Does anyone know where I can find some hair accessories around San Francisco? Nothing too crazy, just maybe a little clip or something since I'll be rocking a low ponytail

I was actually going to go with the heart designs first, but there are just so many people involved that I don't think even half of us could fit our names on there and the prints with the photo and date ended up costing me about $34, though I have no clue what the shipping would run to here in the States

Ronald Anderson48 said:Thanks, but they don't have it at ST Offertiss, and honestly, I have zero creative bone in my body. I'd probably just screw it all up😁

Still on the hunt for a band and a photographer in ST. Every decent one is already booked—it’s an absolute nightmare 😢 I know exactly what vibe I want, but finding someone available is impossible.

Has anyone heard of Antea Mrčela? She seems a bit more modern to me..

Please, help me out 🙂

Noah James23, BTW, I found out you just have to notify the security guards when the cake arrives so they let the cars through, and that's it! And better yet—nothing needs to be paid 😉

Also looking for a makeup artist who won't make me look like a total freak. Come on, you bachelors from the San Francisco area, where are you hiding? 🙂

Oh, I was just about to write to you.
I went with the A2 size for the dream prints because there are so many of us... though I doubt everyone will actually leave one, haha. Her website is in German, but I'm pretty sure you can order in English or just reach out to them. As far as the photos go, the site doesn't show anything except our names and dates. The instruction sheet is in German, but I'll just print out my own version in English myself.
As for makeup, maybe check out Tina Kalinic, miss makeup, or Violeta Kekezovic... they seem great and you won't end up with that heavy, caked-on look.

Does anyone happen to know where I could pick up those card storage boxes here in the States? Also, I'm looking for a different kind of guest book—maybe one of those tree designs where people can sign their names or leave fingerprints? I saw it on Pinterest and honestly, I'm pretty obsessed with the idea.

We actually did our guest book just like that... I ordered mine from DaWand, though it was through a German vendor, so shipping to the States ended up being a bit of a thing.

Here's the link, so maybe you could check if they ship to the US
We've got Dominic's wedding coming up pretty soon As for parking, if I remember right, you don't need any special permits from the city. You can just grab a spot at the downtown market once they clear out all the vendor stalls (our wedding isn't until around 7 PM), but for the other guests, I guess it's harder to say

wiredpuma50 said:Yeah, but they’re being super shady about their pricing. I actually have to go see them in person to get a quote (which isn't exactly convenient since I don't live in St.).. that's why I'm asking here—has anyone actually ordered from them before and knows what the damage is gonna be?

We ended up going with them... we did a cake for 80 people that was around $2300 (I'm not 100% sure, I'd need to dig through my paperwork), plus some single servings, mini bites, and 10 extra cakes. They mentioned they don't really do those "dry" pastries, if that makes sense. I think the weight was roughly $33... but honestly, you could check out what they have at that bakery in San Diego... a pound is about $27... all in all, I was pretty happy with everything and you can find most of their prices on the website

The cakes and pies are
And I guess the prices are pretty decent too... you can probably just check their website

Seriously, what is with all the heavy makeup in Los Angeles? It’s just... too much. I honestly wouldn't want any of that artificial stuff sitting on my face.

I guess I'll reach out to Cukarin and Dolce & Gabbana then—never actually heard of them before.

We ended up going with them... for a group of about 70 people. $600 For 90? I think it was around 2300, but I can't quite remember the exact number.

If anyone else sees this, could you drop some recommendations for decent bakeries near the University for a wedding cake?
What’s even considered a standard price range these days?
Obviously, size matters, and I haven't really nailed down the specifics yet, but if
we're looking at a wedding for up to 200 people, I assume they can figure it out...
Thanks in advance 😉

Just keep in mind you'll probably have other sweets on the side—like little pastries and various mini cakes. We ended up getting a cake for 70 people, but our guest list is going to be closer to 200.
Megan Bishop3 said:Just wanted to weigh in on that Marriott in a small town in USA:
we stayed there recently,
and honestly, it was easily my worst experience regarding tiny portions and
terrible food quality.
From the ingredients to the prep and the flavor, everything just missed the mark.
The lamb was cold, the beef stew wasn't even close to being right, and the French dish—like someone else already mentioned—was a disaster...
The service (the speed of the servers, for instance) was actually flawless.
I don't know what they charge for a seat, but it should be waaaay lower
to justify such mediocre food.👎
It’s basically a "take it or leave it" situation; if you don't like them, I guess you just have no other options given how busy they are.

I could use some advice regarding bakeries—specifically for a wedding cake:. Location is San Francisco.
We're looking for a specific shape, which shouldn't be an issue,
but the prices are absolutely terrifying 🙂
Like, over $1.00 or $3,500 per cake-
so I reached out to some larger bakeries like Zenith.

Please, give me some tips on how to save my budget 😵

Maybe My Cookies in the suburbs?

Austin Hughes8 said:You talking about those Asian paper ones? Not sure about the legal side, but from what I've seen during dry seasons, I wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole. They're unpredictable—one second they're floating, the next they drop or catch fire, and if they land on someone's house or a pine tree, it's game over. You don't need that kind of stress on your party day.

Anyone near San Francisco know of a villa with a pool (not required) available for rent for a party? Maybe 2-3 days in mid-September.

Maybe check Booking or Airbnb.

Hey ladies, has anyone here actually used Miller catering before? Just wondering if they're any good. Thanks! 🙂

Michael is definitely the one... maybe check him out on Facebook.
Elizabeth Ross3 said:Thanks for the input. I was also eyeing Beep Pictures, but I’ve heard through the grapevine from two acquaintances that they were stuck waiting an entire year for their shots, even though payment is supposed to be immediate after the regatta. Has anyone else actually dealt with them? Personally, I think the photos are stunning, but sitting around for a year is just unacceptable...

We ended up hiring them for our wedding. We put down a $400 deposit, paid some right after the big day, and then held onto the rest until the photos actually arrived. They told us it would take about four months. They shot a ton of our friends and family, and everyone was waiting on those pictures... maybe six months max, I guess. I really hope we aren't stuck waiting a year for ours.
