If you're leaning toward pop-rock—both are solid—but I’d give the edge to Jessie J.

It’s far from being poorly decorated, but I find myself searching for something near the coast—it would be a shame not to take advantage of that setting—though I suspect any hall, no matter how plain it might seem, could be polished up to look like this if you put in the effort.

Have you tried Sheepie for smaller portions? You won't find anything that close to the ocean.🙂
And Forest has started doing small plates too...

I already booked the patio at the Radisson Hotel for our wedding. The prices are basically the same as their indoor hall. The cheapest option is $107 per person (drinks not included). The only difference from booking the hall is an extra $1.25 fee for the patio rental; everything else stays the same.

My fiancé and I did a food tasting and I was actually pretty impressed.

If anyone else ends up at a wedding at the Radisson, let us know how it goes.

I was just at the Radisonna this past Saturday—food was decent (classic menu: dry appetizer: prosciutto and cheese, French style, warm appetizer, two types of risotto: beef risotto was OVERPEPPERED 😠 1st course: green pasta with seafood—EXCELLENT, beef stew—just okay; 2nd course: lamb—honestly, the potatoes were TOP-TIER, but the meat was mediocre... the newlyweds handled the desserts.

Staff was helpful and fast, though clearly college students working part-time rather than professionals.

My boyfriend was at the reception; it started at 4 PM and lasted until almost 2 AM. Even though I assume the hall booking ended at midnight, the manager and staff didn't make a scene about the extension...

I don't know the exact price, but the couple mentioned they were happy. I can ask them if anyone cares, since we have their reunion this Friday.😁

I'm gonna wait for 😁's reply too, since I'll have about 20 guests dealing with the exact same 'issue' 🙂

Try looking outside of San Francisco—maybe check out the Amigos restaurant in Malibu; I know for a fact they keep guest apartments right next to their catering hall, and if it isn't peak summer, the price is practically symbolic

I have my graduation party coming up next September, and while I’ve already settled on a DJ, I’m still weighing my options for live music... 😉Has anyone here actually seen Mirko bura perform at an event? A friend recommended them to me, saying they’re absolutely fantastic... so if anyone has any intel or personal experiences with their set, please let me know!

That's just Mirko bura 🙂
He isn't a band—just a singer performing with his guitarist. How should I put this... the guy knows how to set a mood. If you've ever been to Blue Coffee or a decent gastropub, you'd know what I mean. He's like a more budget-friendly version—don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's worse—of Matthew and the guys or maybe a Bomb

He's playing somewhere almost every weekend, so honestly, just track down a venue where he's booked and go listen 🙂

Henry Hill26 said:Does anyone have the inside scoop on the Mediterranean resort (like that one spot near the woods)? The location and the venue itself look killer, and honestly, the food at the restaurant seems solid too. My only real hang-up is whether 120 people would feel way too cramped in the indoor area if we get hit with rain... Has anyone actually hosted a party there before?

Last I heard they aren't doing parties anymore—though the location is unbeatable.

Fable is closed... you'll find plenty of people on this forum who were screwed over by piracy—paid their deposits and then these guys just vanished into thin air.
It’s a shame because it was actually a top-tier venue for parties... they had three rooms total (two large, one small), their own parking, and a prime downtown location.
Truly a waste...

Has anyone here actually experienced it—the good, the bad, and the ugly? I’m looking for honest feedback, compliments, or even the harshest critiques.

I was the photographer at one of their banquets... it was their third or fourth one of the night... they weren't exactly "on," some servers were friendly, jumping around the table, while others you practically have to beg just to get a spoon... food... mediocre. The first course was a buffet, but it was picked clean immediately and they DIDN'T replenish it—whether that was the couple's call or just poor management, who knows.
The perks are the perfect location and an incredible view; let's hope they've stepped up their service game.

William Cook35 said:I mean, I know people listen to all sorts of country music, even some Thompson tracks, which I'm totally down with, but for the life of me, I can't find a decent playlist of his stuff anywhere...

Listen—one of those legendary radio hosts and top-tier entertainers is key here. To me, that matters deeply because just playing songs isn't enough to set the right vibe at a wedding. If the DJ doesn't say a single word during the whole party and fails to connect with the crowd, then they aren't a real wedding DJ (and believe me, there are plenty of them).
His setlist is really up to whatever you negotiate with him—but if you're hoping he'll suddenly pivot to playing country music, you should probably look elsewhere. He won't touch it; that's where he draws the line and will tell you straight up.
copperhound16 said:Hey, does anyone have a contact for a local choir in San Francisco? I just need them for an hour or two, specifically for some music outside and inside a church. Thanks. 🙂

Sent the number for that Suburban town vocal group via DM—they're top-tier. 🙂

brightscout12 said:I heard from a few people who attended a reception there that the hall is stunning, but the food was just okay and the prices were kinda steep... I think the cheapest menu starts at $55 and that doesn't even include drinks...

They have two halls—the larger one doubles as a conference space and can hold up to about 300 guests. Honestly, the venues are gorgeous, they have private parking, and you can stay overnight right on-site if there's availability. One thing that really impressed me: the AC is actually reliable—it stays consistent all night long, unlike some places where it feels freezing for ten minutes and then just shuts off.🤣
The food was a standard set menu both times—pretty decent... though since I was attending as a guest, I don't know what the actual cost was.
