ, Jaka, has a website or a Facebook page? I’ve been searching high and low but haven't found a thing. 🤷
