I don't even know what to say to that. Just ridiculous. mistycyclist4 says:
I know I’m probably being annoying by now, but I’m just going to quote myself one more time...
Is there seriously nobody here besides Fafenstein's girl who actually has experience with this stuff? I honestly thought this was some common medication that everyone was on, but clearly, I was wrong. 🤷 Maybe they're doing so well they don't even need the psych couch anymore. 😁

I’ve been on Effexor XR 75 mg once a day for about five months now. I take it every morning and hit my therapy sessions once a week too. When I first started, the nausea was brutal—I couldn't even eat, so I dropped about 8 or 9 pounds, which honestly wasn't a bad thing for me. After about twenty days, things finally started looking up. I actually started leaving the house again. I can go to the mall without spiraling, hit the movies, and I even sat through a packed three-hour show of *Cowboys* recently and laughed my head off. I'm finally getting back to work after being out on medical leave for quite a while. I've dealt with anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. Even though I just lost my dad 15 days ago, I don't wake up with those dark thoughts anymore. I feel like I'm actually living again. The panic attacks aren't 100% gone—driving alone still creeps me out, so I'm taking it slow there, and I still grab my husband's hand when we go to big stores—but I feel like I'm finally regaining control. Between the meds and therapy, it's working. Sometimes I get a bit wired or euphoric, like I'm riding a wave of pure adrenaline. I used to deal with some insomnia, staying up until 4 AM, but maybe since I've been off work, I've finally learned how to relax because I'm sleeping much better now. This is my first antidepressant, and it feels like it was made for me. I don't know what the future holds, but for the first time in a long time, I'm feeling hopeful. I'm rooting for you too! Goodnight!

If it means having a new, better drug to turn to later, then fine. Honestly, I’d eat literal garbage if it meant feeling this good. And yeah, maybe I'll be okay, maybe I won't, then I'll be okay again—that's just life.
Besides, my brain is already fried regardless; might as well let it happen while I'm actually enjoying being alive.

I hear you. I’d drink just about anything if it meant feeling better. I’ve been on Effexor for three months now and it’s completely turned my life around. If I hit another slump, if I lose all my drive again, or if my receptors just get burnt out, give me whatever—I'll take it. Now that I know this can actually be treated, I know things can change. Of course, it's not just the meds; I'm seeing a therapist once a week too. I'm trying to scrape together every bit of strength to stay positive and not let panic, fear, or depression run my life. I'm working on building my confidence back up. Every little step feels massive to me, like finally driving myself again or getting back to work. It feels like I'm actually living again. These meds saved me because, looking back at this summer, I couldn't even go to the beach here in California. I wouldn't leave the house for days. Every single morning, I'd think my life was pointless, even with my two kids—they're 10 and 15—and my husband supporting me through everything. My whole family suffered because of what I was going through, but they're finally thriving now because they see me smiling. Seeing my girls happy because their mom is actually functioning, working, and not just lying in bed crying all day... it makes it worth it. I'd take the pills, the poison, whatever, just to never feel that level of despair again. A few months ago I was spiraling, but now I finally see light at the end of the tunnel. For everyone else out there who's been through this hell, what do you think? Is there hope for us?🙂

It actually works out perfectly for me, though people around me have already started pointing out how much weight I'm losing. I never really struggled with being overweight to begin with, but now I'm thinking about dropping even more. My friends are all telling me I shouldn't bother since I'm pretty tall and wouldn't want to look too thin, but I'm curious—has anyone else here lost weight using Wellbutrin? I heard it was known for that, so I wanted to see if it's true for you guys too.😁

I've only been on Taylor Swift for about 10 days and I've already dropped 6 pounds. I get nauseous sometimes, so I just don't feel like eating. My doctor told me that was expected and that weight loss is part of the deal. I don't feel any better yet, though—maybe I haven't been on it long enough. I'm sticking with it and we'll see.
