Help me out here, I need some advice...
1. Where can I find a good garter online or in a shop?
2. I’ve decided to DIY my own wedding invitations. Does anyone have tips on where to pick up decent paper (maybe somewhere in the San Francisco area) without getting totally ripped off? Also, any leads on a reliable place to get the text printed?

Everything I just read in the comment right above mine is spot on.!!!
The saleswoman was incredibly rude... she wouldn't let me touch anything, insisting she'd bring everything over herself.
She brings things out based on what she wants, not what I want, and the dresses they have ready to go? Not even close.
In fact, she only brought one single dress, and only after realizing she wasn't making a sale.
She kept going on about how they’re the best, that nobody has as many models as they do, that their materials are top-tier and all that nonsense.
But I can tell you the exact opposite.
The dresses were mediocre, messy, poor quality... some were even slightly torn. Honestly, it's an embarrassment for a shop that's so highly praised.
Since they used to charge for fittings $67, and now they've "lowered" it to $70, I at least expected some prestige and decent gowns.
The shop is a mess, dresses just piled on top of each other... my mom said it felt more like a flea market than some supposedly exclusive boutique.
Basically, a total disaster.
Not to mention she kept trying to push all these outdated styles on me... I didn't see anything from a recent collection; it looks like they're just holding onto old stock.
At the end, when she saw nothing was happening, she told me to "look around a bit longer," but then added there's no stock left in the store and basically implied I won't find a dress in California if I'm this picky. Just total rudeness to say something like that.
As if they're the only shop in town. She acted like I was being difficult, but they had nothing worth looking at, let alone buying.

My advice to any future brides: stay far away from this place!!!
You'll save your money and your sanity.

Sorry, but I have to jump in here... I was in for a fitting just yesterday, and those women couldn't be more helpful if they tried. First off, if you actually bother looking at their catalog, almost everything is from the new collection.
I really think it just comes down to the individual...
Every single one of my friends who got married over the last year has nothing but glowing things to say about Vesna Sposa...
Listen, girls, if you look at their Facebook page, they show all the dresses, and most of them are actually available in the showroom... it's rare to find a model they don't have. If there's a specific style you're obsessed with, you can totally ask them to order it specifically for you to try on—that's literally why you book an appointment in the first place...
$23They charge a fee for the fitting, but only if you don't buy anything, which seems fair to me... I mean, the staff spends an hour and a half, sometimes even longer, working with you...

Hey everyone, I know this question has probably been asked five hundred times already, but here goes nothing... I’m looking for a solid makeup artist who could come over to my place to do hair and makeup for about five girls (I live just outside of Savannah). If you have any recommendations, feel free to shoot me a DM
.. Thanks! 🙂

Look, the band was phenomenal, there's no debating that... they played until five in the morning... which really tells you everything you need to know about how incredible they were (honestly, some of the best live music I've experienced in a while) and why the dance floor never had a single empty spot, because people were actually dancing, people were genuinely having a blast, myself included, since if things hadn't gone exactly as I've described, nobody would have been out on that floor until dawn or feeling that kind of joy... et cetera, so there's that... I don't have any beef with anyone involved here, nor do I personally know anyone in this circle, but it’s just not right to spread blatant falsehoods on a forum over some private vendettas that only one specific individual is aware of, so I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions... Regards 🙂

Hey... look, I’m not saying the band was garbage. They actually play great. The crowd was out on the dance floor all night long—but honestly, that was more about the guests than the band itself. I think I already mentioned all this, and hey, this is just my take. Maybe someone else saw it differently. But if you ask me? They should’ve worked the room a bit more, and those breaks between sets were way too damn long... 😉
Hey everyone, I figured I’d drop a quick little critique about the party I went to last week... maybe it’ll help someone out, maybe not 😉
Look, this is just my two cents... the party itself was fantastic, top-tier crowd...
As for the venue—Hotel Meden... hmm, what can I say? The room looks fine, though it could definitely use some "fine" lighting. The food was great, and the staff was totally on point and polite... but honestly, I hate how there’s always more people hanging out on the terrace outside than actually inside the room... 😢
Now, the band—Twist OFF—that’s where things get tricky. They play incredibly well, seriously, props to them, but they didn't make a single effort to actually engage the guests or get anyone on the dance floor. It's a celebration, after all! And don't even get me started on the breaks. From midnight onwards, they spent like 80% of the time playing these total tear-jerkers... For the price we paid, they could have done sooo much better...
Anyway, if you have any other questions, just ask. Hope this helps someone... 🙂

Hey guys!
Spent half my afternoon scrolling through old threads, and honestly, it feels like everyone here is obsessed with weddings in St. Louis. We’re looking at doing something next year, or maybe even 2026—it depends on a million different things. I’m really interested in finding a venue near Savannah, since we’re coming from out by Appalachia near Miami... just kidding, but seriously, the one venue I actually liked ended up being closed down. Most of the others? Not really my vibe. Right now, the absolute prettiest spot I've found is the Buffalo Bills Mafia hall in Small Town, USA, but man, that drive would be brutal. I'd love to hear about your experiences. What should we actually be looking for when picking a venue? Thanks...
