Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
Harold Allen60 said:Hey everyone! I could really use a little help from you all—I'm getting married this year in a small town in the Midwest, but since I'm coming all the way from the city, I'm looking for some solid recommendations... specifically for hair and makeup experts (ideally around the Chicago area) who can nail both! Also, any good florist suggestions? I'd love to save myself from scrolling through every single thread on here. Thanks in advance!

You don't even have to look far! If you just scroll back about 15 posts, you'll find exactly what you're looking for right there.😉

wanderingfalcon13 said:So, it looks like more of us are stuck in this dilemma. I’ve been scrolling through the forums, and honestly, there’s a massive divide. A ton of people are venting about their experiences with Victoria, while the lucky ones who didn't run into any issues seem perfectly happy. It’s like two different worlds. I’m trying to track down some actual work samples from Chic Studio, but I’m hitting a wall. I managed to find some of Victoria's stuff on Facebook, but nothing from Chic Studio—or maybe I'm just looking in all the wrong places. Any leads? 🙂

Just type that into the Facebook search bar 😉

Keith Johnson11 said:Hi everyone 🙂! I’m having a bit of a dilemma: should I go with Victoria Beckham or the Chanel studio? I'm looking for both hair styling and makeup services. I've been scrolling through photos on Facebook, and I honestly can't make up my mind. It feels to me like Victoria does better hair, while MAC Cosmetics nails the makeup. Any suggestions? Has anyone had experience with either? Thanks so much!

Go with the Chanel studio, hands down! Me and pretty much everyone I know have had nothing but amazing experiences there. 😍

Victoria is great too, though. She did my makeup once and I looked fantastic, but I still wouldn't really risk it if I wanted everything perfect...

quietcobra52 said:Honestly, if you can swing it, just drive over to Canada to pick them up. Either a small town in the Midwest or a small town in the Midwest works. We grabbed some yellow gold pieces in a small town in the Midwest for $733, which was a steal—back home they were asking $3,800 for the exact same thing

I’ve actually heard some rumors that their gold isn't the best quality, though. Like, apparently the plating starts changing color after just a year or two...

A friend of mine actually used them for her wedding, and from everything I’ve heard, she was absolutely thrilled with how the photos turned out! As for the video services, though, I haven't really looked into that—I didn't think to ask about the footage or what they charge. 😉

Keith Johnson11 said:Hi everyone :-)! I was wondering if anyone here has any firsthand experience or insights regarding PIM photo studio over in Indianapolis? I haven't been able to find much info on the forums, and their own website is pretty lacking when it comes to their portfolio. Thanks!

You can actually find them on Facebook! 😉

Nicholas Davis40 said:Hey, has anyone here actually taken a dance class over in Columbus? I'm trying to figure out what the damage looks like for a 5 to 10-hour block... 🙂 thanks

Well, you've got the SPU Phoenix program which runs for about two months. I also know there's a local dance studio called Leon that offers classes, and they do one-on-one sessions too! I'm not totally sure about the rates, but if you're on Facebook, just shoot them a quick message.

Wait, aren't all of Nicole's companies owned by the same person? I was just scrolling through some news on a site earlier, and while they didn't explicitly mention bankruptcy, it definitely sounds like they're liquidating those apartment complexes "to cover debts."

I highly recommend Mozaik! 👍

rustyjackal26 said:Hey everyone, my wedding date is slowly creeping up on me—August 2nd is the big day. 😁
We’ve pretty much locked down almost everything we need; now it’s just those last-minute technicalities that pop up right before the ceremony. 🙂
Just kidding: Teni, Small Town, USA
Photographer: Zoom, Local Band Area
Band: Subscription Box, Indianapolis
Hair & Makeup: Studio Chic, Indianapolis
Bridal Boutique: Nikoline, Indianapolis
Cakes: Local Business (we’re putting down a deposit this weekend at the wedding expo in Indy)
Florist: Camellia, Small Town, USA

We also finished our pre-cana course at the church. Now it’s just the small stuff: boutonnieres, home decor, bows, wedding bands, a suit for my guy, and SHOES... Honestly, I haven't found anything I actually like in any shop around Indianapolis, so I'll probably just head to Marry Ed (http://marryed.com/). Does anyone have recommendations for wedding bands here in Indianapolis or nearby? I'm looking for someone who makes beautiful pieces without the massive markup you find in the big jewelry stores. 😍

Regarding the rings, that jeweler over at Emmetts is actually really affordable, and they can make basically whatever you dream up! 😉

Hey there! Just checking in! Hope everyone is having an absolutely stellar day! kaže:
Hey everyone! I could really use some help picking out the music for my wedding party. Right now, I’ve narrowed it down to two main choices: The Beach Boys from Indianapolis or The Beach Boys. I'm totally open to any and all suggestions! Every single comment helps!

The Beach Boys are totally alright! I haven't really heard much about The Beach Boys, though. 😬

rowdyangler11 said:To be perfectly honest, I’ve never even heard of the second group, and frankly, the feedback on the first one has been a bit hit-or-miss. Personally, I just listen to Babylon, and they're actually the ones I ended up booking—even though I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them live yet, since every single person I asked kept raving about them. It wasn't until much later that I caught some videos of them online, and I have to say, they are hands down the most impressive of the bunch. So, that's where we stand; once we officially pull the trigger on them, we'll have to cover both their fee and their travel expenses, considering the wedding is going to be held in Canada.

Is Babylon from Memphis? I actually caught them playing at a wedding once, and man, they were absolutely incredible! 👍

driftingjackal9 said:Hey there, OP... quick question for the group. My wedding is set for July 5th, and I’m currently spiraling because I need to find a hair stylist and a makeup artist. Since I'm living in New York City, I have absolutely no clue where to look in the surrounding areas—maybe Indianapolis, Columbus, or Savannah? Right now, I'm torn between Serena Williams and that Chanel studio in Columbus, but honestly, looking at their portfolios, the Chanel place seems to have a slightly better vibe.
Help me out here..... if this wedding were in NYC, I wouldn't even be asking because I'd know exactly where to go, but being out here is stressing me out. This is driving me nuts; I actually picked out my photographer and my band faster than this 😵

Thanks, and good luck to everyone 😍😍

It’s definitely Dragan from Chicago. Seriously, that woman is a total pro—hands down the best in the business! 😍 iPhone using Tapatalk
