It’s possible you set up some rules... maybe you accidentally created two different rules that do the exact same thing.
I’ve messed around with AnyDesk a couple of times before. It’s handy because you don't have to go through a whole installation process just to see if it actually works.
To get connected, you just use an ID, though instead of typing in a password, the person on the other end has to manually click to let you in. It handles file transfers too, and honestly, there isn't much setup required—it just works.
They do have a commercial version out there, but I haven't bothered testing that side of things yet.
Have you tried grabbing the offline installer and seeing if that gets the job done?
