Everything you need for a Midwest wedding

We had a public fundraiser, and maybe I'm wrong, but once they heard the amount we pulled in, it felt like they just stopped trying. I think we messed up by not speaking up sooner, too. We actually had an agreement: if after, say, three songs—something fun—they didn't connect with the crowd, they’d switch up the setlist. But they totally blew off that deal. Looking back, they played two songs, then some Midwest tunes, then a bunch of choral and party stuff. If the party had wrapped up by 1 AM, I would've been thrilled because they were killing it until then; after that, it was just pathetic. It's probably on us, though—neither the groom nor I are from the Midwest. We'd only ever heard them online, not live. When we walked into the hall where dinner was happening and heard them, we were stoked, thinking we made a killer choice. Honestly, I stopped paying attention to the band because I just assumed, "Yeah, these guys are pros, they'll get the job done." Turns out, I should've kept them on a shorter leash all night.
I sent you the price via DM. As for the local traditions, I don't know the first thing about them—I'm not from the Midwest myself. We aren't doing a massive blowout wedding, just around 150 people, and we just want a decent band that plays some classic regional hits and keeps things lively since there'll be a lot of young people there. And yeah, I'm in the same boat—I don't know anything about bands in the Midwest either; I'm just going off what I've seen online...
