Hey there... Does anyone happen to have a receipt from a recent trip to Ira over in a small town, USA, that they might still be holding onto? I need to pick up two or three rolls of thread for $33, but they’re being pretty sticklers about it—they want me to show that I've already spent $100 or at least provide a previous receipt to prove it...
The flavors were all pretty varied—chocolate, stracciatella, hazelnut, fruit, and vanilla. I stuck to the stracciatella and hazelnut, and honestly, they were delicious. I’ve never been much of a fan of store-bought cakes; they always feel a bit artificial to me, but this one was genuinely impressive. The frosting was a white cream, decorated with these little purple roses... I skipped the marzipan paste or whatever that sugary stuff was, since that's just not my thing. I didn't pick up any individual pastries there myself, though; my aunts usually handled all the dessert shopping for us. 🙂If I were you, I'd just head over there and grab a variety box so you can sample everything...

It’s actually over in St. Louis... if you're taking the freeway toward San Francisco, you'll pass an ExxonMobil station on your right. You can just pull into that gas station and look for a little retaining wall right by the road; if you climb up there and walk uphill for maybe twenty yards or so, you'll spot the Bill Gates sign... I think you might even be able to see it from the highway, though I couldn't say for sure. Getting there from the upper side is a bit of a mystery to me, so I can't really give you much more detail than that...
I’d definitely suggest checking out Jazz hair studio, the one just up from the tunnel over in Florida... When my partner was getting married, we both went there to get our hair done and honestly, we were both so happy with how it turned out. The price ended up being $33, basically $150 for her since she had a much more complicated style and needed a wash, whereas I’d already washed mine the day before...

I ended up ordering a massive five-tier cake to be delivered all the way out to Boise, and I picked it up from $333 over at the Vail bakery in San Diego. Honestly, though, the flavor was absolutely spot on...

I think Procter & Gamble stays open until 4:00 on weekdays... though I suspect Miller and Box might be a bit more on the pricey side.

Jesse played at a family gathering for us once, and honestly, they were just kind of... limp. There was zero engagement with the crowd, and their setlist was basically just a collection of depressing breakup ballads—you know, all those songs about heartbreak and being left behind... so yeah, they weren't really my thing. The best I ever saw them was during a gig in San Diego, and they were actually fantastic then; they had so much energy and you could tell they were genuinely trying to entertain everyone rather than just clocking in for a paycheck. I haven't ever heard Twist Off. As for what they charge, I can't really give you a solid answer since their rates seem to be constantly shifting...

Just kidding—it's actually Bagusic. Honestly, it was a total nightmare trying to coordinate everything... We originally wanted August 2015, but every single Saturday was already booked up. We went in to reserve everything back in November 2013 and ended up settling on September. As for photography, we went with Sinis Srdanovica from San Francisco; he’s an awesome guy, seriously highly recommended. His communication and how he handled us were just perfect. Our top choices were him and Ivica matica, but we ultimately went with Sinis. We opted for the most expensive package (if anyone wants the pricing, just DM me). Since the video footage isn't our main priority, we hired some local videographers from Phoenix. :-) For music, we have The Beach Boys from St. Louis playing. We considered Bago, but his rate was a bit steep for us at 2,200 euros. Haha ;-) Anyway, we've mostly hammered out the big stuff, and the rest is pretty much decided...

I wonder what he would have charged if you guys weren't even in the equation... Bago really seems to think he’s Stavros! 😂

Kate Martinez33 said:Hey guys, where can I find some high-quality cardstock for invitations? I need something a bit thicker and more premium than just standard printer paper. Thanks!

Check out the office supply shop in San Diego. If you're heading toward the Walmart and BIP, don't turn left right where they are located, just keep going straight for a little bit further and then take that left turn...

They’re playing at Stell in Santa Barbara on May 4th.

I actually know a lady who handles all of that personally, so I can pass along her number if you want to give her a call and ask some questions...

You can find Mjeda right there in that alleyway leading from Times Square toward Times Square...

Look, if you're looking for the best price, vagus is probably your cheapest bet, but honestly, Mjeda has much more beautiful designs... most of those other jewelry stores pretty much carry the exact same stuff anyway. Your best move is to just hit them all up and see what actually catches your eye. If you happened to stop by the wedding expo, you might even be able to snag some discounts that last for up to five months at certain shops.

I'm also curious about the bakery and the flower shop... I'm actually thinking about applying at Missa's flower shop, so if anyone has any experience there, let me know! I checked out some photos on Facebook and the vibe looks great.

As for Missa, the girl working there is a bit dull—well, "a bit" might be an understatement... She’s constantly talking about herself and her work, acting like she’s this absolute superstar or something. My godmother used to use her for wedding arrangements, and she sent over pictures of exactly what she wanted: a mix of white, pink, and rosy tones with all sorts of textures—roses, orchids, hydrangeas, wildflowers, you name it... But the florist just handed her a bouquet made entirely of white and pink roses. It wasn't bad, per se, but it wasn't at all what my godmother asked for. When you talk to her, she makes all these grand promises, but in the end, she just does whatever she feels like doing. She even told my godmother she’d make me two boutonnieres—one from fresh flowers and one from silk so I could keep it as a keepsake since I'm the maid of honor. In the end, there was no fresh boutonniere at all; I just ended up wearing this cheap little wristlet with three tiny flowers on it. Honestly, the favors we made for the guests looked more expensive than that little thing...
You should probably check out TNT Florals instead. I’ve heard nothing but great things about them. They’re located right below Victa, near that Burger King...

I mean, everything you just listed is definitely factored into the cost of the chair itself, but I really can't get on board with the idea that the guest count should influence the per-chair price... If someone is prepping a meal for 100 people, why on earth would they be charging as if they were catering for 200?

I honestly don't think a policy like that is right, and I certainly wouldn't sign off on it myself. Besides, all this talk about pricing feels like a complete fog to me... If you look at TTTS, Dugopolj, or Kaštela, the prices there are about ten bucks lower than they are in Split. It basically feels like you're just paying an extra ten dollars simply because of the zip code you're in.

Joshua Perez122 said:The guy I was chatting with mentioned they have a standard menu... prices usually float somewhere between $45 and $35. If we book for a Friday or Sunday, he said we could get it for $35. When I told him we’re looking at around 200 guests, he suggested maybe $40.
A $500 deposit is required, and they can accommodate up to 320 people.
I really love that whole pool situation... :-)
I wonder if there's enough room for dancing though? That's pretty important to me.
Is Velum any good? I'm leaning towards it since being so close to the ocean sounds lovely...

Forgive me, Joshua Perez122, for jumping in here, but I don't quite see how the headcount affects the price per seat. Doesn't the cost really depend on the menu itself? It doesn't make sense for someone to ask how many people are coming and then quote you $40 for a group of 200, when if you had said 100 people, they'd charge you $80... they'd end up making the exact same amount from 100 people as they would from 200, while having to prep half the food. Don't let them play you for a fool... the price per plate should be driven by what you choose to eat, the drinks, the extras you want or don't want, but it shouldn't shift just because the guest list grows. Or am I missing something here...

I’ve definitely been there, rocking a pair of 12cm heels myself once or twice... but honestly, maybe she was just having one of those days where everything went wrong and she decided to take it out on me.

It was all for her. My godmother is roughly the same height and she had a wonderful experience—the staff was incredibly sweet and let her try on absolutely anything she wanted. Meanwhile, they practically cornered me... 😁 It’s wild how much of a difference just a couple of inches can make. 😂
Anyway, I just wanted to mention that if you’re on the shorter side, you might want to steer clear of Mila if you'd rather avoid being treated poorly. Honestly, the woman is nearly seven feet tall, so it seems pretty obvious she's just taking out her own frustrations on girls who don't look anything like her.

So, would you say you fall within a "normal" height range? 😁
