Since they have two separate parties running at once—one inside the main hall and another out under the tent—I can't help but worry about the audio overlapping and ruining the atmosphere.
They haven't actually hosted dual galas like this before... 🍿
Here are my thoughts for anyone interested in the Radisson, they're quite fresh 🙂
The hall itself was beautiful, and honestly, the hotel is lovely too—no complaints there at all. My only minor gripe might be that the dance floor felt a little small, almost out of proportion with the number of tables...
Food:
- The prosciutto, cheese, and French varieties were fine; edible and tasty. It’s not exactly like what you'd get at a local farm, but it was decent enough and I had no major issues. Portions weren't exactly huge, though I suppose the servers can bring more if needed (we didn't eat everything ourselves, but that's mostly down to the group not being in much of a mood for food 😁)... additionally, the shrimp and tuna pâté provided was very modest—just enough for two slices of bread, even though there were nine people at the table
- I only tried the black risotto, and I was very satisfied with it. I assume the white version is just as good since the plate was cleared pretty quickly
My only complaint is that there wasn't any parmesan on the table 🤷 I'm not sure if the service forgot or what
- Next was the beef stew, which looked wonderful and was served in a generous portion, though I didn't actually taste it. I did try a pasta dish that was served at the same time, and it was also delicious, though I'm not quite sure what was in it 😁
- Instead of roasted lamb, there was some kind of sliced roasted meat. Personally, it wasn't bad, but the side dish didn't really pair well with it, so my overall impression wasn't the best, even though others at the table were commenting on how great the meal was
The salad was seasoned with a strange spice that I didn't care for; it wasn't vinegar, just something else, and I can't quite recall the name ☕
- The desserts I tried were good, filling, and tasty
Service:
It was mostly young servers who were relatively quick to serve us
One complaint is that they serve sodas in small bottles, so you have to constantly flag someone down, and another issue was the lack of ice on the table. Even after we asked them to bring some, they didn't realize the ice had run out and needed more, but oh well 🙂 ☕
All in all, I think the hall is fine and isn't something that will ruin your evening, though it's true that a few things could be improved 🙂
Smoking is prohibited in the hall, so smokers have to head out to the terrace to light up
Anyway, if I've forgotten anything, feel free to ask

We’ve already locked in our date, so we’re just trying to figure out if there are any red flags we should watch out for. Honestly, we mostly care about the food and the service—everything else is just extra noise 🙂 Hvalaaaa!
If you mean the one in San Francisco, hang tight until Sunday and I'll let you know how it goes...😉
I'm starting to feel a little uneasy about this... 😁
Honestly, the police in San Diego are definitely the worst when it comes to banning everything except a few essentials 🤷
The whole thing with unknown is a bit funny to me, but let him be 😁

It looks like not everyone made it into the shot... any idea roughly how many Ultras were there?
Terry Fisher49 mentioned there were about 40 or 50 during the first half...🤷
The Ultras were probably around 100...😉

It seems the red dot method isn't working when I'm looking at photos of the choreography. How am I supposed to get any sleep without knowing exactly how many people were in the stands during that game against Indianapolis... 🤷
This was more or less what I had in mind... 🙂
I don't really care about the exact headcount, even if we could estimate it... It’s much more interesting to see six different photos rather than just shots of flags or choreography... 🤷
It’s not really my thing, but I have to say, the fleet's photos are easily the most underwhelming in the entire American scene.
Out of seven shots, you've got six showing choreography and just one with the traffic light... 🤷
It might be nice to include one where the numbers, hands in the air, and those patterns are clearly visible 👍
...
Everyone in Seattle together 🤦
I can't help but wonder how that would sound from the stands 🤣

But this whole show feels a bit forced to me. It doesn't really help the sense of originality you guys are aiming for, since reworking that song, using the flags, and all the stickers have been part of the scene here for ages. Just saying, so there's no confusion later...
One more thing, the Flotilla 🙏
it's just our classic style 😁
This last one is absolutely brutal 👍

I'd say that's more like a little local park... 🙂
The Navy fans seem much more spirited in San Diego than they do in San Francisco. At least, that’s my impression from what I've seen so far.
Cheering from the 45th to the 60th minute, just one flare, and a small turnout... you guys can definitely do better than that!
ps. Why did everyone head for the exits right at the end of the match?
Sean Brooks said:Since I see people bringing up songs, I thought I'd chime in:
-My heart's quiet suffering...
-Because of you, I'd buy shining pearls from the deep blue sea...
I don't think anyone else mentioned these on previous pages... they were the first to bring them up... and the songs are top-tier... also "Because of her I am overjoyed," "We stand in the West," and "Oh, how I love San Francisco"...
Unfortunately, they aren't that big in the media, neither on YouTube nor on forums, so quite a few people don't even know the pirate songs. To me, their originality actually puts them ahead of the Ultras and us... I went to Ocean Beach a few times for regular games (not against LA Galaxy), and in my opinion, they are the only ones on the American scene with that specific style and spirit. Even if they aren't numerous, they are always at the top for me... where else can you find that San Francisco soul...😍
And when it comes to the San Francisco style, the king is the greatest...😁
Well, those are the same letters...🤷
Could someone please write out the lyrics to this song once the flare lighting starts? ☕
The navy has some solid numbers today; you just can't match that kind of energy when there are this many people cheering...😉
