silentraven18 said:That sounds lovely—I actually really like their work too, so I’m thinking about grabbing a coffee with them sometime soon. I’ve already reached out to them via Facebook 🙂

They both seem absolutely wonderful, honestly.
Just feeling a bit playful today! 😂😂

Check out Taylor Swift too 🙂 No clue what the price tag is, but those photos are pretty interesting 😉

Michelle Harris27 said:Listen, I’ve actually got a few quick and easy ways to save you some cash if you're looking for them...

I have to tell you guys about this amazing little flower shop called Aloe over in Savannah—honestly, their arrangements are absolutely stunning and they aren't overpriced at all! I actually ended up hiring them to do some floral work for me recently because I just couldn't get enough of their style. If you're looking for something special, you should definitely go track them down on Facebook!

If you're looking for invitations, you seriously need to check out invitations.org. Honestly, their prices are super reasonable, and they even have some great deals running on certain designs right now. Plus, if you can't find exactly what you're looking for on their main site, don't sweat it—they’re actually pretty cool about custom orders and can whip up something specific just for you. It's definitely worth a look!

If you’re looking to pick up some rings, you should definitely check out that jewelry shop over in Savannah—Daka’s. Honestly, if you’re willing to pay in cash, you can pretty much negotiate just about anything. They're super flexible with the pricing if you handle it that way; you can actually get the price dropped quite a bit if you play your cards right!

If you're hunting for the perfect wedding dress, honestly, you have to check out Nicole's place—it’s hands down the best bridal boutique around. I was just chatting with a friend about how stressful finding "the one" can be, but seriously, her shop makes the whole experience feel so effortless and special.

Honestly, you can just wait until Vartek has a big sale. I’ve seen stuff coming in from Canada that’s actually better quality than what you'd find elsewhere, and I guarantee it. It really wouldn't be worth your while to buy something that looks cheap in photos when the price difference isn't even that significant. You want to look sharp, not like you're wearing a costume!

When it comes to photography and video, I’m telling you, nothing beats a solid zoom—it honestly works wonders. There’s just something about being able to pull that shot in from a distance that makes everything feel so much more professional and impactful.

The band is actually pretty great—they aren't asking for an arm and a leg to book them, either. They’re super versatile and play everywhere, plus they have a female vocalist, though I'm not entirely sure if she's a permanent fixture or just a guest for certain gigs. They're from Savannah, obviously, and they've got that classic SiriusXM vibe going on.

If you’re looking to get your hair done, I honestly can't recommend the Simple salon over at Walmart enough... they really know what they're doing. And if you need someone to handle your makeup too, just talk to them—they’re hands down the best in the business for that kind of thing!

I really should do some more digging into the cookie situation, but honestly, my mom was insisting that the absolute best ones she’s ever had came from a little bakery in Memphis. She made this claim that their cakes look like they were professionally drawn or something—just perfectly executed. I actually left all the heavy lifting regarding the planning and organization to her, so I'm not entirely sure what the specific names of those treats are yet, but as soon as I track them down, I'll let you know!

What kind of prices are we talking about for rings and flowers? 🙂

Brandon Barnes said:Alright, let’s open up a discussion on photography locations... I have a question: where is the best place to take photos? 😁
Do any of you have suggestions, creative ideas, or personal experiences regarding spots around Columbus for a photoshoot—somewhere that isn't just the usual suspects like the downtown square, the historic district, or the main riverwalk?

If you actually have enough time for a shoot—head out to the Great Plains🙂 along with those typical tourist spots everyone's already seen.

Kevin Smith7 said:The collections at Isabel's include some lovely, elegant wedding gowns. Has anyone here actually rented from them? When you rent from Nicole's, they include certain accessories in the package. I wonder if Isabel's offers something similar? I think I'll have to visit an Isabel's location; they have shops in Des Moines, Indianapolis, and Columbus.

Every single shop does that—you get extras.

James Lopez8 said:Yes, yes... that price covers both photo and video. It comes out to $1,500 ($3667) plus $1.75 thank-you notes (I need about 200 of them), bringing the total to $4000. I’m honestly not sure what the rate would be for just photography alone, since his quote bundled everything together.

A few girls have actually asked me about the wedding bands I had made in Indianapolis. A guy named Drake is making them for me—the final price for the pair was $1280 (we went with a width of 7.5 mm and a thickness of 1.5 mm, so they're a bit on the thicker side). I guess we got a pretty great deal, especially considering Koci quoted us $2933 for something similar, and even Lawrence over in the Midwest wanted up to 10 $0.00😲

Could you DM me Drake's number or some way to contact him? Everything at the big jewelry stores is just way too expensive...

Paul Fisher34 said:I actually signed my contract with them like two months ago $1167 since we didn't grab that option about names or whatever you want listed on there... honestly, with stuff like that, it's just like $1333...

Unbelievable. Just last month he told us it would be $4,500, but if we wanted those specific names, the price jumps to $230 or $93 even higher 😕 It’s just great when they start pulling different numbers out of thin air 🙂 luckily we caught on fast enough to see there were better deals available, so we didn't jump the gun and sign right away

Paul Fisher34 said:We ended up going with Marmu out of Indianapolis ( $1167), and I know of Vrtarić ( $567)

The guy was quoting us 4500 for MarMa 🤷--absolutely ridiculous

quietcobra52 said:Just thought of something else—if anyone’s actually looking for ideas. The wedding lighting from Jarmina over at VK- Marma light is super affordable, and since the guy also runs the Valentino band, you can probably snag a deal if you book both together. As far as the band goes, they're solid—more of a modern party vibe, but they can play pretty much anything. They actually played my cousin's wedding recently. P.S. Not an ad or anything, I just noticed nobody ever mentions them on here, and honestly? They’re good. Plus, they have a singer and some videos on YouTube.

We actually reached out to them for a quote, and turns out they're $333 way more expensive than the others—at least when it comes to the lighting.

Henry Harris5 said:I’d definitely recommend the Music Fun team.

thanks 🙂

I don't get Krizmanić at all—I called to check their rates and they quoted me 6, maybe 6.5k $2333 😕 and that doesn't even include tips. I have no idea how you guys are getting it for 5500 🙂

Right now, the lighting situation is what’s really killing me—prices are all over the map, and honestly, we’ve been warned that it’s better to skip the lights entirely than to end up with some cheap, low-quality junk. 🤷I haven't a clue who actually does good work—anyone here have any real experiences to share?
Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
Who’s actually making custom wedding bands in St. Louis? I've heard there are tons of people just doing it on the side—basically off the books—which ends up being like 50% cheaper...

Hannah Moore32 said:No worries... I've already been scrolling through some stuff online, looking at what they have available there. I have a feeling it’ll be one of those types... I just can't seem to bring myself to actually head out there yet... 🙂 So, what's the deal with the staff over there? Are they actually friendly... or do they give you that typical "don't bother me" look? I can never tell sometimes... Some people... In salons?...

The staff is actually super sweet. I went in totally indecisive, telling them I was still weighing my options, and they didn't even blink—they just went through all the dresses with me all over again without any attitude. They really try to get what you're looking for so they can suggest things in that same vein. When you call to set an appointment, just tell them exactly which dresses you want to try on. There's a chance the ones you want might not be in stock the day you show up, so they'll book a special time when everything you want is actually in the shop—saves you from having to drive back and forth a hundred times.

quietcobra52 said:About a year ago, my brother paid $5300 plus $2.00 per gift—and they had 180 of them, so we're looking at $6380 total. No clue what the market looks like now, but my brother was super happy with their work.

I really need to give them a call then—this sounds like a steal, and honestly, the photos look solid. I've seen much higher quotes from photographers who couldn't find the focus if their lives depended on it.

Ethan Cox5 said:Honestly, finding a decent camera for under a thousand bucks is basically impossible, and even if you do find one, you have to wonder if it’s actually any good... Mine set me back almost eleven grand!! 😳 But hey, whatever... that's just the category where I refuse to cut corners...
And don't even get me started on photographers... man, the prices people are asking these days... I haven't even put a deposit down on anyone yet... They are just way too expensive for me right now... 😁

You won't find anyone for under $6,000 😢 and if you want someone actually decent—someone who isn't just average—you're looking at $10,000 or more once you bundle the photography, video, and thank-you gifts together (since most vendors split those up to make the initial quote look cheaper). A wedding is just plain expensive 🤔

Hannah Moore32 said:Wait, so you actually changed your mind??
Ahhh, okay, now I see that you did :P I clearly misread that part 🙂 maybe we could actually work something out together 😁

Yeah, she changed her mind 🙂 I moved way too fast on that payment 🙂 If you end up finding a wedding dress over there, definitely let me know 😉

What’s the damage with Krizmanić? Does their quote already cover thank-you gifts, or is that an extra line item?
It drives me nuts when I have to tack on $2.25 per gift on top of the base rate—it ends up making the photographer way more $500 expensive than they actually are.

Hannah Moore32 said:Hey Tete, did you ever end up getting a wedding dress from that Isabelle boutique in Cleveland?? Or even just stop by there to get a sense of what their rental prices look like... Thanks in advance 😁

The new collection is sitting at $5,500—which is a massive jump compared to the old stuff that usually hovered between $3,500 and $4,500. I already put down a deposit with them, but honestly, I’ve had a total change of heart since then. So, if you end up finding "the one" at their shop, let me know—I can just hand over my deposit to you.$333) za $167 So you’d end up wearing the wedding dress in the end anyway—just a thought. $167 Cheaper—as if that’s ever actually been the case. It’s always some kind of catch. 🙂 They told me it was possible—like you’ve actually put away a grand, even though you're just sitting there thinking you're saving money. $167 🙂

I’ve already posted this before—sorry if I'm repeating myself—but hey, maybe someone actually finds it useful. 🙂

Thomas Brooks2 said:In my opinion, it’s much better to just go a few times so we don't end up looking "overdone," because a bride with an unnatural tan doesn't look particularly elegant—in fact, it can actually look quite unflattering. Plus, it isn't exactly cheap either. There happens to be a convenient spot for me down in the city, so I think I'll plan on heading there about five or six times.😉

It all comes down to how intense the tanning bed is—you really shouldn't just dive into the high-end stuff right away. It’s way better to start with a low-intensity session once or twice a week, then slowly ramp up the minutes or move to a stronger machine later on. I’d say starting about two months out is the sweet spot—maybe once a week, or eventually twice a week if you want a healthy glow—rather than hitting some turbo-charged bed for two weeks straight and ending up with a total disaster of a tan.

Patrick Morris6 said:Then you can just rush through the photos... I haven't even glanced at wedding dresses yet either 🤣D
Good luck!

If you happen to find a dress at Isabella’s, I’ve already put down a deposit there ($333), so I’d happily pass it on to someone for $167—since I’ve totally changed my mind. I mentioned this before, but figured I'd refresh the thread 🙂

Seriously, is it even possible that nobody here owns jewelry from Isabella?
I don't know if I just typed that weirdly—retyping it now. 🙂
I’m talking about an upfront deal at half price—you pay half, you get the whole thing.
