Timothy Fisher50 said:I wonder how many pounds of pastries they actually keep in stock over at Slatkarije?
Do you guys think the treats at Slatkarije are actually better than what you'd find at those local American cookie shops, or maybe just a classic neighborhood bakery?

We went to the Candy Shop for a tasting and they were seriously Top Now 🙂
Total game changer.

Joshua Perez122 said:I didn't actually ask if we could bring our own drinks... the food is $133. But honestly, I just don't want to drop that much cash on a wedding. I even reached out to a pirate. He already sent me some info. I'm not sure what my guy is going to think about everything... I really don't want things to feel too crowded. We're definitely looking at more than 200 guests... Our biggest headache is trying to visit all these venues since we're both based in NYC. My boyfriend is working full-time, and I'm still grinding away to finish up college at NYU.

Hey, we're having our wedding at the Radisson, and it works out to $107 per person, excluding dessert and drinks—we're just bringing those ourselves.
My advice? Don't hire a Pirate for a party of 200. My best friend had a crowd of 150 there, and it was just about perfect. That said, the Pirate actually has the best food of any venue or restaurant for parties. Seriously, they're Top Now.

Tried those mini macarons from her Candy Shop... one word: PERFECTION. So soft they literally melt in your mouth, and you can actually taste the real ingredients—one was strawberry, the other pistachio. mmmmmm 😍
I bet all the cookies are like that, just look at 'em. 🤷

We went to the Candy Shop for a tasting and they seriously nailed it!
Thanks for the tip 👋

So I guess I've still got until September :-)

Ah okay, thanks! :-) So, when's your big day?

thanks a ton 🙂, I took a quick look on Facebook and everything looks amazing
Where is the Candy Shop located?
Have you guys already ordered your desserts?

Hey,
anyone know a good Candy Shop in the San Francisco area that does killer desserts, but not just the basic stuff?
I'm craving cupcakes or those fancy dessert cups...

hit me up if you have any leads :-)

coastalwalker10 said:Well, I’m not entirely certain if you mean the Radisson located in San Francisco, but if you do, their most affordable menu starts at around 67 dollars.

Hey there... we booked the Radisson (the one out on the plaza) and they quoted us $107 per person—that doesn't include drinks or dessert, just their basic starter package.
As for kids, anyone under 7 gets half off.

Staff was helpful and fast, though clearly college students working part-time rather than professionals.

My boyfriend was at the reception; it started at 4 PM and lasted until almost 2 AM. Even though I assume the hall booking ended at midnight, the manager and staff didn't make a scene about the extension...

I don't know the exact price, but the couple mentioned they were happy. I can ask them if anyone cares, since we have their reunion this Friday.😁

Thanks for the reply... yeah, when I tried the food, my only complaint was the lamb, which was honestly pretty mediocre. Everything else was great for me.

So there's plenty of staff? As long as guests aren't waiting forever, I don't care.

Austin Thompson96 said:Try looking outside of San Francisco—maybe check out the Amigos restaurant in Malibu; I know for a fact they keep guest apartments right next to their catering hall, and if it isn't peak summer, the price is practically symbolic

Unfortunately, June through September is high season, so hardly anyone will let you book for just one night. I already checked with Amigos, but they're fully booked for my dates (September). I need space for about 80 people. Honestly, finding a venue is turning out to be harder than actually planning the wedding itself. :-)

Jamie Allen4 said:I appreciate the advice. Regarding the Radisson, while the beach itself is absolutely stunning, I have heard rumors that renting a lounge chair can cost upwards of $100... which seems excessive. Graso also strikes me as an excellent alternative, though I am uncertain about their capacity; does anyone happen to have specific information regarding how many chairs they actually have available? In your opinion, would Graso be a superior choice compared to Velum? I am planning my trip for June 2015, so I am hopeful that we can secure a reservation 🙂

Cheers,
I already booked the patio at the Radisson Hotel for our wedding. The prices are basically the same as their indoor hall. The cheapest option is $107 per person (drinks not included). The only difference from booking the hall is an extra $1.25 fee for the patio rental; everything else stays the same.

My fiancé and I did a food tasting and I was actually pretty impressed.

If anyone else ends up at a wedding at the Radisson, let us know how it goes.
