I'm looking for both local acts and bigger names—and if you could include both male and female vocalists, that would be awesome!
You absolutely have to check out the young band Aura 😁D divine, divine

thanks :-D
I ordered a 20 kg variety pack of pastries and a wedding cake from Vidal for a party I hosted. They were incredibly cheap ($12 per pound for any kind of pastry), but they tasted totally homemade and delicious. I definitely recommend them 🙂))
Hey ladies, now that my big day is finally over, I wanted to jump on here and share how everything went. And when I say it was the best day of my life, I’m not exaggerating—everything was absolutely flawless and honestly exceeded every expectation I had. 😁 We are just over the moon. Seriously, the band Apple from San Francisco was hands down the highlight for me 😁 They were nothing short of PHENOMENAL. Such talented, professional, and genuinely great guys! Their music hit home with everyone, from the kids to the grandparents; the dance floor was packed all night long, and I cannot recommend them enough!! Also, Gordon from the RECI DA planning agency was a total lifesaver; she guided us through every step and stayed right by our side the whole time 🙂 As for Sal Aria, it was pure magic. The venue is stunning and functional, and the staff and owner are just top-tier—I can't say enough good things! The food was incredible from start to finish, and they even handled all the cleanup and packing afterward; they were so helpful. For the desserts and cake, we went with Viacom, and wow, they absolutely killed it. My makeup artist, Frank, is a straight-up genius who worked wonders (check out my mini makeover on Facebook!), and if anyone needs photos, feel free to DM me. Our photography and video crew from Studio Forever were absolute pros—super chill guys who know exactly what they’re doing. They even used a drone which was awesome; they were so low-key that we barely noticed them, yet they caught every single precious moment. Total pros. Huge thanks also to the Swallow Association for making those gorgeous little magnets that my guests get to keep as keepsakes 🙂 I know it sounds too good to be true, but I swear everything was perfect from beginning to end. Everyone involved performed at the highest level, and my guests haven't stopped calling me to say it was the best wedding reception they've ever attended 😁 I am just so happy with everything, though I'm honestly gutted it all flew by in a heartbeat. I’d do it all over again in a second!! 😁 Just soak up every single second, because this beautiful day goes by way too fast 🙂)) Big kissesss 🙂

Look, at the end of the day, it's your big moment. If it makes you happy, go for it. Everything else is just noise.🙂
analogdrifter51 said:Ladies, what’s the verdict on a black-and-white wedding theme?
I think it's killer. I'm obsessed with black, white, and red combos—actually, my whole party is going to be in those tones. 🙂 Just sticking to black and white is pure class; it's simple, but it hits hard. 🙂

You’ll find it on the way to New York City—just one turn before you hit General Mills. It’s a little side street, but look for the sign for Ana's Supplies. 🙂 Regarding Swallow, I'll DM you the number. 🙂

I’m looking for some guidance on picking out a bakery. My main priority is finding cakes that actually taste good without breaking the bank. Has anyone here had any recent experiences they can share?
Regarding favors—not the traditional kind, but more like confetti-style little gifts—what kind of price range am I looking at? I want something unique and creative, but I certainly don't want to be paying $5.00 per piece!
And finally, let's talk catering... what are we talking about when it comes to total costs including food, drinks, equipment, and service? Also, how much does it run if I just need the equipment and the staff?
Hallelujah
I went with Verizon's bakery, and their sweets are killer—about $12 a pound, plus you can get pretty much any custom treats you want 🙂 As for the favors, if you're interested, The Swallow Association is actually doing wedding gift programs now, so I can put you in touch with them 🙂
Thought I’d jump in and share some updates—hopefully this helps someone else planning their big day 🙂 I’m getting married in a month, September 18th, at an Atlanta venue we booked over a year ago. We hired the band Apple; they’re a great group of guys with a style that really fits our vibe 🙂 We’re using Forever 21 for the photography and video, and our invitations are coming from BuzzFeed in Washington, D.C.—they turned out awesome. We just started handing them out, so no rush there 😁 I’m actually making the Slack messages myself; I picked up everything for 160 guests for just $50 at New York City, where the staff was super helpful. I rented my wedding dress at Austin my place, $333 paid the deposit and will settle the rest $767 when I pick it up; they have a killer selection and the service is top-notch. We went with silver rings from the Disney jeweler in New York City, only $217 yellow Wednesday, but they look amazing 😁 For the thank-you gifts, we're working with the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity; instead of the usual cards, we're doing magnets for the guests 🙂 As for the dessert, we're getting the cake and treats from Los Angeles in St. Louis, just $12 pounds of whatever, and they are incredibly delicious. If anyone needs more specifics, just ask 🙂 That's all for now 😁
Hey everyone, anyone here actually seen Aura live before? 🙂 I’m looking into more than just the vocals—I want to know if the vibe and energy they bring to the stage are worth the ticket. Thanks in advance! 🙂))

Can I get a price for the Speen band too? 🙂
Hey everyone, back again 🙂 I want to get your take on which band I should book next. Here’s my shortlist: Taxi band ($2,400), Gabriel ($1,850), kocka ($1,950), Euforia ($1,850), or maybe Aura and Barbary ($1,950). Any recommendations? Thanks for the help! 🙂
Hey ladies, I’ve got another quick question for you (don't laugh!). So many people talk about traveling to buy wedding dresses out of state—where exactly should I be looking?
Noah Wright4 said:The Boeing... you're guaranteed a hell of a show and a good time. 🙂
What's the asking price for Boeing?🙂
My bad, Elvis Presley was 38 bucks, typo 😁
Hey everyone! 🙂
I'm getting married next September, and this Monday we're heading out to book the Las Vegas venue in San Francisco 🙂 We checked out a bunch of different halls and restaurants, but Las Vegas totally blew me away—the space is stunning! I wanted to share what we found during our search: starting with Las Vegas, it’s $38 per person (that's for a Friday, since every Saturday is booked up through November), or $36 if we bring our own wine. The menu is pretty standard, but they include tuna pâté for the appetizer, salad with the main course, and an extra chicken dish with gorgonzola. That venue had a total "wow" factor for me; I fell in love instantly. 🙂 Hard Rock Cafe was $40 per head, and honestly, the menu was incredible—they have a massive selection and the waiter we spoke with was wonderful. But we passed on it because the room feels a bit cramped, and the dance floor is way too small for my taste (we're expecting 130-150 people), and I need plenty of room to move on the floor. 😁 Then there was John Smith's hall over at FedEx—I really liked it, the owner is great, and the price is a steal at $33; definitely in our top three. The Say Yes venue only takes groups of 150+, and it's $40 per person. The outdoor area is nice, but the hall itself felt a bit too basic. The owner seemed friendly enough, but he disappointed me by saying he'd email the quote that evening, and here I am waiting three days later. I even sent him a follow-up message, and he just brushed me off saying he was busy. Marriott was $40 with a completely standard menu—nothing special, so I crossed them off the list immediately. Elvis Presley was $30, and while the owner was super nice, the hall is just too huge for our guest count; we'd have to rope off sections, and I wasn't a fan of the outdoor vibe. After looking at everything, once I walked into Las Vegas, I just knew—it was love at first sight. 🙂 Et cetera, hope this helps someone out! If you have questions, just ask. 🙂 Best, talk soon about the rest of the details. 😁 P. S. What’s the going rate for bands these days? Do you have any recommendations in the $1,000-$1,800 range? Thanks!
